We had a blast!! Sally and Diego were fantastic guides. So knowledgeable and fun. You could tell they truly enjoy being out in nature and sharing the beauty of PR with visitors. The experience itself was so cool. Rappelling down an 80 foot waterfall is a thrill and the zip lines are super fun. Lunch at grandmas was the perfect yummy end.

We had a great time hiking, rappelling, and zip lining in El Yunque rainforest! Diego, Sally, and Sammy were incredibly helpful and patient. They made our adventure a great experience. Highly recommend for a fun, adventurous day!

Thank you so much for joining our tour!! Just a quick note.. this tour takes place near the Carite Forest, not el Yunque rainforest. Hopefully we'll see you again in the future!! Thanks again!

This experience was pushed from the start. They were trying to see how fast they could get the excursion over with. All it would have taken was a few breaks and all would have been fine. When I went back to Grandma's house I was told this guy arrived to get experience over fast. We arrived back 2 hours ahead of schedule. If we had used one of those hours for breaks I could have completed the excursion. If you are not in great shape do not attempt this excursion, they don't work with you it's all fast ahead or nothing. Total waste of $195.00

When we decide to stop someone and take them back to base camp (Grandma's house) it's because we truly believe that they are truly endangering themselves and by default the crew. We have been doing this tour for almost 20 years and have taken participants of all shapes and sizes. Obviously you have to be in some sort of good physical condition to participate. It is not for everyone. On this specific day we were at the pace of all our participants, which by the way were a mixed group in terms of age and physical fitness. As per our conversation on the trail when you decided to stop, we told you that we recommended that you return to base camp and you agreed (because you were truly tired and over your head). This review is very undeserved as we do try to work and accommodate everyone.

Loved this experience, guide was friendly, knowledgeable and fun!! It was a challenging hike to the waterfall and a challenging and exciting rappel down the waterfall. Grandmas food was very good! Overall, great expedience!!!

We would love to have you back! See you again someday!!

This was an amazing experience! The hike up to the waterfall and the zip lines was a very advanced hike. Please beware, wear appropriate shoes, be prepared to hike through water, mud and up steep hills. A lot more challenging than I expected lol. However, I had a great time and would definitely do it again. 100% worth it if you love thrill, nature, and adventure!

A must do ALL IN ONE experience! Hiking, repelling off an amazing waterfall, zip lining, and wonderful food! Super fun. Expect to get a little dirty , wet, and it’s a part of the experience definitely a good time. The lunch at the end made by abuela was delicious as well as the incredible dessert. Hurry up and book!

This excursion is a must if you’re visiting Puerto Rico. It consisted of a group hike through the rainforest, waterfall, rappelling, zip lining, and a delicious lunch at the end.

Diego, Sally and Sammy were awesome tour guides! The waterfall reppelling was an experience we will always remember. The entire group had a blast. At the end of the day 'Grandma' even served us a homemade Puerto Rican lunch. Very professionally run.

We´re always happy to share our beautiful island with you all!!! Please come back and join us again in the future!

The best experience I had in PR as a solo traveler. The guides were amazing and even went out of their way to make sure you get pictures & videos to remember the experience. I did an El Yunque tour the day before and it was nothing compared to this. The hike was incredible & so we’re the views. I can’t wait to bring my sister next time.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
We´ll be more than happy to have you and your sister back on the tour!! See you soon!!

Saely, Diego, and Javier were knowledgeable and capable guides. This group is a local family in Caguas who operates an amazing and exciting tour through their beautiful private land. Complete with a home cooked meal from abuela, this experience is worth your time and money! The hiking, rappelling, and zip lining were moderately challenging, but fine for a family to participate.

The best experience we had in Puerto Rico. We had a family of 6. The hike was more challenging that we expected, however totally worth it for the waterfall and Zipline. The lunch was delicious. The guides were so fantastic to work with.

This was an amazing experience and it felt like a real personal one as well. Travelling alone, the guides made every effort to make me feel included and ensure that I got great photos of the experience too. It had everything and more - hiking, scrambling, abseiling, zip wires and Grandmas lunch at the end of it - delicious home cooked food. Highly recommend

the hike is moderately rigorous, not crazy though. the tour guides were super friendly and helpful. the rappelling did put pressure on my back though and I'm paying the price for it now. Worth it though. Very fun and adventurous.

This zip line tour is the best experience we’ve had for our entire Puerto Rico trip! It has all the adventurous elements you could possibly ask for. Forget about all the other forest tour, seriously, this is the one. Go ahead and book it, you won’t be disappointed.

This was an amazing experience! It wasn’t touristy like other excursions - it was small and personal. As long as you are in shape, this is a BLAST! Started with climbing up on ground + up small waterfalls. Moved into rappelling down, going zip lining (that were all built by hiking materials up and put together by hand). And then we trekked the remaining portion down. Highly recommend if you enjoy adventure!!!

This was such a unique experience and so different than what we were seeing from other groups on Viator. Neither of us had rappelled before and the guides did an incredible job making sure we were comfortable and knew what to do. We would do this again in a heartbeat!

We have done this excursion twice now and it is an absolutely unforgettable and unique experience unlike any other. This time we had fantastic guides (shout out to Patricia, Sally, and Sammy) who helped us safely navigate the day while sharing their knowledge about the flora and fauna as well as Puerto Rican history and culture. Incredible people! And the surroundings are breathtaking capped off by repelling down through a stunning waterfall. Once in a lifetime experience! We will do this on every visit to Puerto Rico!

This was a beautifully curated experience that was challenging and made easy. The folks running the tour are amazing and we got a feel of the local culture. It was an amazing adventure and I highly recommend it.

We had such an amazing experience and it was so much fun. We enjoyed ourselves. The team was so professional and kind, and helped us and guided us every step of the way and they have a beautiful dog named Bruno that helped us as well.

BE STRONG ENOUGH TO DO THIS OR BE LEFT BEHIND! I’m not saying it’s a bad experience IF you are able to go. The first part is a moderately fast paced walk up a very steep road for about a steady 15 minutes, which the guides call your “endurance test.” If you keep up, you can go. If not, you go back to “Grandma’s house” aka you wait on a covered porch with no fan or wifi for 3 hours. (Grandma was lovely and provided water, sympathy, and fried potatoes. She was so kind). My son passed the test, i was too slow. I am 59, in good shape, walk or elliptical 3 miles with no problem. I have been on many other adventure tours. This is for you to know in case, like me, you overestimate yourself). This is not for your average older person. If you pass the “endurance test” be prepared to continue uphill through a steam, lift your body up using ropes, and climb rocks. If you know you can do this, great, go! If you are not sure, choose another tour. It gets two stars, one for me, five for my son, minus one for refusing a refund.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
We are truly sorry that you were unable to complete the tour. It is stated on our website and on Viator / Trip Advisor that you have to be in good physical condition to participate on this tour. There is a clear description of the activities and also pictures that go along with them. There are also, hundreds of reviews of other participant's experiences describing the tour in detail. We take "older folks" all the time. So this has nothing to do with age.
We also did not receive any refund requests from your part. If you would like to discuss further please send a private message. Thank you!

It was one of the best tour we have done. It’s definitely adventurous and requires you to be in good shape but super safe because the guides were helpful and keen on safety. Patricia and her guides are one of the most helpful and fun tour guides I came across.
Emily_S, Jul 2025
We had an amazing time on the zipline and waterfall rappelling adventure. Our main tour guide, Sally, was fantastic, and Francisco, our driver and secondary guide, kept the experience lively and engaging. The third guide (whose name I sadly can't recall) was also great.
This adventure is definitely for those in good health with some hiking experience, as the terrain is pretty challenging. The hike is more difficult than expected, so be sure to wear closed-toed shoes with solid traction. The winding mountain roads could also be tough on people who get motion sickness, so keep that in mind.
The views were breathtaking, and the activity was a perfect way to kick off our trip. We also loved having Bruno the dog adventure with us! After the adventure, we were treated to a delicious meal made by Abuela, which was a real highlight.
Side note: sunscreen isn’t really needed here, and bug spray is DISCOURAGED to help protect the ecosystem. I’d highly recommend this excursion to anyone who loves a good challenge, adventure, and nature!

If I could give this trip a 10, I would!! So much fun, but you will get very wet and your shoes very muddy, as advertised. Francisco, Sammy, and Sally are excellent guides and give detailed instructions. This one checked all my childhood boxes!! Do not miss this adventure in Puerto Rico!!!
Savanna_P, May 2025
What an incredible experience!! Everything was amazing from hiking across rivers, rappelling down a waterfall, zip lining through the rainforest. Diego, Francisco, and Sammy were friendly and made sure you felt safe the whole time. The abuelas even cooked lunch for us after the trip. I would absolutely do again! Make sure to bring a small waterproof backpack and tennis shoes you’re okay getting dirty!
Jahanvi_S, May 2025
This an absolute must when you visit - Francisco and Diego were such great guides, super well informed and helpful. The rapelling was an amazing experience
Vinaykumar_D, May 2025
This is an absolute must-do in Puerto Rico! Plan your trip around it (they’re closed Sundays and Mondays). It was my first time rappelling—with zero experience—and it instantly became a bucket list-worthy adventure.
From hiking through rivers to rappelling down an 80-foot waterfall, the experience is exactly as described and truly unforgettable. The guides—Sammy, Patricia, and Diego—were exceptional. They ensured everyone felt safe, moved at their own pace, and had fun while tackling every part of the journey.
If you’re even thinking about it—just book it. You won’t regret it.

Great guides and hosts. I had some specific questions and arrangements. They responded right away. Very aware of safety. Truly local host. Fairly vigorous.
Ines_B, Apr 2025
Wow our experience was amazing. The repelling was scary at first but as you go down, it becomes more fun and exciting. My friends had a good time as well. The zip lining portion was great and it was a set of 3 different zip line. The rainforest was overall beautiful. I definitely recommend it.
