The company started off late. Did mot receive full tours. Did not explain how much activity would be be included. Also late picking up at the end. No response from company

Really interesting and comprehensive! I would skip the boat ride at the Cradle museum for more time seeing exhibits.

It’s a big day and we enjoyed all that we did. The day started at 11am.
First were the Caves. It was a little challenging at times with some tight access areas but we managed all of it.
Next was Marapeng. There was some reading involved going through “Humankind”; there was also a “ride” which was a bit of fun too.
Finally we went to Lesidi and went through the five “villages”. An interesting presentation.
Lesidi finished with some vibrant and entertaining dancing; an excellent way to finish the day.
Our driver ensured that we arrived at all activities on time. There was some confusion at the end and we thought we may miss the dancing but that was resolved.
Our day finished at 7:45pm.

The first stop (Marencop) is more family oriented, but interesting for all ages. Lesedi is fun if a bit commercial. Loved the Sterkfontein Caves. All in all a fun and informative day

This tour was a nightmare. We were grouped with a couple with different tours.
Driver was not familiar with routes or times
No people skills. Did not know tour schedules

The Village of Lesidi visit was amazing. The tour guide was great, as were the settings, the dancing, the shopping. It was everything! I would definitely go again and am recommending it to friends who are visiting in December. I could have done without the visit to the Cradle of Humankind.

Driver was courteous and prompt.
Both the museum and Ledesi Village were worthwhile. Only complaint was the driver’s car was overly scented and made me cough.

Our guide, Billy, was just wonderful. As a native of this area, he was very knowledgeable and able to give us a lot of insight and information. The Cradle of Humanity was a little bit disappointing. I expected more. But really enjoyed the drive and the scenery. The Lesedi Cultural Experience was really great!

I was traveling solo and it ended up being just me with the driver as there was no other group when I was picked up. I was dropped off at the Cradle of Humankind Museum around 9am, which was a good time to beat the school groups. I ended up having a private tour.
Was then driven to Lesedi Village next and there were several other large groups there, so we moved around the village in smaller groups and there was a lunch option.
Both stops were great and the driver was great as well. Would definitely recommend for solo or group travelers.

We were pulled over by men who said they were police and they asked for our stamped passports. A photo of our passports was not sufficient. The driver had an expired vehicle registration. We suspect it was a scam and that they were looking for a bribe. Very scary! We would have appreciated more time at the Cradle for Humanity.

We are very sorry for that happened with the police man.
The vehicle registration was up date after checking on the system if not the police man could Le the car go. As you said he wanted a bribe that why he was looking for all excuses stamp, picture, or a raisons of your Visit (he was a triffic cop not an immigration police to ask about all of that.)
We are very sorry.
We did repot that to the traffic department after get a report from the guide.

I'm so happy that I booked this tour. From start to finish it was delightful. Albert of Pure Diamond was great. He was engaging, informative, professional and friendly. The Lesedi Cultural Village tour was insightful, fun and lunch was enjoyable. The Cradle of Humankind tour was educational and a wonderful experience. Try it and you will not be disappointed.

My husband and I booked a tour “Cradle of HumanKind” and “Wonder Cave” yesterday. We had “Albert” as our guide, he was very informative and patient with us. Picking us up @ our hotel 1pm, returning @ 7pm. Thru out our tour “Albert” explained the culture and history of South Africa. I had read the other reviews and we found them all accurate, about this tour guide. We flew in from the United States 2 days ago and this was our first tour here. Thank you “Albert” for making it so special. We have felt safe and welcomed here. Hoping to have you as our tour guide again.

Loved the picturesque drive through the rolling hills enjoying the view. Upon arrival enjoyed a wonderful tour of the museum and a ride back in time of civilization. On arrival to the village what a wonderful experience being greeted with native singing and dancing. The journey through the village explained the differences in the numerous cultures.

The attractions of the tour were all very nice and interesting. Our guide, Gabriel, was very helpful and shared a lot of information. Unfortunately the car we traveled was not good. Old, small, no airconditioner (it is very hot in January) and the worst, there was no seat belt for the people on the seats behind. The tour was a big trip through highways and this is a very insecurity way to travel. When returning, the car begins to make some weird noises and we were really afraid of it could not bring us back to the hotel.

We went on a private tour of Johannesburg and Pretoria with Albert. The first day was so incredible that we hired him for an additional day. We wanted him for a third day, but he was not available. Albert is attentive and professional, has an incredible knowledge of the history and politic scene of the country, flora, fauna, peoples and their culture and traditions. Every where we traveled, it was apparent that he was well-known and respected in his profession. It was such a privilege to have this man as our guide because we felt safe and well taken care of throughout our tours.

All of the stops were amazing. The transportation left much to be desired. They were over an hour late picking us up which cause the whole day to be behind and we missed half of the Ledisi tour. The coach was not air conditioned and every light was on and red for the van’s dashboard indicating serious issues with the integrity of the transportation. the tour coordinator tried to lie and say the Wonder Cave was flooded and closed when it was not. He tried to cut our tour short without a refund. We called the Wonder cave and found it to be open and made them complete our tour.

Lesidi Cultural Village is a fun, intresting experience to learn about different African tribes and their life style. As someone who did not grow up in Africa, I learned a lot. The presentations are entertaining and the dancing is fantastic.
Cradle of Humankind is another gem. This discovery and the museum have provided an update to the evolution of all of us and presented in an interesting way.

I really enjoyed watching daughters learn some of the African history and immerse themselves in the culture. Also, enjoyed the crudle of Human kind tour as it was very informational. Tour guide (Albert) was also very knowledgeable and answered any questions had along with the information and stories provided.

Cradle of mankind and Lesedi cultural village, are two unique places every body should visit once in Johannesburg.
I was lucky enough to take this tour with Pure Diamonds Tours (PDT), and they made my visit a unique experience!
