Extremely neat tour. The tour operator (Lanka Safe Tour) deserves a shout out here before I talk about Mr Fernando who was my tuktuk driver for the day. He is such a nice person to interact with and was warm enough to engage in conversations throughout the journey. His tuktuk is designed and decorated with the photos of tourists he has travelled with and that shows how dedicated and respectful he is towards his work. Highly recommend.

I was impressed with how much we managed to cram into one day! It was so much fun, especially climbing Sigiriya, which is an experience I will never forget. Shout-out to Wicky, he was an enthusiastic vibe, open to any suggestion and kept our spirits high even as we got tired at the end. Ask for him by name!

The visit to the temple and rock was very good.
I was not satisfied with driver or the condition of the vehicle.
The vehicle kept stopping/ halting when the air conditioning was on.
Driving could have been safer - the speed and general driving skills could have been better

I don’t know why this trip is rated so highly. Firstly, it’s just a cab service that takes you to certain places. The driver was not friendly and didn’t have any knowledge of the places. He was not a guide at all. Secondly, he couldn’t speak English well and couldn’t even explain basic stuff like where to get tickets, where to come and meet him, etc. Lastly, the trip description didn’t say that you need to carry your passport and even the driver didn’t ask me to carry passport when he came for pick up. As an Indian citizen, I would have got a much discounted rate for Sirigiya

Great day out. Silu our driver/guide was excellent. Above all, we felt safe with his driving despite the chaotic holiday traffic and he took us exactly where we wanted to go. No fuss, we were in total control with no additional "shopping" stops. Would highly recommend Silu.

My son (12) and I had a great day visiting Sigiriya and Dambulla. Our guide, Shaming, made sure that, in between the main sites, we stopped for tasty treats and plenty of interesting tips and info about local plants and wildlife - we stopped to walk through a rice paddy and also went looking for wild elephants, stopped at a spice garden and saw wild peococks strutting through the forest. Getting to the top of Sigiriya is no joke so bring good footwear!
It was a fascinating trip through a beautiful country and a big thanks to Shamin for making sure a tired 12 year old got the ice cream he wanted at the end of the day!

We did the one day trip to Dambulla and Sigirya. We were picked up at our hotel by our driver, Fazeel, on time. Vehicle was comfortable. Fazeel was awesome, we were able to customize what we wanted to do and we were able to get food on the way to different places. He also had some great suggestions on things to do. I would definitely recommend doing this day trip. We did skip the spice plantation because we were at one the day before

Our driver Kavishan was really nice. Very friendly and let us stop to get food upon request. Didn’t feel rushed at any of the stops. Told us very thoroughly what the itinerary was and where he would be waiting for us when we are done with each activity. Nice clean car, good knowledge and conversation. Had a really good time

Travelled from Kandy to sigarya, our driver picked us up in a mini van and was really good, not too fast and was comfortable. He was knowledgeable, helpful & provided water for us (family of four). Sigarya was amazing and well worth a visit but not for anyone who can’t manage lots of steps! We then visited the Buddha temple caves which was also brilliant (more steps though! As it’s up a hill) finally we had a pleasant drive back stopping at some supermarkets for drinks and snacks.

The trip was very comfortable. Dinesh arrived early to our hotel and took us to the Herb and Spice garden first. This was a pleasant and unexpected surprise where we learned about the local plants that have been used for generations for good health. The trip to Sigirya was then smooth, taking 2 hours at the site. We were grateful for the air conditioning afterwards after a great buffet lunch. Finally we spent an hour at the Dambulla Caves before being dropped back to the hotel by 6:30pm.

There was no guide for this trip despite it listing guide as included. I only booked because I wanted a guide. I had to pay another 10 usd "minimum" to get a guide at Sigiriya, for the cave temple and Hindu temple I had zero information, the other tourists around me all were getting information from their guides I was jealous. The profile on viator should more accurately reflect that a guide is not included.

What an amazing trip! I was very happy and satisfied with the service provided by driver Lali. He gave me options of places to visit, and we followed exactly the itinerary I preferred. He also made sure that I was safe as I traveled alone. Lali was really nice and a friendly person to talk to. This tour exceeded my expectations, and I couldn’t ask for more – well worth it and I recommend it to anyone.

Definitely worth the trip. If you are a solo traveler it’s perfect. My driver was Sura. He was super nice and gave me options of places to stop or pass by. Made the trip best suited to what I wanted. Perfect. 🤙🤙

We had a great day with Laliy to see Sigiriya. Laliy was a great driver that made us feel safe and comfortable on our trip and even stopped at a few additional places for us to get a feel (and great pictures) of Kandy.
Some tips for other travellers: leave as early as possible from Kandy. If you leave at 8 you’ll only get to Sigiriya at 11 ish and it can be extremely hot by then. Bring a towel with you as there is limited shade on the hike and it is sweaty. The trip does not include guides at the sites so if you want that you will have to pay extra on top of the entrance fees.

Chami was an excellent driver for us - knowledgable about the area, knew where to stop for quick and delicious Sri Lankan food, and got us there safely. We first stopped at Dambulla Cave Temple and then headed to Sigiriya Rock to hike the beautiful marble steps. Highly recommend this tour and company!

Had a great day trip with Dinesh to Sigirya and Dambulla! We also stopped at a spice garden where we learnt about lots of different plants and had a quick massage, as well as a beautiful Hindu temple. Was a well-planned out day trip.
You can get a tuk tuk from Kandy for cheaper, but it’s a long way to Sigirya so travelling in a car with A/C is a lot more comfortable!! We were the only ones on the tour, but Dinesh’s car was an 8 seater so could also work for a group.
Dinesh was just a driver rather than tour guide, but helped us to sort a guide at Sigirya, although there are quite a few information panels so you probably don’t need one.
Dinesh took us to a lunch place which was a buffet. We would have preferred somewhere where the food was prepared fresh, just because of food-poisoning risk, but the food was nice.
Overall a great day and would definitely recommend!

Mit einem sehr freundlichen Fahrer sind wir von Kandy nach Sigiriya, Dambulla, in einen Spice Garden und einen Hindu Tempel. Wir hatten einen außgewöhnlichen Tag. Die Besichtigungen waren beeindruckend auch wenn es aufgrund der Hitze teils sehr anstrengend war. Eine unvergessliche und individuell gestaltbare Tour!!
