What a great day. Ron was a fantastic guide with superb knowledge and also told us about the Thai lifestyle as well as the creatures, flora and fauna. We saw everything that we wanted to and had a very relaxing and spectacular bamboo rafting experience. The Thai lunch was varied and catered for the vegetarian that was in our group, Ron ensured that we had cold drinks on tap throughout the day. This was an excellent day that we would recommend to anyone wanting to explore the jungle in a relaxed setting.

Walk on the Wildlife Side

Sandeep_M, Apr 2026
Very good trek in Khao Sok national park, so much to see and experience. Our guide was really good and informative. Water was readily available, and very welcomed in 30+°C. Our excursion started really early in the morning, which we thoroughly enjoyed before more tourists arrived later in the morning. The bamboo rafting was so pleasant & relaxing, listening to the wildlife, and then, by the help of our guide, spotting a Water Monitor Dragon, Amazing! Lunch was "Xr̀xy māk" we had second helpings. The whole excursion was very much worth it, a great half day out. Note: Wear comfortable trainers, take sliders/flip-flops for rafting. Take Sunscreen / Towel & you'll definitely need insect repellent, it's a must.

Challenging, but experiencing something new and different made it worthwhile.

Learning about the jungle from our knowledgeable guide among was our biggest takeaway. Additionally, Mong would find great opportunities for me to photograph many types of animals in the wild.

Worth every penny!

This was an incredible day out during our stay in Khao Lak. Our tour guide Mong was so friendly and knowledgeable, no amount of questions was too much trouble for him. He’s so passionate about the nature there and took a lot of time and effort to help us spot the wildlife. He made sure we had bottled water available all day long and many opportunities for breaks and photos. I wouldn’t have wanted to do this tour with anybody else. The hike is long and tiring but so worth it for the dip in the river at the end. The canoe tour was also amazing, we spent time with some local men jumping into the river and had coffee in bamboo cups with them at a deserted location. Incredible day, so glad we did it as will always remember.

Above expectations!

Amazing your, unique blend of nature sightseeing and then relaxation on the river. The guide was great and he took the time to explain to us many benefits of the trees or plants we met on the way. We have seen 3 pit vipers too! :) The coffee stop and the gift of bamboo cups were very welcoming and rewarding ideas. All in all, an excellent experience, fully recommend it!

Expensive for very little experience

Peter_D, Feb 2024
FAR too expensive for what it is. This is really a tour aimed mostly an older people, families, or those who want a very easy, leisurely day. While technically, the tour does what it says, it does the bare minimum. The walk through the jungle is on a path wide enough (and smooth enough) for two cars to pass each other, so you don't really feel like you're walking through the jungle. You only go up to the ranger station, an extremely easy walk that anyone can do without a guide. Then, instead of going into the deeper jungle where a guide is needed, you turn around and go back to the van. We saw almost no animals aside from a few spiders and monkeys, and there was no waterfall, there's just a small stream passing over some rocks. Forget about swimming, the water wouldn't go above most people's knees. Lunch was pretty good for this sort of thing, a restaurant serving multiple tour groups at once. The canoe trip is short and rowed by someone else. You don't see much and it's not very relaxing or enjoyable, it feels like a time filler and something they can use to "check the box". The coffee stop also felt weird and awkward, it didn't fit at all and the coffee was absolutely terrible. I didn't expect gourmet coffee but we poured it out after one sip. This tour was more expensive than any other we've done in Thailand, and it provided far less than all of them. At the end, we felt like it was a waste of a day and that we didn't actually get to see and experience the jungle of the national park.

Response from Host, Mar 2024

It is clearly stated on the website that the jungle walk for this tour, is easy and designed for all ages. The walk is approximately 6 km round trip and is intended for observing flora and fauna with guided information, rather than just walking from point A to point B. For a deeper walk into the national park, a special guide and ranger are required, not offered on this tour. This is the driest season we have ever experienced, resulting in lower water levels. However, there is still running water at the stream for freshening up, although it may not be as scenic as shown in the photo. Regarding the canoe trip, it is clearly stated that a local paddler will be provided to paddle for you. Thank you for your feedback on the coffee; we will make improvements. Thank you for your review.

Would book it again in a heartbeat!!

It’s been a couple hours since the tour ended and we’re exhausted yet unbelievably thrilled. The driver and the tour guide, Rin, were absolutely wonderful and brought us to every location safely and with many interesting facts. We got to explore the Rainforest in the National Park with many sightings of monkeys, snakes, spiders, monitor lizards, fish, beetles, and many other smaller insects. Tourguide Rin had an amazing eye for the animals and made sure that everyone of us in the group got to see the animal and got to take pictures of it as well. After a quick plunge in the water near a waterfall we headed back to the car to go to our next location. (For anyone wondering, the walk is rather flat and completely doable with a pair of sneakers) The food provided at the small restaurant was fantastic and they truly did their best to accommodate everyone’s dietary needs. Water was also definitely not in short supply and we were offered bottles regularly. The canoeing offered a gorgeous scenery of the mountains in the area which were breathtaking. We even got little bamboo cups as a souvenir! All in all it was a day full of adventures, amazing pictures, and not to forget, lots of fun and good memories. Thank you especially to Rin and the driver of the car for everything. Would book it all over again in a heartbeat. Cheers!
