Wir wurden um 6Uhr vom Hotel in Kandy abgeholt und es ging dann erstmal knapp 2 Std zu einem Dorf wo wir Singhalesisches Frühstück bekamen. Von dort war es nur noch 1km bis zum Start. Wir hatten unseren eigenen Guide, welcher uns sehr viel erklärte und sehr viel Flora zeigte und über seine Kultur und die der Einwohner Sri Lankas berichtete. Wir wanderten erst für eine halbe Std eine stets aufwärts gehende Straße entlang bis es dann am Rand des Berges relativ steil hochging. Das ging für 45min aber wir machten genug Pausen um den Puls wieder auf normallevel zu bekommen.
Danach ging es durch den Dschungel und wir konnten entscheiden ob wir auf den Knuckles Berg hovhwollen (22km mit sehr hartem Aufstieg) oder die Wasserfalltour machen wollen (18-19km mit gediegenen Auf und Abstieg)..wir entschieden uns für die Wasserfälle. Es war sehr heiß und trocken und es war die beste Entscheidung an dem Tag. Die Tour zu den Wasserfällen ist nichts für schwache Nerven und man sollte generell für die Tour ein moderates Fitnesslevel mitbringen. Wir machten die komplette Tour mit 18km in 6.5 Std mit teilweise krassen auf und abstiegen aber unser Guide war super und hat uns ein echt tolles Erlebnis beschert. Große Empfehlung!!
