From the moment we met Apple we knew it was a good choice booking our cooking lesson with her.
She was friendly, knowledgeable, funny and professional and even gave us some fresh Aloe Vera and told me how to prepare it for my partners sun burn! It was very interesting/eye opening visiting the market with her beforehand and the class venue is lovely and quaint. It was a great idea that you get to try everyone else’s food as I have now discovered I have new favourite Thai dishes. I would absolutely recommend this trip and would definitely do it again.
Also a big shout out to the two young ladies helping in the kitchen unfortunately, I didn’t get their names but they were fabulous, very helpful, friendly and polite. Also thank you to the driver who also helped my partner (😬) find some rehydration sachets as he was feeling a bit wobbly, also from the sunburn!
All in all Apple and her team were perfect!

Wow wow wow I didn’t realise I could cook. Apple and her daughter and team made this experience well worth a visit. Market visit very informative I didn’t realise there were so many vegetables and different fruits Apple was so good with the her English and made the whole experience fun. I can cook but don’t tell me wife.

Absolutely wonderful experience! Apple is so welcoming and engaging, with a clear passion for what she does. Her and her staff were very helpful, have clear instructions throughout and answered all the group’s questions thoroughly.
During the market visit, Apple talked us through all sorts of products, and explained how we could use them and when they come into season.
The food we made was delicious, and we each got to see how the other recipes were made, and the opportunity to try all of the dishes.
The facility was clean and well kept, in a beautiful setting surrounded by greenery and near a river. Would highly recommend to anyone, even if cooking isn’t your thing.

Apple is talented & personable; great host chef for an intimate class like this! The market, the Q&A, their prep prior, the chef, her sous chefs, and definitely the dishes…all an AWESOME experience! Best food I had in Khao Lak, and everyone left stuffed!!!
FWIW, those of us used to being indoor with AC, this is outdoor with fans and air flow like most experiences and dining we had in the area. Like the old adage…if you can’t stand the heat then stay out of the kitchen! ;)

Had the best time learning how to make thai food with Apple at Riverside Thai Cooking. She speaks english very well, teach you alot about ingredients and show us thins in the marked. All ingredients are fresh and good, and it’s clean in the kitchen. After cooking we got to taste all the dishes made by others in the class too. Will definetely do this class again if I ever come back to Khao Lak. Thank you so much for this memorable experience. Love from Norway

I had a great time learning about the different ingredients, cooking and eating different dishes cooked by everyone in the cooking class. Apple, our Thai chef was fun, engaging and helped us along the way. Also I would like to say a big thankyou to Rick for picking me up from my resort and dropping me back too. Together with her staff. I had a great experience. Would highly recommend this cooking class with Apple 10/10.

From start to finish... Amazing!
I had read reviews about how good it was but it is always different when you experience it yourself.
There were 3 of us in my party and 6 of us all together, Apple and here team were most accommodating and inclusive.
Apple was very knowledgeable and informative and just absolutely lovely! We were well fed and watered also with a few extras
We all had picked a different dish to make yet she managed to organise it all so well, all of our food was still hot to eat even after waiting for the last dish to cook
Cannot fault this experience with one of the loveliest people!
Just an added extra, Apple then arranged for those who wanted to, to be dropped off at the light festival!

Loved going to the market. Learning about the different fruits and vegetables. Tasting delicious fried jackfruit.
The drive to Apple's place was was beautiful with so many palm trees in rows.
It was fun making the dishes and Apple was very knowledgeable, extremely friendly. As it is low season, we were the only ones in the coming class so it was a private class. We had some food allergies and Apple was very flexible accommodating us.

From the market shopping experience, to creating a curry paste from the scratch, the method to adding the ingredients, the cooking and aromas it produced and the eating of the final product.
Amazing experience, and the added bonus that as a group of people all making something different that we enjoyed seeing each dish created method of the construction of each dish and as well tasting everyone else's food. Apple our teacher was fantastic.

Most memeorable was Apple herself. A lot of energy in one small person!
She was really serious about cooking, not serious like boring but serious like she wanted us to make the food in the right way. Going to the market for ingredients was a really informativ experience.
We might take a class again to learn even more.

We did the afternoon class and it was great! We didn’t go to the market but instead we got to do spring rolls and a mango rice pudding and to be honest it would’ve been too hot to mooch around a market so it was perfect. Apple was a great host really helpful with communication before the class and She’s an amazing cook! Every single dish we cooked was to die for! And to think she makes these dishes in a basic kitchen is amazing. We learnt a lot of tips that we can take back to the Uk to help us so all round was really insightful.

Loved this experience so much! I'm glad I did the morning class so that I could go to the market. I learned so much just from walking through it with Apple and the rest of the group. Also, I loved that the group sizes are so small, there were only 6 of us total but it was the perfect size and I still couldn't finish everything we cooked up. For the food, Apple gives a pretty extensive menu of items you can choose to cook. Once you pick your main that's the one that will be your responsibility to prepare for the group (with Apple's guidance of course). We also were given plenty of water and soda and I didn't feel too rushed, was able to help others with their dish if needed and also had a chance to observe everyone make their dish. At the end we got to enjoy the feast we prepared and taste some local fruits bought from the market or grown by Apple herself. Highly recommend Apple's cooking class!

I cannot begin to tell what a wonderful experience I had with April at the cooking class! She was really flexible and right from pick up to the market and the super delicious dishes we made. Absolutely my best experience in Khao lak, just book with April l and look no further!

Hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht sehr nette Köchin und freundliche Assistentin wurde mit sehr viel Humor alles erklärt und gekocht und zum Schluss nartürlich das selbergekochte gegessen einfach gut!!!

Es war ein sehr schöner Kochkurs mit Marktbesuch man bekommt alles gut erklärt man darf von jedem das Essen probieren und zuschauen wie es gekocht wird es war einfach top :)

Die Abholung hat pünktlich und reibungslos geklappt. Appel war super nett. Hat alles auf Englisch gut erklärt, wobei sie etwas schnell spricht. Jeder konnte sich selbst ein Gericht aussuchen und kochen. Es wurde auf individuelle Bedürfnisse: Schärfe, vegetarisch, oder z.B Vorlieben der Fleischauswahl Rücksicht genommen. Unsere Gruppe passte erfreulicherweise sehr gut zusammen. Es war ein tolles Erlebnis und hat Spaß gemacht. Wir würden es wieder buchen. Vielen Dank!

Das neue Kochstudio von Apple liegt in einem tropischen Garten und ist sehr schön gestaltet. Kochen und der vorherige Markt Besuch haben wir immer Spaß gemacht.

Der Kochkurs mit Apple war großartig. Ich war am gebuchten Termin krank und wir konnten ganz kurzfristig auf den nächsten Tag buchen!!! Die Kommunikation mit Apple lief ganz unkompliziert über WhatsApp. Wir wurden pünktlich vom Hotel abgeholt und sind zunächst zu einem lokalen Markt gefahren. Hier hat uns Apple viele Sachen gezeigt und erklärt. Die Kochschule mitten in der Natur ist sicher einzigartig, alles war super vorbereitet. Das Team von Apple ist sehr freundlich. Das Kochen selbst war ganz einfach, Apple hat jeden Schritt erklärt, Wünsche (Veggetarier, nicht so scharf ;), Koriander..) wurden berücksichtigt- alles in allem sehr gelungen und unbedingt empfehlenswert- Apple und ihr Team sind Großartige Gastgeber
