Wonderful Waterfall Wander

We had a wonderful time with our guide, traveling the hillsides and tea plantations in his tuk tuk seeing both accessible and out of the way waterfalls. Wear comfortable footwear wear you that can get muddy, my friend lost her sneaker temporarily in the mud; sandals were also fine. The homemade lunch we had at our guide’s house was the best Sri Lankan meal I had during my stay. We did not encounter any leeches.

Be aware of Leeches!

Be aware of Leeches! There are many of them around the waterfalls and i got bitten a lot. Neither my guide, nor the company i booked through will tell you this information in advance, cause all they care about - is your money. My guide did NOT have a first aid kit. Please bring plasters and medication to stop bleeding cause the leeches tend to go for veins. Apart from that, the waterfalls were amazing.
