We went to Swati house. She and her family was so kind and welcoming. We really enjoyed the experience. It is an accessible activity where you will learn how to cook indian meals and be immersed in a lovely indian family. I loved the massala tea, I will try to do it back at home. We went with our two children who find company with her children of same age. Our kids also tried to do their own chapati. We recommend this activity. Thank you for this moment Swati! I had an excellent cooking class with Swati!
This is how it went:
A few days ahead of the class, Swati contacted me and asked what dishes I’d like to cook. I could choose the ones I’ve always wanted to learn, which was great. Swati only cooks vegetarian dishes, which works well for me. Her home is located very centrally in pink city and I took a Tuk Tuk to get to her place. It was easy to find, because she shared her Google Maps location with me via What’s App. Upon arrival, Swati’s father-in-law picked me up and guided me to Swati’s home. When I arrived at her home, I received a bottle of water as refreshment and Swati and I had a really nice chat to get to know each other. Swati then guided me to her kitchen and showed me how to cook chai tea, which tasted delicious. After finishing the tea, we started cooking three different dishes. I picked a lentil dish (Dal), a curry with cauliflower and potato (Aloo Gobi) and a vegetable Biryani. Swati also made three different types of bread. Swati showed me some really good cooking tricks, and it was a great pleasure to cook myself and also observe her doing it., taking many pictures After all dishes were made, I got to enjoy the tasty meal, along with Swati’s daughter, who came from school after we started cooking.
All dishes tasted excellent! But I have to say that the Aloo Gobi was one of the best I’ve ever eaten.
I was initially concerned about whether the food will be safe (e.g. regarding hygiene), but when I saw Swati cooking, I had no concern. The kitchen was very clean and she always used purified water for cooking.
Since I was doing the cooking class by myself, and there was no one else attending the class, Swati made me feel very welcome and comfortable. Her English is excellent.
After I finished eating, Swati organized a Tuk Tuk for me, which took me back to the hotel. A couple of hours later what he shared all the recipes via WhatsApp.
I am very happy that I got to experience this class. Not only did I learn a lot about Indian cooking, but I loved this very authentic experience that other tourists might not experience.
Highly recommended!

Swati and her family were very welcoming - my class started off with making masala chai - hand grinding the ginger and spices followed by preparation of Daal Tadka, Gatta, Cumin rice and three types of roti! All explained in great detail and recipes provided at the end. If you have something specific in mind Swati will accommodate if vegetarian.
Highly recommend Swat’ s cooking experience.

The experience was fantastic. It's the way to experience the Indian cuisine in a way that you can replicate once at home. Probably the best time while in India!
Swati and the whole family are awesome, which makes it completely worth. Must do if in Jaipur!

We attended this cooking class whilst in Jaipur.
It was much more than a cooking class...it was a wonderful family who invited us into their home and treated us as part of the family. They presented us with Marigold Flower Necklaces which were beautiful. We helped with the cooking and found out lots of useful information about their Hindu religion and the local area. The families children joined in and complete Henna tattoos on the girls. The food was delicious, very authentic. They gave us gifts which were made by the family which we will take home and treasure! If you are going to Jaipur please support this lovely family by booking for their cooking class!

It was a wonderful and special experience. I was instantly welcomed into the family by my hosts Swati and mum Saroj. I had an amazing time cooking with all the chefs in the family. The food we made was delicious and we had fun making it too! I highly recommend it for an authentic experience in a homely setting.

I tried to find a good place, but I'm sorry, I can't think of one.
I know you have family, but when I explain it, other family members start talking in Hindi while looking at my phone, I can't help it because it's my home, but they keep coming back and forth from the kitchen, they suddenly start laughing out loud, your child is sitting on my luggage, they keep staring at me and I can't rest
I said I would also send the recipe on WhatsApp, but I was mostly alone and asked if I would do it on the way, but I refused because I was afraid to use a knife because my child came up to me suddenly. Just put coriander on it at the end, and it was almost over to watch
I was looking forward to Rajasthan's meal, but I kept being seen eating it after it was finished, and I hated eating it on the way, and it is very disappointing

Hi sorry we will try more better
Thank you
Great time spent with Swati and her family. Much more than a cooking class, it is a real moment of sharing. Swati contacted me the day before to ask if I had any dietary restrictions and for the organization to go to his home. Warm Welcoming, nice kitchen, very clean, Swati had prepared an apron to avoid staining me. They are a really nice and very caring family. Swati put me at ease from the beginning so that I felt good at home, we talked before we started cooking, she offered me several dishes so that I could choose according to my tastes (Swati adapts her recipes according to our intolerances or allergies, spicy or not spicy...). We made Chai tea. Then we prepared a cauliflower curry, with basmati rice, dhal and chapatis. Not to mention a dessert: halwa. Swati shares her passion for cooking by explaining to us the different spices, the different recipes step by step, and the variations according to the regions of India, she is really taking care of us. She answers our questions and shows us the right steps so that we can reproduce a delicious Indian meal at home. I enjoyed the tasting at the time. This is a real moment of sharing. Without hesitation I would return accompanied by my family to make them live this magnificent experience. If you are looking for a private cooking class (alone or in a group) that is above all a moment of sharing then go ahead and choose Swati. Little bonus Swati sent me the recipes step by step. Again thank you Swati for this wonderful shared moment and for your warm Welcoming.
