So enjoyed this trip - Jayy so informative and was enjoyable listening to his experiences with the Bajau people and thoroughly enjoyed the happy children and show - highly recommend!!

Jayy was our guide and he was very friendly, efficient and informative. We were able to see how the people in these village communities live and we felt very welcomed by the locals. This trip has been a highlight of our holiday and we felt very privileged to meet and interact with the lovely people of these communities. Thank you, Jayy!

Disappointing and upsetting.

Efficient pick up and driver. Gypsy village was an island encased in litter and floating excrement. Island guide showed us how to wear traditional dress, offered a small fishy rice dish and bottled water and watched/joined I'm dances. Showed us inside a family house so very informative but so much mess and squalor was upsetting. Not the conventional way of living but not nomadic. Children swimming under tgeir houses, dodging trash. None if the residents bothering to tidy. We couldn't have a lunch out as it was Ramadan. Nice driver called Jayy.

Above and beyond my expectations

This was a dream come true. I wanted to visit Bajau Laut for a long time and not until I was there could I believe that it really was happening! Because of this I didn't have many expectations and was truly impressed by how well organised everything was. My guide Jayya was amazing. He didn't want to rush anything and I appreciate it very much. I saw how the people lived but without intruding their homes, which is great! The trip focuses on culture - I got to experience music, dance and also very interesting amd well prepared food. Jayya has excellent knowledge and I strongly recommend him as a guide. I will be for ever thankful that this trip was organised.

I had an amazing time at Kampung Gipsi Sabah. The warm hospitality, rich cultural heritage of sea gypsy, and interactive workshops like congkak, henna & batik made it an unforgettable experience. The guided tour by Mr Jayya was informative, and dance sessions were fun, and the snack was delicious. The cultural performances were captivating, and the entire visit was a beautiful journey through local traditions. Highly recommend for anyone looking to immerse themselves in culture and history of the Sea Gypsy.

what an experience. I can directly see the Bajau ethnic group's way of life... I can learn about how they live, their traditions, and much more. Their dance performances are very enjoyable. Their tour guides are knowledgeable and friendly.
