The medieval armor for horses and humans was AMAZING! The renaissance hall and the other museum collections here were also well worth the visit. This museum was much better than I expected, truely a high quality museum and I’m so glad we made the visit.

Lots of armor and weapons. Many rooms with just portraits. The grounds outside the buildings were nice to sit .

1/2 of the building is closed. The upper castle is unavailable. The lower case is very nice. There was almost no one there.

Not just a castle tour....quite a museum too!

Perfect way to start a tour of Innsbruck. This self guided tour is inexpensive and super informative. Collections from the very FIRST museum ever started in the world! We went on a weekday and had the entire castle and museum to ourselves. One word of caution is that when you leave the castle (which is above and overlooking the city) the city bus is really the only option and you must get a ticket to ride in the city (nowhere near the castle!). The bus driver was really nice and let us ride back to the city without a ticket. We repaid the local people with Karma in various ways for the wonderful treatment that they showed us tourists.

Is a good palace with an stunning spanish hall. However the exhibit is not that extent and the price a bit high I believe. Is good if you like castles like me.

The first portion of the experience is good because it has centuries-old armories and the famous Spanish Hall. The castle itself is beautiful, but I expected it to be furnished so we could see what it looked like at that time. Instead we found floor after floor after floor of paintings. That part didn't quite meet our expectation.

Non avevo mai visto armature per bambini. Piacevole sorpresa. Non sapevo che avrei trovato il Principe che ha ispirato la " Bella e la Bestia ". Mi sarebbe piaciuto vedere anche i piani superiori, magari la prossima volta. Grazie.
