    disappointed in the tour company

    We bought the more expensive tour thinking it would be a better class of service. Unfortunately, the tour company we booked with, just turned around and booked us with a cheaper tour. Our tour was supposed to have a pick up at 6. We were at our designated pickup early and our pickup time came and went. When we reached out to the tour company as to why the tour was late, we were informed that the tour pickup was actually at 7:00. No communication about the time change. At 7:00 a 1970’s bus came to pick us up. We then went to pickup the rest of the tour group. They also picked up people who had just booked transportation to Phong Nha. The bus was old, and smelled of must. The seats were small and uncomfortable. The tour guide was sweet, but did not enforce the time limits we were given and the bus left the first stop late. After lunch, there was not a lot of communication about getting on the boats and time was wasted while the tour guide ran around getting tickets. We have traveled extensively and used Viator in every country we’ve been to. This was one of the most disappointing.
