The Riding Stables are located just 1.5 miles (2km) west of Killarney Town on the ‘Ring of Kerry’ / Dingle Road’ towards Killorglin (the next town). Situated on the right hand side of the road, with a large stone entrance to a Red Brick Stable Building clearly sign posted ‘Riding Stables’.

- Not recommended for travelers with back problems
- Not recommended for pregnant travelers
- No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
- Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
- Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the start time to prepare for the ride. The ride will leave promptly and not wait for late comers. No refund for late comers.
- Please note children need to be 8 years and older to take a ride. Children under 8 years will not be allowed to ride
- Please provide children's ages, this will assist us with horse selection.
- To best match each rider with the most suitable horse available, riders will be asked for their weight, height and riding experience levels: i.e: beginner, intermediate (10 years plus regular riding) or experienced (15 years plus regular riding).
- There is a maximum weight limit of 20 stone/280lbs/127kgs.
- All participants must be able to mount a horse with relative ease and not have any medical conditions which may be adversely affected with the riding of a horse.
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 16 travelers

Park was beautiful, guides and horses were excellent. Horse riding isn't for me, but my wife is really big on it and she and her horse riding friends had a great time.

As a person who has never ridden a horse, Aidan (our tour guide) was extremely patient snd kind. We had a wonderful time and will remember this experience as a highlight of our Ireland trip. Also, be prepared for the rain!

Had a lovely time! Red deer and sika deer plentiful and the cool morning really showed the Irish beauty of the park. Jade, Aiden and the other girl ( apologies forgot your name) did an excellent job handling a large group of 11. I am a a beginner and felt very comfortable on Leo. The horses knew what to do without much guidance at all. Looking forward to returning for another ride.

Really relaxing experience. It didn’t rain on my horse back trip. Personally, I don’t think it would have been as fun if it rained but enjoyed the scenery, the quiet and the horses. Definitely recommend if you enjoy horseback riding and beautiful scenery. I am

All was fine at the riding stable. Two hour ride at a walk only. The horses were very docile. It would have been nicer to have gotten out of a walk

Today’s tour through Beautiful Killarney National Park was so much fun! 🤩 My horse was Ray, the boss of all of the other horses. Such a ham!🤣 We were behind Isla, from Sweden. Isla was a delight! We chatted & enjoyed the scenery. The group’s leader , Anna was fun & witty. Was a relaxed atmosphere & can’t beat the scenery in beautiful Ireland. Lovely people on my tour. Wonderful tour through the national park. Deer scattered throughout the park and the scenery was beautiful. The horses are very healthy and well cared for and the staff very helpful.

The whole experience was wonderful. The guides were kind, attentive and friendly. The scenery was like out of a picture book. The stable even provides boots for riders. Would strongly recommend this for anyone visiting the area!

The stables do a fantastic job of matching you with an appropriate horse and they ensure that you get to have a canter if you are capable. It was a beautiful way to experience they National park and learn some of the history.
I would have loved the opportunity to purchase a t-shirt or polo as a memento of my ride. Something with the stable name and a picture of my horse Sophie or of the scenery.

They choose the horse based off of your size and experience level. As a beginner, they handed me my horse “Ree” and the woman said “He will protect you, he is best boy” … he required almost no direction but listened to everything I asked of him. He was perfect. I was able to enjoy the beautiful Irish landscape without worry, he truly was best boy and I was so grateful for this experience! [tip your guides!]

Unfortunately, we had quite the weather during our trip. The staff was excellent, making sure everybody was OK and did the best they could to give all of us a great experience. Even with the weather or not being friendly, the view from the water was amazing.

Seeing the park on horseback is amazing. We did the 2 hour tour and the views were amazing. We were up close and personal with both kinds of deer and a few kerry cows. Great walk and trot! Thank you ladies it was fabulousfabulous

The views were gorgeous! The staff is very helpful and super friendly. We booked in November and ended up getting a private tour with our guide, no one else. Lovely views of the lake. Well mannered horses. 10/10 would book again
