Our weather was rainy and blustery, but we still had a fantastic time! Be prepared to walk a bit uphill during the jaunting part of the excursion as the horse may tire during the steep incline portion if you have several people in your cart. The Gap of Dunloe view coming down was exquisite!

Be prepared for rain and get to know your jaunty cart mates well. The experience is stunning and you will pinch yourself every moment. Bring cash.

The Gap of Dunloe was absolutely breathtaking and the jaunting cart was exceptional. Both our jaunting cart driver and boat captain were wonderful. However, our start was very bad. The bus driver snapped that he did not care if we had the appropriate paperwork, yelled to everyone that we needed to leave 15 minutes early and, when a fellow passenger said "we have 15 minutes before the tour starts," he screamed at her to "get off his bus." He drove like a maniac and was angry the entire time. He ended up dropping us off to the first stop an hour early and he left. The boat captain wasn't permitted to take us until the appropriate time, so everyone waited. Meanwhile, it was discovered that our family had been directed by them to the wrong place. We had to be taken back to the start of the tour with the angry, crazy driver. He picked up multiple other people while driving us back so we spent the first hour being shuttled around in the van. It was horrible. When I spoke to the company about our experience, they just said that they did not have their usual staff that day. It was a terrible shame this happened because the jaunting cart and boat ride where just incredible experiences.

This was greatest experience! Even if it rains the experience and scenery was wonderful! This is not the experience for you if you have mobility issues. Book it!

We did the gap of dunloe 30 yr ago on horse back on our wedding anniversary, returned 30 yr later did it again in a jaunting cart, on our 30th anniversary, thoroughly enjoyed it would recommend to all.

The boat trip across the lakes and the Jaunting cart ride through the Gap of Dunloe was a fantastic experience. fortunately the weather was kind as I doubt it would be very good were it raining. The boatman was very informative and the cart driver equally so and very funny

We loved the jaunting car experience. Katie was great with Rosie and shared stories about her lifestyle. She was brilliant
The boat through the lakes was so interesting .our skipper was excellent and the boat so stable across the choppy water .

We wanted to do the full Gap of Dunloe, which was complicated to figure out without booking transportation. The jaunting car was a comfortable ride with amazing views. Plenty of time to explore around Lord Brandon's cottage before the boat ride back. Make sure to do this on a day with good weather - otherwise you'll be very sad.

Though it was pouring down with rain on that day, we had a fabulous time! The transport worked out perfectly and the people organising the Jaunting Cars did a good job in finding four people to do the ride together. The guy driving our Jaunting car had a lot of humour and we had a great time! But also the ones of our group who had decided to walk the little road of the gap of Dunloe arrived without stress in time for the boat ride. Also the boat ride, though still awfully wet from above, offered great views and showed the good skills of our boat driver. Alltogether a great experience - glad we didn’t miss out on that!!!!

Beautiful excursion! When there was a mix up, they resolved VERY quickly. We did this excursion 18 years ago and wanted to do it again when we brought our kids back this time

This was so hard but wonderful in the same moment. I was not mentally prepared for 7 miles... 3.5 of them up hill... but I did it. Bring water. Wear layers and say hi to the other walkers. The drive there was great. The boat ride was amazing. Great guides... the treats at Brandon's Cottage was great. Bring cash!
