Not worth the money. Awful guide - condescending and rude. Forced us to walk over dangerous bridge. The walking bridge was 40 meters away. Irresponsible.

Very authentic and cozy tour

I did both this tour and Cu Chi tunnels/Mekong Delta. This tour definitely wins! Although you have to wake up very early, it is totally worth it. The floating market is suc a unique experience! And we were fed really well: only at the market we had full breakfast, fruit, and coffee. Then, we also ate at the fruit farm and rice-noodle factory. The fishermen villages were very cozy and picturesque with a lot of lovely places to stop and make photos. Our guide, Phong was very caring and attentive. It was a great day to spend outside Saigon and see more of rural Vietnam.

A fun day in rural Vietnam!

This was a wonderful tour! We agreed it was an excellent way to get outside of HCMC for a day to experience a different style of life in Vietnam. Our driver arrived precisely at our arranged pickup time and we had a comfortable, safe drive to Can Tho. We had to wake up early, but we agreed it was worth the early wake-up to see the market in the morning when it is lively. Our guide Nga was charming and knowledgeable, and she welcomed us as though we were old friends. We did a variety of activities after the market, such as visiting a fish farm, seeing a rice noodle factory, and going to a local restaurant where we made jackfruit cakes. It was a busy but entertaining day. A few things of note- first, we feel that this was as much a food tour as a sightseeing tour. We tried a variety of different fruits, soups, and cakes. We were very full when we were finished, and also took some fruit back to HCMC with us, so arrive for this tour with an appetite! We would also like to mention that this tour requires guests to step in and out of boats on multiple occasions, and guests who have issues with their knees, backs, or balance issues may have a slight amount of difficulty with this part of the trip. Our guide was very helpful, but this trip may be uncomfortable for some. There was also a small amount of walking, maybe 1km or 2km total or so. Overall, we were thrilled with this tour. We thought we paid a fair price, and we did a lot for our money. We left the city at 4:00am and arrived at 4:00pm, so we still had time to enjoy an evening in the city upon our return. Don‘t miss the floating market

Our Guide Nga was very good. You can see, she loves the countryside. She showed us the plants, the life of the fisherman and the floating market. It was amazing to see and taste all the fruits, the pho (the traditional soup) and the hot pot. We went to a family, where we got the hot pot and we baked our own cake. We saw the jumping fish and other different fishes at the fishfarm. The noodles factory was ok, but the break on the boat of a fisherman, who served us fresh pineapple was great. Overall we loved the one day tour and we can warmly recommend Nga.

A unique experience you definitely won't be able to do without a local guide. The first half of the day followed a well trodden tourist path around some classic sights around the Mekong, including seeing the floating markets, visiting a traditional rice noodle making facility, checking out a demo farm, and enjoying snacks everywhere we went. From mid morning, our itinerary took us to a floating market vendor's boat for a look around, a fish farm, a wander through a local fish and fruit farming community, followed by what was almost a double lunch at two of the local establishments. Your day starts incredibly early if departing from Ho Chi Minh City, but the tour is jam packed and well worth doing. Our guide was from the local area and knowledgeable about the plants, fruits and geography - fascinating to listen to despite her not being 100% fluent in English. The food you get to try is as local as it gets - nothing too crazy, just certainly hasn't been "westernised" to cater for tourists, which we think is great. Finally, we really appreciated not being pressured into buying anything anywhere along the tour. All in all, a great day out!

Immersion into South of Vietnam

This tour is an incredible immersion into how Vietnamese people live. We visited a noodle factory and a fish farm, and learned how people work and live in a small town. We visited the floating market and went to the boat of a pineapple farmer to experience how they live and cook. This was my favorite part of my entire Viet Nam trip. Nhu Y was a very funny and adventurous tour guide. We got pedicures from koi fish, she let me row a canoe, we picked berries, and got to make coconut crepes. The fish farm was beautiful!! Unexpected trip

We arrived at HCM at 1am and booked for this tour to make sure that the day was not wasted. It was the right decision for us. This trip brought it a surprise. We get to see how people live in the river with their boats and simple life selling different fruits and food that tourists can try. Also, we met good people to share the trip. I was very excited for this trip and I was not disappointed. It was totally worth the cost, early start and journey time from HCM. My tour guide Donny made it such fun and took great care of me. He was sensitive to my dietary requirements and comfort. Donny answered all my questions and made sure I got the best experience. It surpassed our expectations

Nhu Y Was an excellent and knowledgeable guide. This was one of the few tours which left HCM in time to catch the floating market. We were on the river before daybreak at one of the lunar high tides, so there was seasonal flooding. Nhu explained much of the activity going on on the river with the knowledge of a local person. The day was just so full of local activities: the water market; tasting the many, many local fruits, having breakfast from one of the boat sellers, visiting one of the floating businesses processing fish, noodles and other varied local foodstuffs, touring the wholesale floating markets, visiting the island fish farms (fantastic experience), touring a local fruit farm and tasting the exotic fruits, making our own local cakes which were steamed and served as part of our leisurely, locally prepared lunch sitting above the water, and finally visiting a local historic French house finely decorated and furnished, and with a unique history. Nhu’s knowledge and familiarity with all of the local vendors and owners made the day stress free. At times we had to listen hard to understand Nhu’s accent, and if we didn’t catch something she always took the time to explain it. It was an Excellent day we will remember for the rest of our lives.

Great day tour with Dao, she is knowledgeable, engaging and funny. Departure and return to HCM a big plus. Early start very much worthwhile to reach the Cai Rang market early (and get a hearty Hu Tieu serving for breakfast!) and have a full day visiting temples, a fish farm, and other local sites. Die Tourführerin präsentierte die Tour einfühlsam und abwechslungsreich, so dass keinerlei Langeweile aufkam. Auch die auf dem schwimmenden Markt verabreichte Nudelsuppe war herzhaft und schmackhaft, sowie all die verabreichten Früchte und das leckere Lunch bei einer Familie. Erwähnenswert ist auch die besonnene Fahrweise unseres Drivers von der Unterkunft zum Ziel und zurück bei den teilweise chaotischen Vekehrsverhältnissen in Vietnam.
