Itinerary
There are three different tour options to choose from: a 5-hour North Shore tour, a 5-hour South Shore tour, and an 9-hour Circle Island tour. No matter what tour you choose, hotel pickup from Waikiki is induced. The North Shore and South Shore tours offer a morning and an afternoon departure time, but the Circle Island tour is only available one time a day due to its longer length. Please note all tour options are heavily focused on locations from the TV show Lost, but each has different stops around Oahu.
The North Shore tour is five hours long, and circles the northern two-thirds of the island. Take a ride in a Hummer as you pass (and stop at a few) locations from movies, such as Karate Kid II, 50 First Dates, Paradise,Hawaiian Style, Tora! Tora! Tora!, Pearl Harbor, and Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
The South Shore tour is also five hours long, but circles the southern portion of the island. Your guide picks you up in a Hummer, as you go by filming sights seen in Blue Hawaii, In Harm's Way, 50 First Dates, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Jurassic World.
The 9-hour tour option is the Circle Island tour, which like its name suggests, circles the island of Ohau. In your Hummer, see the movie-filming locations from both the 5-hour tours, as well as those for Lost. Remember, all three tours are mostly focused on Lost.
After your tour ends, enjoy a relaxing ride back to your Waikiki hotel with snacks and bottled water available.

So this is not a hummer tour it is a mini van I booked this for my wife birthday was disappointed when we found out that it was a mini van tour no hummer drive as shown on advertisement the driver had lots of knowledge about the show lost we had parts in the show got to see lots of locations where they filmed the show that was really nice all in all it was good just bad advertisement

Aloha and thank you for taking the time to review our tour. Although I do not remember your tour in particular, in general, you are completely correct. Sometimes we travel in a Hummer and sometimes in, not just a minivan, but a Mercedes minivan with Dharma logos all around. Each party that books a tour receives our tour confirmation email from me which states "please be on the lookout for our Dharma Van, a Mercedes minivan with Dharma logos all around or a Hummer. Either way we are difficult to miss." Depending on the tour and size of the group we will use either our Dharma Van or a Hummer. We used to drive exclusively in Hummers as we drove off road quite a bit. As years went by and our tours got more extensive and detailed, we are now able to show many more LOST locations by driving on roads than in previous years. And since we drive on roads there is no excuse for driving a vehicle that gets only 10 miles per gallon (4 liters per 16KM) and only seats 4 guests. Hummers are not exactly environmentally friendly! At any rate, we are the only company in the entire world that offers LOST Tours and takes you to locations such as the crash site beach, the Dharma Village, the place where Sawyer shoots the polar bear, the cliff where the Nigerian drug plane falls and Boone is killed, the waterfall where Kayte and Sawyer find the silver briefcase at the bottom of a pond (depending on which tour you take) and many, many more. You received a private or semi private tour with between 2 and 6 guests on your tour and a tour that lasts between 6 and 10 hours in length, where you can see virtually the entire island (Circle Island Tour) in one 10 hour day, totally focused on LOST and Movies and scenic beauty, with many stops for great photos of our magnificent scenery. Small groups, personalized, lots of stops and LOST focused tours. And we are the only company in the entire world that does this for LOST. Your tour guide was most likely an extra in LOST as well with lots of valuable knowledge about the show. So...with all that...if driving in our Dharma Van rather than a Hummer is cause for your 2 star rating, I'm amazed! I wish that you had read your tour confirmation email better and contacted us refusing the tour without the guaranteed use of a Hummer so that I could have cancelled your tour and not wasted your time. For anyone reading this response, beginning January 1, 2024, we will be exclusively driving Dharma Vans, no Hummers. Randall, once again, thank you for taking the time to review our tour and I hope the rest of your Hawaiian vacation went well.

It was a great tour and Dave our tour guide was excellent and helpful.
Only issue I had was that I booked the full day tour Which was confirmed but till I called the tour company the day before to confirm the pick up I was told the tour might not happen as someone booked the wrong flight!Then eventually Dave offerd the half a day tour which I gladly excepted as the main reason for coming to Hawaii was to do the tour.Dave has told that there will be refund which I hope will happen. Hope these thing's should be confirmed at least few days before.I made sure before I book the tour that they will operate on the 9/6.
Some main places that I looked forward to (eg Byodo Temple) mainly was not covered!There was also no snacks or water provided.
I have no hard feelings but these are in the tour description and should have happened without prompting!
Tour guide Dave was excellent and helpful. He also came back to return my phone that I left in the vehicle. Thank you Dave.The half a day tour was great but it could have been better without the customer going though a hassle!

Thank you for taking the time to review your LOST & Movie Tour. I understand that the tour was not ideal because we had to change from the full day Circle Island to the half day North Shore Tour. But please understand that our company only accepts one person reservations, such as yours, when we can place you with another small group, as the cost of conducting a tour is too much to make it cost effective to take just one person on a tour. Your tour was accepted because you could travel with the group that had unfortunately booked their return flight home on the wrong date. They did not discover their mistake until the day prior to your tour. We switched them to the half day tour so they could catch their flight in the late afternoon. We also reduced the cost of their tour to the half day tour price, just like yours. You were offered a complete refund if you did not want the half day tour, but you did accept that tour, which is less expensive and does not include many locations on the full day tour. Because you booked with Viator and not directly with our company, I do not have any direct control of refunds, I can only request one from them and I asked that they switch your cost from the Circle Island Tour to the North Shore Tour which should give you a refund, but they determine the cost. It is always more efficient to book directly with our company, Lost Tours Hawaii. Regarding snacks and water, both are always in our vehicles and you could have asked at any time. And, oh yes, you are welcome for returning your cell phone that you left in our vehicle. With traffic, returning it to you cost me well over half hour of drive time, fuel and traffic headaches, provided at no cost to you. Once again, thank you for taking the time to review our tour. Hope the rest of your Hawaiian vacation went well.

We were picked up in the Dharma Mercedes van right in front of our hotel and right on time. Dave was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the TV show Lost, and took us to so many of the places that were important to the show. He always offered to take pictures of us. He frequently offered waters, snacks and bathroom breaks when needed.
We did the 9 hour tour and it was a very long day but worth it to see everything. Would highly recommend if you’re a big Lost fan like us.

But, in that day you see the vast majority of the island and most of your favorite filming locations from the TV show LOST and some older and newer movies that were filmed on the island of Oahu. I have tried to make the tour more than just a LOST tour by including a lot of information about various aspects of Natural History, such as plants, birds, animals, geology, formation of the islands and military and Hawaiian history as we drive around the island. It is a good tour for LOST as well as non-Lost fans as well. After taking our tour, there is no reason to take any other sightseeing type tours on Oahu. All tours are either very small group or private tours. Once again, thank you for taking our tour and hope to see you again someday in the future.

The tour was very centric on the lost series but did have a few Hawaii 50 and Jurassic Park locations. We are not Lost fans but it was a nice tour to see many parts of the city along with the blow hole and Nu’uanu Pali look out and the Punch Bowl crater. Tour guide Greg did a fantastic job.

Dave took us on our tour and he was brilliant! Really appreciated the photos from Lost and various films Dave shared with us, pointing out the landmarks so we could relate what you saw in the show to the actual place where it was filmed. And he knows so much about the locations and the show, we were definitely in safe hands! One of the best things we have done on our trip, highly recommended.

Wasted a day of our vacation all descriptions and pictures attached to this tour are not true. We waited 30 minutes for them to pick us up we called and panic knowing if we missed the tour. The hummer car that are shown are not the one we used, we used a old crappy van that is loud squeaking sound coming from the door irritated our ears the whole trip. No snacks(which the details says snacks and waters provided). Please don't book this tour expensive and waste of time been planning this trip with my family. So frustrated. Only if I can give a zero rating.

I remember you specifically, pick up at the Ross. You received a 10 hour Circle Island Tour, with expenses for entry fees into the beautiful Byodo Temple and historic Waimea Valley included in the cost of your tour. Like all our guests, after the Waimea Valley walk and lunch beak you received a bottle of ice cold water from our ice chest, that we carry on all Circle Island Tours, for something cool to drink while driving to our next stop. We do carry snack bars which are provided on request, but with a lunch break, most guests never do ask. You saw nearly the entire island all in one day, plus all those excellent LOST & Movie locations, with lots of stops for great photos of our magnificent scenery. What you refer to as a "crappy old van" is a low mileage, 2017 Mercedes mini van sized vehicle. We specialize in very small group tours, which often turn into private tours. I am the only person who carries the company phone. Both my personal tour confirmation letter and our website clearly says that we pick up at 7AM. You called me at 6:30 wondering where your vehicle was. You also were confused about the pick up location and I made special arrangements, for your convenience, to pick you up at the Ross department store, since you knew where that was located. I understand that this summer in Waikiki has been frustrating for everyone. Restaurants, tours, Pearl Harbor and all the things tourists like to do have been absolutely packed and lines to do everything have been terrible. Even getting food at restaurants has been a challenge. Earlier this summer, at the end of a tour I even took a family of five outside of Waikiki to a restaurant to pick up supper as they had not eaten all day. We always do extra to make our guests comfortable and provide tours that are a good value. It is unfortunate that you did not find our tour to be satisfactory. I hope that the rest of your Hawaiian vacation was better and that you will visit the islands at some point when life is back to normal. Once again, thank you for taking the time to review our tour. I was very disappointed that we did go on the hummers and it was very boring for 5 hours. He says that we wouldn’t all fit then why did he book 6 people for the same time and day. I wasted all that money for something we where told we would get and we didn’t won’t recommend no one to this Lost ride

Waikiki has been overwhelmed with visitors this summer. Long lines for everything, tours, restaurants, Pearl Harbor, etc. It seems that many more people than normal have come here after COVID and a year of being locked away, and, Hawaii is a very safe pace to visit. This year we have had more people than ever, especially people who booked with Viator, who are not LOST TV show fans. We call ourselves the LOST & Movie tour company for a reason, because that is what we do, we focus on LOST and Movies filmed on Oahu. Many people take our tour each year because we are reasonably priced and drive around different parts of the island and not only talk LOST & Movies, but aspects of Natural History as well. I can say that I have never had a LOST fan take any of our tours and feel that it was a waste of time and money. Most come away with a new understanding of how incredible the minds of the creators of the show were, to find and use all these locations, all over the island and make one of the most popular TV shows in history. And it was almost entirely filmed on this one island alone, not in Australia, or Nigeria, or Thailand. Most of our guests come away with a new appreciation for LOST and Movies filmed here. I may be the owner, but I conduct many of the tours myself and I know the reaction of our guests. That is why I like doing some of the tours myself, it keeps me up to speed with people's reactions and interacting with our guests is fun! At any rate, it is unfortunate that you feel that you did not get a good value. We travel in small vehicles and do not book private tours through Viator. You would need to contact us through our web site Lost Tours Hawaii for that. I am sure anyone can realize that we cannot take two people on a private tour when we can combine small groups that fit adequately in our Dharma Van, a Mercedes mini van. Hummers are small inside and only fit four people comfortably. Our tour confirmation email sent to all guests explains that they may be riding in a Hummer or our Dharma Van. We booked the full day tour and loved it. Our guide Dave was well prepared for this tour and excelled in answering all of our questions regardless of whether the topic was Lost, movies, Hawaiian history or horticulture. I highly recommend this tour.

Loved seeing all the sites, but seeing the sea turtles was my favorite! The coastline was perfection! Guide Dave was so kind, and had vast knowledge about Lost as well as the Island. We had a wonderful day and saw so many things!

The concept of this tour is incredible but the execution is even better. Since LOST was filmed literally all over the island, you will get to visit places from one tip of the island to the other. The guide was full of information about the show, different movies and shows, but more importantly about the island itself.
We saw so many things and our guide was flexible and worked with us to make choices along the way about what we wanted. We selected to be picked up in the van instead of the Hummer since we had read that it was easier to get in and out using the van.
The entire experience was worth the money. We did the 9 hour tour. You'll be surprised about some of the movie "magic" that happened during the filming.

Our Dharma Van, not exactly a 1970 VW bus as shown on LOST, but a newer Mercedes mini-van sized vehicle with Dharma logos all around, much more comfortable than an old VW bus. During the COVID crisis, all tours are private tours with masks to enhance safety and social distancing. We have designed all the tours to be a combination of LOST and Movies and an in-depth review of Hawaiian Natural History, such a geology, formation of the islands, plants, birds animals, Hawaiian and military history and general sightseeing as we drive around Oahu. One does not need to be a fan of LOST to enjoy the tour. As LOST was filmed almost entirely on this one island each tour will have many of your favorite LOST locations with many famous movie locations included always filmed at the most beautiful locations on Oahu. This tour. was. awesome! Greg was our guide and he did a phenomenal job. He is so knowledgeable and tossed in his own anecdotes about his time living in Hawaii and working on the set of Lost. He also challenges you with tons of Lost trivia which I loved just as much as seeing the sites of the show. 100% recommend!

Greg was very knowledgeable and super friendly! The tour ended up being longer than advertised which was awesome, and his knowledge of the island made the whole trip very worthwhile. Me and my friend have never seen the TV show "Lost" and I highly recommend that you do before going on this tour! Even so, it was a great experience and I recommend it 100%.
