The driver who picked us up from our hotel was wonderful. He was conversational and gave us information about the city on our hour drive to the Lesedi Village. Unfortunately, once arriving at the village, the experience was not at all what we were anticipating. The entire experience is a staged reenactment and resembles what one might do on a school field trip. While some of the actors did a nice job, several seemed uninterested. Many of the activities of the day seemed like a money grab, where tips were being requested and we were being approached to purchase DVDs and CDs of the music and dancing. We were hoping for a more authentic experience while in Africa. If you are interested in the historical culture of the South African tribes, I would recommend a museum instead.

Guy was our tour guide and he did a very good job of setting us up for our visit on the ride to the site. We were impressed by the athleticism of the performers and their dedication.

I was able to practice solo drum session with a coach. The experience was extraordinary for me. Overall, the group session as too commercialized with pre-planned stage performances. I prefer the solo session which is more immersive and satisfying. I was able to come back to the hotel early as alternative arrangements were made due to a member of the group wants to do some more shopping. Thanks for the catering and planning the personalized course for customer's convenience.

I spent a great afternoon at the Lesedi Cultural Village. It’s a fascinating place and not to be missed if you’re visiting the Johannesburg area. Dinner was nice too, while the highlight was the dancing. My guide arrived on time and was very knowledgeable and pleasant.

Had an amazing experience at the Lesedi cultural tour. Learning about the five tribes was both informative and entertaining. The tour guides were wonderful, they gave insight into how the tribes lives (food, language, customs, etc.)

I traveled with my mom to the village, we were picked up by our friendly guide from Malawi and he kept us entertained the whole ride. It was a private tour with just the two of us, (about 30 minutes) it included buffet lunch with plenty of options and dessert after the tour experience. The day we went was also heritage day in south Africa so we also got to see traditional outfits from the locals as well as the representations from the tribes the staff wore. We talked with a lot of people who attended and they also have plenty of souvenirs to purchase before and after your experience. The drive there, the company, people, and buffet lunch was worth the price for us. Thanks again.
