This is an absolutely amazing tour. Our guide Eddie was fantastic. I leaned so much about cocoa, the animals, the island of Borneo and Sabah!
Starting at the Mosque, then the chocolate factory, to the cruise, dinner, sunset and the fireflies, it’s fabulous and I would highly recommend this tour.
Thank you Eddie for making it such a wonderful day!

Very good excursion with varied activities. The guide, John, and his helpers on the boat were very pleasant and helpful. Please note that the mosque is not included if you go on a Friday. Luckily, we saw proboscis monkeys twice, but people who went with a different operator did not see any monkeys.

A wonderful experience getting to see some of the sights of Sabah! John our guide was excellent, he is knowledgeable, friendly and professional and ensured we enjoyed our trip! The chocolate factory stop was interesting and informative and we certainly enjoyed the taste session, on the river we saw proboscis monkeys, macaques, herons, kingfisher's, woodpecker and baby crocodiles, after sunset we enjoyed the magical fireflies that make the trees look like Christmas. Overall a wonderful experience that I would highly recommend!!!

We had a very well-organized trip with a diverse and engaging program throughout the day. Our guide, Timmy, was fantastic—very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what he does.
Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t on our side, and we had some rain. We spotted one proboscis monkey from quite a distance, but this is nature!
However, the highlight of the trip was the fireflies—they were absolutely magical, even flying onto the boat, creating a truly fairytale-like atmosphere.
A big thank you to Jimmy and his boat team for their efforts and hospitality!

No mosque in the tour due to Hari Raya. Roadworks caused long delays. Van was not suitable for such 2.5 hour journey. Back at the hotel very late. Dirty toilets at river trip. River trip it selfwas fine, but not worth the long uncomfortable journey.

Our driver and guide Timmy was great. Very knowledgeable and explained everything very well. Only saw one probiscis monkey, but so far away could not even take a picture or make out details. Nature is that way so no one’s fault, just set your expectations. Firefly experience was okay, nothing fantastic. Overall a nice day out of the city.

A nice day out with many different and interesting activities. The overall pace of the tour is also very nice. Tour guide Timmy is very informative and the overall coordinator Simon is also very funny. Highly recommend!

Fantastic must do. Seeing monkeys, lovely dinner and mosque good experience. Its rained later that day so poor visibility of fireflies. Simon is an excellent guide and looked after us very well from start to drop off thank you!

We saw proboscis monkeys, fireflies ,mangroves and beautiful sunset. We were impressed with the tour guides who were friendly, knowledgeable and polite. Simone our guide for the chocolate factory told us lots of interesting information and had a great historical and general knowledge Edie who was our main guide was informative, caring and helpful. He was very knowledgeable about the different animals, natural environment and plants. He explained to us a lot of interesting things about animals, plants and human effects on the environment, and at times making it humorous and fun. He ensured that everyone was well looked after and even took mirror imaged of us. Thanks Edie. The refreshments and dinner were delicious and tasteful too. Thanks to the local ladies who prepared them. We do recommend this tour for everyone.

I enjoyed this tour very much even though the weather condition did not allow me to see the most beautiful natural landscape. My guide Eddie and Zai were very friendly and knowledgeable about Sabah nature, landscape, lifestyle, culture and politics that they shared many interesting stories on the way to the floating mosque, chocolate factory, and the Bongawan River. There were two nice boat rides in the river, the first one for the Proboscis Monkeys and the second one for the fireflies. It was unfortunate due to some heavy rain in the afternoon, we couldn't observe the beautiful sunset at the beach.

No photographer (but tour says it is included), started 1 hour later because no floating mosque (not available on fridays), but no discount price for shorter time
Tour guides were very good. Quite knowledgeable and friendly.
Guide caught fireflies for customers which was a nice gesture
Usually we don’t like side trips like chocolate tour but it was quite good. Very informative about cacao plus many samples to taste.
Overall nice enjoyable tour. Would strongly recommend.

This was a very enjoyable experience and was great value. The meal at the end of the tour was great. Well organised, very informative, broad day. Eddie had a huge knowledge about all the tour, mosque, chocolate factory, river cruise and all the wildlife we observed as well as broader discussions about Malaysia. Eddie also spoke excellent English. We had a couple snacks and an amazing dinner.

It's a nice arranged trip. We experienced the nature, learned about a bit history about Sabah, and saw the most fabulous sunset on the beach! Big thanks to our guide Timmy, he is professional, friendly and funny. He made conversation with each of the guest, and made sure everyone had a good time. My husband and I enjoyed the overall experience very much. Since it was Friday, we weren’t able to stop by the mosque, but the chocolate factory, the river trip, and sunset at the beach more than made up for it. We saw SO many monkeys, it really surprised me. And even though the weather was not the best for taking those typical beach pictures, it was still a wonderful experience and a beatiful scenery. The moment with the fireflies was truly astounding and magical! They really know how to handle the fireflies and everyone was super respectful of all the creatures we encountered. The food that was provided was also very delicious, with tasty vegetarian options. Special shout-out to Timmy for being a superb guide and driver. He dominates both English and Chinese (not sure which version) and made everyone feel welcome and included throughout the whole trip. Highly recommend everyone to book with him!

Amazing tour guide Timmy was knowledgeable and funny. Saw more than what was mentioned. Can not fault this tour at all. The locals who helped with the tour were more than accommodating. The dinner served by the local tribe was phenomenal. Could not recommend this tour enough.

Excellent day out on Bongawan River cruise. Tour includes visit to mosque, chocolate manufacturer along with river. Saw proboscis monkeys, long tail monkeys and a crocodile 🐊. Good sunset to finish up and then fire flies and then a lovely authentic meal prepared and served by local community ladies.
Timmy our leader, was terrific, informative, fun and genuinely concerned to provide a great time. Our boat trip was terrific. Stopping and back tracking to see wild life up close. (Other boats just zoomed past). Mini bus was new and comfortable.

Simon was a wonderful guide! He didn’t just do everything according to the experience but he also made everything he could to gift us a beautiful and unique experience! He took us photos, he recommended us smother things for the incoming days! He put up some nice music on the way to go, definitely a kind soul! Also the other guides that took part of it in the experience were al very nice!
