I enjoyed this tour. The Tour Guide was fun, funny and most importantly he had an indepth knowledge of Puerto Rican history in general and in specific about the Rain Forrest. His enthusiasm was contiguous. Accordingly, most of us asked a lot of questions and took a lot of pictures.
One of the guest had some issues on one of the trails. Luckily, a couple of nurses were on the trip. Still the patience and compassion shown by the Tour Guide Team was heartwarming. The Driver had to fill in for a short time for the Guide and he did so seamlessly. He too had a serious command of the history of Puerto Rico and that of the rainforest. I am glad I selected this tour and would ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND it to friends and family.

Easy going tour, you can walk some easy trails, or not, it's totally your choice. Our tour guide Roberto was excellent, very informative and helpful.
Excellent tour. The tour guide Jorge was awesome. He was a great historian. If you want someone who knows their stuff he is the guy. Well worth the money. My wife and I really enjoyed our experience to the rainforest. We hit all of the spots we wanted to see. The driver, I'm sorry I forgot his name, was a cautious driver. I never felt unsafe . Overall this experience was a 10/10.
They cancel there tour and you can't get ahold of them. So if you want i tour that doesn't happen this is for you.
Amazing excursion to four major parts of the forest. Jorge was a brilliant tour guide. I learned a ton about the history of the island, the history of the forest, and a lot more. Ample time at every stop to do what you want to do.
The tour has two pick up stops, one in old San Juan and one in Rio Grande which was convenient for me being I was staying in Luqillo.
The first stop of the tour is at the visitor center which is breathtaking. Then there's a short walk through parts of the forest there which is all on concrete.
The next stop is baño grande. A man made pool in the park. Again just stunning scenery at the location and even on the drive there.
The next stop was Yokahu Tower. Worth the walk up the tower to get panoramic views of the forest. I use a cane due to disability and was still able to climb up and down the tower.
The last stop was La Coca falls. Beautiful waterfall and you can climb near the center for pictures.
Overall this was an amazing experience and a great tour of the forest for someone with a disability. Highly recommend this tour to anyone, but especially to people with mobility issues that want to enjoy the forest.
This is a wonderful tour provided by Patria Tours for those who have disabilities related to mobility. They can still visit the main attractions of the rainforest and those who accompany them have opportunities to hike a bit. Our driver/guide Jorge was so knowledgeable about history of Puerto Rico, flora and fauna of the rainforest and culture of his country making this experience even more memorable. He was also very attentive and kind to everyone and especially those with disabilities. Five stars for Jorge!!!
Jorgé was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide. The van was clean and comfortable! Not much walking, mostly on and off the bus but hits all of the main spots!
It was great to have the ability to see parts of the rainforest even with mobility issues. Loved it and enjoyed the information our guide had.
As a person in a wheelchair, I am offered very little excursions. This trip to El Yunque rainforest was an excellent trip. The tour guide was very helpful with access on and off the bus, even when the mechanism malfunctioned, he manually cranked it so that I was able to get on and off the bus, he was very patient and pleasant. He was also very. knowledgeable about the rainforest. This was my second time using Viator and they did not disappoint me.
Jorge was an amazing guide. He was sensitive to the varying ages and abilities without making anyone feel left out. His knowledge of the Rain Forest was impressive.
The guide tour and driver were great. So informative and taking time to explain the intricacies of the Rainforest & Puerto Rican history and culture.
Great experience, easy, short hikes and optional if you can’t do them. Great communication with the your guide for pick up. And Adrian was great and knowledgeable about all things
This tour covered everything we wanted to experience in El Yunque. Connecting with our guide was convenient and seamless. Jorge was the best guide!
Very nice tour guide and he made the visit fun and interesting beyond belief. The tour covered most of the areas of the forest we were interested to see.
Excellent outdoor experience for all ages. Jorge was very knowledgeable of San Juan and Rainforest. Relaxing tour.
Jorge was wonderful!! Very knowledgeable and friendly! Great tour guide. Such a kind heart and you could see the passion he has for sharing his homeland. The tour was perfect for us as first time visitors. I would love to come back and see another part of the rain forest. Just beautiful.
Very interesting tour and great guide. Not enough time at the visitors’ center to both buy food and see the film. We would have brought lunch with us if we had known to do so.
The tour guide was great. He knew his stuff. Had lots of information and was attentive, knowledgeable and professional. He guided us through the welcome center nicely. I had a problem with the pickup and drop off. Neither of which was the guides fault. I thought we would be picked up at our hotel which was my mistake. However, the spot where we were picked up/dropped off seemed to me was off the beaten trail. A more populated area would have been better.
We really enjoyed our bus trip to El Yunque rainforest with tour guide, Jorge. Hotel pickup with prompt with good communication. Ride very pleasant with lots of added details. The rainforest was beautiful and this half day trip is designed for travelers looking for a low pressure way to see nature. Hike was short and easy and the climb to the top of the lookout tower was fun. Highly recommended!
Jorge is very friendly, helpful and most of all knowledgeable! He was accommodating for all who were in our group. Conversation with him was easy and he knows so much about the fauna given his background in botany and biology. We were able to see a good portion of El Yunque National Park without too much physical effort and someone else did the driving!
Our guide was knowledgeable and invested in the places we visited. He was attentive to the needs of the tour group and very open to sharing his knowledge both to the group and individually.

Adrian and Jorge were fantastic! Not only were we provided with some history regarding the colonization of Puerto Rico over the years, we were provided with an overview and history of the rainforest as well. Having someone else navigate the steep and narrow roads while getting to see the beauty El Yunque has to offer was well worth it.
Jorge was an excellent guide. He taught us about Puerto Rico on the drive to the rainforest, took us on a great hike and showed us many different plants and birds in the rainforest. He was very friendly, accommodating and knew a lot about the island. It was a perfect hike and day trip for our group which included my 74 year old mom.
When I signed up for this side trip they asked for arrival time. I made it clear that my ship did not arrive until 10 am but they ignored my input and expected us at 8:30 when we were still on the way there. I did not get to experience this excursions.
Jorge did a nice job. You could tell he enjoys his job and has a vast knowledge about Puerto Rico! I do wish we would have had the original tour we signed up for that included the food truck stop. I didn’t understand the notice we received about the tour. In fact the message did not show up until we arrived here in San Juan! The click through didn’t work until that point. It was nice to see the rain forest!
A great way to see some El Junque highlights, take a couple easy to moderate level short hikes, and includes an optional climb of 90 steps up a tall watchtower for an incredible view. Would have liked more time and longer hikes. Guide was friendly and knowledgeable.
Jorge was our guide and he was fantastic. Very knowledgeable! We enjoyed all the stops on the tour and would recommend.
Great way to see the rainforest for the not so adventurous. Jorge was an excellent tour guide and did an amazing job! Highly recommend!!!
Very easy excursion. Good for older folks and anyone with limited walking ability. Not for people looking for adventure but it is a great tour for the target customer.
Very informative and well planned.
Guide was professional and impressive.
Easier way to see El Yunque.
