1. Our Tours are Private. This tour requires a minimum of 3 people per booking, maximum 7.
2. A tour reminder alert will be sent to you a few days before your tour. It will be through any of the following: Viator message, Email, WhatsApp or iMessage from +44 7481 590163.
3. We offer pick-up and drop-off within Inverness or enroute.

4. Wear appropriate, comfortable clothing. Waterproof hiking shoes and jackets are highly recommended. Carry-ons/Backpacks are welcome but Luggage space is limited.
5. You can bring lunch or snacks in case we miss restaurants/cafes lunchtime schedule.
6. Minors, Seniors and People with Special Needs must always be accompanied by their respective guardians.
7. We kindly ask that all participants observe mindful public awareness, respect the environment, wildlife and guidelines. Please be conscious about carbon footprint during the tour.
8. For everyone's safety, comfort and well-being, we cannot accommodate the following: i. Children under 5 years old ii. Wheelchair/mobility assistance iii. Anyone with high risk health conditions (i.e expecting a baby, feeling unwell or exhibiting contagious symptoms like cough, sneezing, colds or runny nose). Please do not attempt to join our tour if any one in your group is unwell, recovering or still infectious - your group will be refused service without a refund. We can alternatively offer you another date within the tour season (depending on availability) iv. Any untoward behaviour in general that presents a danger to themselves or others will not be tolerated.
9. We will not to be held liable for any accidents, personal injury, damage or loss of property, missed travel schedules or any appointments thereafter.
10. Photos and videos taken during our tours may be used for promotional purposes.
If you have any medical condition, don't forget to bring your prescribed medication or take them before your tour starts. Bring a bug spray if you are prone to insect bites during summer time, meds for motion sickness, etc. Your health, comfort and well-being will ultimately be up to you.

We had the pleasure of touring the Scottish Highlands and the Isle of Skye with John, and it was nothing short of unforgettable. While the breathtaking scenery speaks for itself, it was John who truly made the experience extraordinary. Dressed in traditional Highland kilt and radiating warm Highland hospitality, he gave us a fully immersive cultural journey that felt both personal and authentic. The landscapes we passed through were indescribable—photos simply can’t capture the raw beauty and dramatic history etched into every glen and mountain. John brought centuries of stories to life, weaving together tales of ancient clans, fierce battles, and enduring legends that gave the terrain a haunting and mesmerizing depth. Our journey out to the Isle of Skye took us through stunning highland passes and out to The Quiraing, where the landscape feels like something out of a dream. This was more than just a tour—it was an experience we’ll be talking about for years. We’ll absolutely be back. Five stars without hesitation. Slàinte mhath!

The best way to tour the Isle of Skye!

11/10 experience with John on our Isle of Skye tour. This is definitely the way to go if you’re wanting to see Isle of Skye, especially as a day trip from Inverness. We were able to customize our day & see everything we wanted to see & hike. 100% worth it not to have to worry about driving. John knew all the best places to stop, & the best places for the most beautiful & memorable photos. The car was clean & comfortable. John was kind, considerate, & hilarious; we were laughing the entire time! John is from the highlands and was a wealth of knowledge; a huge plus because we love history! My mom, aunt & I will remember this day with wonderful memories! Thank you so much!

JOHN was one of the most memorable parts of this experience.. of course the views and entire day as a whole was fantastic but I truly don’t think if we were on a larger group tour or even a “small group” tour that we would have enjoyed it nearly as much. John made this tour so, so much fun and catered everything to what we were interested in — if we didn’t want to spend as much time at one place, then we had extra time at another. I hope to get back to Scotland someday soon to do more tours with John :)

Wow! What an amazing adventure with one of the absolute best guides! John is a fantastic guide and storyteller….or should I say storyteller and guide! His love and pride of all things Highlands is palpable. Our entire family had the best day on the Isle of Skye trip. I’ve never felt more Scottish 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. He made my mother in law feel so special even though she wasn’t able to participate in some of the more active parts of the trip. An extra special thank you for stopping at the final resting place of Alexander McQueen. We’d book another trip with John and Teri for sure!

John was an excellent tour guide. He had plenty of local knowledge to keep the entire length of the tour fun and interesting! We loved the stop in Portree for lunch and had a fun time walking through the various shops. We never felt rushed through anything and John made us feel comfortable with his fun personality and wonderful humor. I would absolutely recommend doing a tour with him. You will not be disappointed!

We had a great experience on the day tour to isle of Skye with John. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area and helped us adapt our schedule for the changing weather and to avoid crowds. He is warm, very kind, and a great guide. He is also an excellent driver - I was glad that we did not have to try to manage the narrow roads in a rental car like other visitors. Highly recommend!

From start to finish, John had us laughing and learning the whole way (with plenty of whiskey sampling to add to the mix). We were guided through the history of the area as well as advised on the best photo spots and shops with the best deals during the stops. The ride was long but comfortable with plenty of stops for bathroom breaks and leg stretching. If you are looking for a tour with breathe taking views guided by a real Scottish highlander, we highly recommend going with John.

Even after leaving the second of our kilt-wearing drivers, we continued relying on Viator recommendations to optimize our Scotland stay. Our first driver, from Aye Tours, entertained us with history and comedy, as well as a bonus scotch sampling adventure while showing us Skye and surrounding sites. The second, from Scotland’s Highland Tours, masterminded a route enabling us to top 2 Munros during a trip through the Cairngorms, fitting in other stops unique to Scotland. Our last led us into a magical Glen. Well done🤓

Loved John. The Hubs’s mom was born and raised in Scotland so he had lots to talk about and John was so easy to converse with; gave wonderful insight and filled in gaps that completed puzzles. The tour had the right mixture of his guidance and presence along with exploring time on our own. A truly lovely day and we can’t say enough about him. He asked us in the beginning if either one of us got motion sickness and we both said no. John was a master at a smooth ride but the roads are like ribbon and we could’ve used a Dramamine before we got started. But that one little blip has nothing at all to do with John. 10/10. Highly recommend. Aye, John. We hope you make it to Chicago!

I knew I wanted to go to Isle if Sky when visiting Scotland, but never did I think I would have this much fun doing it! John is an amazing guide with a million stories and exciting ways of sharing the history of the land. The drive is beautiful - the views are 24/7 and AMAZING! He knows the best spots around the island and on the way up. I couldn’t recommend anything more. This is a day my mother and I will never forget! Beautiful, adventurous , informative, and a BLAST!

This is already a great itinerary for the Isle of Skye; but add in a personable friendly tour guide and the flexibility of picking what you want to spend time on, and you get the perfect day! The Scottish landscape doesn’t even seem real! John also shares some great history facts that bring the hills around you to life!

The best tour EVER

It's hard to put into words what a great experience this tour was. John was the kindest, most fun, personable, knowledgable, funny guide anyone could ask for. The tour was around 12 hours, and John had stories and facts of everything Scotland the entire time (thanks to him I'm now a football fan!), each more interesting than the last. As for the stops along the way... WOW. I have never seen more beautiful sites in my life and consider myself a reasonably well-traveled person. The day started with crazy rain and that couldn't take away from the beauty of it all (and a little bit of whisky helped warm us up), and then somehow it stopped and we got some blue skies and even more spectacular views. I could go on for days about this experience, but truly just do yourself a favor and book this tour on your visit to Scotland. Thank you John for truly the most epic day ever - Matt and I will be talking about it for years to come. It might have even been better than our wedding day! ;-)
