This is a great workshop for learning the basics of designing patterns and decorating a temari. We learned about how patterns are designed based on the number of "wedges"/hemispheres that the sphere is divided into, selecting colors, adjusting the design for different thread weights, etc.

It was lovely to do this workshop with mum. We are both crafters and enjoyed this being part of our trip. It was interesting to learn something new and enjoyed learning about the history and cultural significance.
