Great all day trip to Dubronin and many small tastes of Scotland

ira_k, Aug 2025
Great full day tour from invergordon to see sunroom castle, a very good falconry demonstration, and many tasty bits of Scotland along the way. Great and knowledgeable guide

Inverness by Sarah.

Sarah was amazing and so knowledgeable. Amazing tour, the highlight of our Scottland experience. Sarah showed us everything we asked for and we learned so much history

A very good tour

Alistair is an excellent tour guide. He is very knowledgable and accommodating. The tour included scenic view points, visit to a salmon leap and the enchanting Dunrobin Castle and Gardens which were beautiful. We rounded off with a visit to Dornoch and a distillery. A lovely day

Amazing Invergordon experience

Gary_W, Aug 2024
Richie was great! We were able to see a lot of the beauty of the country before visiting the Castle. He was very personable and knowledgeable that it made the trip a perfect experience.

Great excursion!

Svetlana_R, Jul 2024
We had a wonderful guide who told us a lot about Scotland. Also very impressive was the castle and the falcon show.

So Much Better Than A Cruise Line Tour

Paul_O, Jul 2024
We came to Invergordon on a cruise ship and their tours were sold out. Which was lucky for us - we got a fantastic tour with the three of us and two others in a 7 passenger mini-van with a guide who was Scottish and obviously loved sharing his country with people like us. He showed us things as we were driving back roads a large tour bus couldn't have taken, and even customized the tour a bit based on what we wanted to see. His stories of Dunrobin Castle, the HIghland Clearings, and how things worked politically way back when were really enlightening even though some were sad. The different lives the nobility had versus what the regular people had was certainly food for thought. All in all, an outstanding tour - Alastair was remarkable. When we got back to the ship and compared our tour to what people had who signed with the cruise line, even they agreed we had the better tour, and for less money, too.

A great small group tour

Brett_S, Jul 2024
We loved this tour as it was a very small personal group and it was a little flexible in being that we were able to stop to check out extra things along the way. Our guide was very knowledgeable also.

Very good Tour, Jonny is a super diver and guide. Perfect Land Rover and a lot of insider Tipps. Super.

A very charming and worthwhile excursion - highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our tour with Alistair - he's very knowledgeable, very well-spoken and easy to get along with (and also, very funny). This part of Scotland is gorgeous and the sights and sounds kind of sold themselves but, if anyone were to ask me what my favourite parts were, my answer would be the gardens at Dunrobin and the very story-book quality of the little town of Dornoch where we stopped for lunch. This was a sort of primer for us on the charms of Scotland and we were definitely sold! We'll be back, for sure!

Our very favorite tour on our British Isle tour

Geneva_P, Oct 2023
Beautiful Castle and garden. Great tour guide. Didn't receive message for later departure time.We were picked up later than expected.

One day in Invergordon

Ginger_B, Sep 2023
Our day with Allistar was outstanding. His knowledge of the region and his desire to deliver a great experience for us prevailed through the 7 hours we were together. The castle and gardens were quite beautiful. The falconry exhibit was a highlight. We were given lunch options and subsequently chose a delightful cafe that served a sumptuous lunch. So glad we took this trip. You will not be disappointed in this company and their services.

A wonderful day!

MarieHelene_B, Jul 2023
We had a wonderful day and Alistair, our guide, went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our day. Merci!!!

Nice but expensive

Terry_C, Jul 2023
It was a nice trip. A visit to an interesting castle and a very pretty village. A bit of Scottish banter along the way. My only gripe is the price £125 each for a coach trip. This may be the going rate but it is still a bit steep.

Invergordon tour with George

Steve_C, Jul 2023
We loved our tour with George! His stories were the perfect addition to the fabulous sights we visited. Thanks for a great day, George!

debra_m, Jul 2023
Our guide, Donald, was so knowledgeable and we were fascinated by his stories and all the history he related. He was very accommodating during the driving parts of the day, stopping to give us a better look at times and answering our many questions. The pace of the day and all that we were able to see was just perfect.

Great location to visit as well as a beautiful drive in the country.

David_D, Jul 2023
The exterior of the castle was breathtaking and the gardens beautiful. I would recommend being there for once a day Falconry demonstration. Driver was very nice but I so wish he would have talked more ( and louder) during the drive and given us a little more commentary.

Too many fillers on the trip!

Martalina_P, Jun 2023
Both catles were beautiful and also the sceneries. The driver was also great but there were totally unnecessary fillers like seen the 🦭 from far away, passing by the golf course and a beach/movil home site instead of using that time to go to Inverness and at least see the lake we're the supposed loch ness creature lives and surrounding areas!

Response from Host, Jun 2023

HI Martalina Pumariega, I'm happy you enjoyed the Castles, Views and the 'Driver' was great but I'm a bit disappointed that you expected us to take you on 2 Tours... Loch Ness being 70 miles away from the Tour you booked. Having siad that we look forward to taking you on a Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle tour when you return to the Highlands.

Great knowledgeable flexible guide!

Terry_K, Jun 2023
Alistair was so knowledgeable and accommodating on this tour. He made sure we spent the most time on those things of most interest to us. Dunrobin gardens were spectacular! Loved the waterfall we stopped at and Dornoch.

Variety in the Highlands: Castles to Whisky!

Jan_M, Jun 2023
Alastair Kennedy was a delightful guide/driver for this tour that included one of the most beautiful castles and gardens, along with driving around the Highlands and a stop for lunch in Dornoch. It helped probably that the day was perfect, but I found this one of the best tours we’ve done. Alastair was also extremely helpful to me considering I use a cane…he was always aware of where his passengers were and what help they might need. He’s also an excellent driver who taught us ( or tried to) a lot of Scottish history. I’d highly recommend this tour for the variety of experiences.

Unforgettable Journey through the Hidden Treasures of the Highlands with George as our Guide!

Franz_W, Jun 2023
I had the incredible pleasure of taking the Invergordon Cruise excursion to Dunrobin Castle, Dornoch, and more with George from GoHighlands, and I can highly recommend this tour! It was an absolutely unforgettable experience where I got to witness Scotland's breathtaking landscapes and fascinating history up close. George, our guide in traditional kilt, was extremely knowledgeable and could transport us into the captivating world of the Highlands with vivid stories and anecdotes. His enthusiasm for the region was contagious, and he made sure we could fully enjoy every moment of our journey. Another highlight was the visit to a whisky distillery, where George introduced us to the art of crafting Scotland's national drink. His expertise in the whisky-making process was impressive, and he patiently answered all our questions. Of course, we also had the pleasure of sampling the delicious whisky. Undoubtedly, the pinnacle of the tour was the visit to the impressive Dunrobin Castle, which seemed straight out of a fairy tale. George guided us through the magnificent rooms, gardens, and the fascinating falconry. His passion for the castle's history and the surrounding landscape was palpable and made the visit an unforgettable experience. The entire tour was educational, action-packed, and perfectly organized down to the smallest detail, thanks to George's excellent guidance. I felt safe and well taken care of throughout the journey. Easter Ross and Sutherland truly offer the best scenery one can imagine, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to experience it on this tour. If you're seeking an unforgettable insight into the history and beauty of Scotland, then this tour with George as your guide is the perfect choice for you. Thank you George!!!!

Fantastic Operator & Tour

Kimberly_B, May 2023
Go Highlands was the perfect operator! Our guide Alastair was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating to our needs. We had a fantastic time seeing the beautiful Highlands and learning about the country. I cannot day enough about the Go Highlands operators/owners George & Alastair. Our cruse ship was diverted to Invergordon due to weather at our scheduled port. It was late afternoon when found out and scrambled to find a tour. George answered immediately and we were all set! Thank you for showing us your beautiful country….we will be back and absolutely book with Go Highlands!

Great small tour

Deb_P, May 2023
The falcon expense at Dun Robbin was great. Richie took great care of us. Loved spying a hairy cow on the drive

Wonderful tour to Dunrobin Castle!

Paula_B, Sep 2022
Just a wonderful tour with our guide,Alistaire, to Dunrobin Castle. Changed a few things to see more and spend time where we wanted. A wealth of information was our guide, with a few short stops to make the tour unique and memorable. Don't hesitate, book with GoHIghlands if you are in the area.

Highly recommend Alastair and Robert of Highland Explorer

Stephen_S, Sep 2022
the dunrobin experience was not a good idea during the funeral of the Queen and Alastair took us in a delightful, customized tour of Nairn, including Cawdor Castle, Culloden Battlefield and a whiskey tasting! comfortable new minibus, perfect for sightseeing. Knowledgeable, accommodating, fun guide.
