Disappointing and Falsely Advertised

I cannot fault the sites they were absolutely breathtaking however the tour itself was very disappointing. They arrived very late for pickup to start - not fun with a 4:30am planned meet. whilst I asked and paid for a tour in English, it turns out the entire tour was in Romanian/ Polish which was a shame as I learnt nothing on the day about the sites we were seeing. I would not recommend this to anyone as everything is a massive upsell and a solo female traveller it was exhausting.

If you have limited time this is a half decent whistle stop tour of Luxor. However the balance of timings was all off. We spent longer in the alabaster factory than in the tombs - which is just wrong. Also Banana Island is a con. It’s a dirty place with some monkeys in a small cage, one being dragged around on a lead by a young child and an aligator stuck in a cage that resembled a well. Definitely not worth the additional £88 we paid as a family. It didn’t seem like it was an optional thing. But if it was I’d defo say AVOID. The time we spent in this place could be spent going to Luxor Temple or just longer at the main attractions

Inexplicably I was the only English speaking person in the bus with other visitors from Romania probably. One lady expressed her dissent always when our guide provided me comments in English about a expozition. Also there was massive and aggressive harassment from local sellers when we were about to see Luxor's monuments.

Request all costs upfront as there will be excessive additional charges to view everything, admission to tombs and history is essential to experience tour properly and you will be charged for anything possible even toilet paper. Toyr guide was informative

We(our 4 member family) were the only English speaking members of the group. Main group were Polish. In the tour bus there was only Polish tour guide, but in Luxor an English tour guide was waiting for us. Mohammed was absolutely amazing! Very knowledgeable, polite, funny! He made our day so memorable! We learnt many things and had the rear chance to see the sites not too crowded, especially the Karnak temple, where we came early in the morning, before all the groups. The restaurant for the lunch was good. We liked the trip to Banana island too, nevertheless that it was on additional cost.

Marvellous day out in Louxor! Our guide Mohammed is passionate about his job and will answer all your questions, thank you Ramses ,-)The day is full on and you will see many breathtaking sights. We had to pay £10 extra for a Nile cruise which was worth it! The only issue is the compulsory stop to an Alabaster shop that took far too long as we wished we had spent more time in Karnak! Apart from that a great trip! Thanks Mohammed and the team!

The price was reasonable.the transfer man picked me up from the hotel, the bus was big and comfortable with air condition and toilet,we drove to Luxor.our first stop in Luxor was Karnak temple where we met our guide Hazem Hassan,he speaks English fluently,he gave us a lot of information about ancient Egypt.then we crossed the Nile on a motor boat to the restaurant.it was a good restaurant with Nile view.after lunch we went to the valley of the kings and the temple of queen Hatshepsout,nearby we visited the Alabaster factory,where I bought a nice cat made from alabaster,we stopped in front of the colossal statues of Memnon where I did nice photos. Then I paid for the optional trip to the banana village by the boat.it was a great experience on the Nile.then the bus took us back to Hurghada. Thank you very much

I was in Egypt for 10 days and visited cairo,hurghada and Luxor. But definitely luxor was the best,our representative mohamed picked us up from our hotel at 4:30 am then we moved towards luxor.the bus was so comfortable.we arrived to luxor around 9 am and started our tour to karnak temple which was so inspiring for me.we moved then and had delicious lunch in local restaurant,we crossed to the west bank and visited the valley of the kings and hatshepsut temple,tombs there was amazing.can not forget our guide heba she was amazing.entrance fees was not included.we took motor boat as optional tour with additional cost and we did enjoy it.for me luxor was the best in Egypt

The Positive: - The Egyptian historical sites are amazing and definitely worth visiting. - Our tour guide Mohammed was very knowledgeable on all the places we visited. - Tour guide did his best to give a lot of information, was friendly and relaxed. The room for improvement - You feel like a walking ATM all day long, everyone wants your money...and constantly asks for it. - Even the tour guide tries to constantly 'upsell' you additions to the tour or make you visit other things not mentioned in the program (alabaster shop) and it's done in kind of a slick way (e.g. better taking the boat, 12 euros extra because crossing the river by fan will take more than an hour extra). Luxor seems like one big affiliate marketing program and everyone seems to be in on it. Would I recommend it? I probably would have still gone knowing what I know now. Like I said, the sites are incredible and I wonder if every tour has the same downsides. The whole upselling is ridiculous but try to have a good laugh about it. :)

It was a great experience with Via tour,that I did a day trip to Luxor from Hurghada.I booked with Via tour on line.the transfer man came picked me up from the hotel around 04:40 am.drove to Luxor.the bus was very good.upon arrival at Luxor,the tour guide Mustafa met us in Karnak temple,he gave us a lot of information about ancient Egypt, we got around half an hour as free time to make pictures.after that we crossed the Nile on a motor boat to the restaurant,the food was good with a nice view of the Nile,after lunch we visited valley of the kings and Hatshepsout temple and the factory of alabaster and the colossal statues of Memnon.before leaving Luxor we did a Nile trip on a motor boat,we also visited the banana village,we saw a lot of trees and crocodiles.we had banana and some other fruits, it was tasty meal before leaving Luxor.we drove back to Hurghada, Thank you very much

L'excursion est intéressante. Bien que fort sympathique, notre guide nous a fait payer 30€ en plus pour la visite de l'île des bananes qui n'a absolument aucun intérêt. Cela nous a un peu déçues et nous a laissé le sentiment "d'arnaque". Sinon, la traversée du Nil d'une rive à l'autre était plaisant.
