A very ethical sanctuary which I️ really appreciated. Our tour guide was very informative and answered any questions we had. We learned the history of the elephants they have at the facility and had the opportunity to to feed them and walk alongside one of their older elephants.

Very hot and humid with lots of bugs. Wear lots of bug spray and sunscreen. The team was very friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the safety and livelihood of the elephants in their car. Very enjoyable.

This was a wonderful small group tour and we got to feed the elephants, take lots of pictures, and talk with the guides at length about the elephants. The elephants only do what they want to do, so very respectful of the animals. And each elephant has it’s own personality and you really get to see that on this tour. Highly recommend it!

We were wary of any excursions involving elephants as we only wished to visit an Ethical Elephant Sanctuary, absolutely not wishing to contribute to anything that would cause stress or anxiety to these beautiful animals. If you choose to do an elephant excursion then highly recommend this guided tour with Khao Lak Elephant Sanctuary which is definitely an ethical sanctuary. We got up close to 5 gorgeous female elephants who all had a sad back story until coming to this caring sanctuary. Each has their own personal carer who are trained in how to support them, they are fed a very healthy and plentiful diet, are taken on regular walks and also have freedom. All 5 elephants were in great health and appeared very happy and content with their new lives gaining confidence and living without fear. We learnt about their diet snd well being and went on a short walk with one of the elephants as we had chosen only the short small group guided tour. Take care not to visit any so called sanctuary that involves bathing the elephants as this is just way too stressful for them and thankfully this is absolutely not permitted at this sanctuary. We enjoyed many opportunities for photos taken by ourselves but also by our lovely guide.

Very interesting visit to elephant sanctuary. We did the 1.5 hour experience which included hotel pick-up, the opportunity to feed several elephants and walk among the river trees with one of them. No touching, no bathing and no riding which was what we wanted. Mae, Tony and the gentleman who greeted us on arrival were very knowledgeable and informative and clearly cared deeply about the elephants

Really magical experience. The elephants are very well looked after, loads of space to roam free and never forced to do anything, they choose to go wherever they want and you just follow them which is great. The guides are very knowledgeable and you can tell they really care for the elephants here. Would definitely recommend.

I looked for an elephant sanctuary that didn't bathe, swim, or touch these beautiful animals and decided on this sanctuary. We were divided into small groups, given a bit of history on the elephants then was able to feed them bananas. We then walked with them, more like followed them around. They weren't forced to move, eat, or walk where they didn't want to. It's an experience we will treasure...

Elephants are lovely, we did not want to ride or bathe with them, this experience was great as we fed the elephants bananas and walked with one too our guide was knowledgable about the elephants that we were introduced to.

Really easy to book, described as an Ethical Sanctuary, which is 100% what we wanted, no touching,bathing, and this is just what we got.
Tony, our guide told us all about the Elephants on site, their backgrounds and how they came to be rescused.
We had a walk with one elephant who seemed totallly happy grazing and splashing in the stream whilst we stayed at a distance to observe.
Really lovely day with these gentle giants and the people who care for them.

Picked up earlier than expected...time stated is for the start of the tour at the sanctuary! Short wait for the start of our tour but offered free tea or coffee. We were lucky to be on our own for most of our experience and were able to observe 'our' beautiful elephant very closely. Our lovely guide, Tim, was friendly and informative, taking photos for us and giving us personal service. The elephants were very well cared for and given the space to enjoy their lives. It was so hard not to touch them, though! Thoroughly recommend. Our lift back took another couple to their hotel first so took a while but let us see a different area.

Incredible experience being able to get up close to the beautiful elephants. Towards the end of the experience, one elephant walked right beside us! It was such an amazing experience. The staff ensured we felt safe and were so knowledgeable, sharing many interesting facts about the majestic elephants.

A wonderful experience where the elephants are allowed to roam and be free. We fed the elephants in arrival and then waked with one through the jungle. Our guide was knowledgeable and very helpful.

Great time out in a relaxed environment. "Spiderman" our guide, was informative and funny. Elephants did what they wanted, with no pressure. They seemed to enjoy the feeding, and being photographed. Enjoyed the fact that our Group only had 5 of us. Nothing felt rushed. Pick-up and drop off to the hotel was fine. Great value for money. To be aware, you are asked to provide passports details, but that wasn't being enforced. Bring mosquito spray.

There are three sanctuary's in this area and the reason I chose this one was because there were no elephant rides. Tony who has looked after elephants for over 7 years and his crew ensure the elephants are living their best life - free. Yes you can feed them, yes you can pat or stroke their sides and you can walk with them. The elephants - as I presumed they would be - are gentle giants. When we walked with them through the trees, they stopped and fed, there was no pressure from the staff getting them to move on, the elephants did what comes naturally - they ate! Tony was very informative and a good experience.

The tour guide was very informative and respectful of the environment, he took his time with us, so we didn’t feel rushed, would highly recommend this to friends & family….. the only thing I would suggest is to wear long trousers & sleeves, we got bitten to death, the tour company she tell people.

Beautiful elephant sanctuary the elephants look so happy and looked after here was amazing to get up close feed them and walk with them in the forest
