Please arrive 30 minutes before departure time for check in. Check in at our floating office at the end of the long wooden pier. When you turn onto Simmons Rd. you will make your first right into our parking lot. Then you will walk down the wooden pier, turn left, walk to the Island Head office.

The island is interesting. The historic locations and roads ( trails) are poorly marked. Best historic spot was the lighthouse. Might not be worth the $60 each price tag or the $80 fee for golf cart.

The carts are noisy, street signs are questionable and the map is lousy. We booked on Christmas eve so there was only ONE restaurant open. ...it was relaxing and enjoyable!!!!!

Troy was great on the boat rides to and from, giving three stars because they should inform you when you’re booking that most shops, attractions, restaurants are CLOSED on Sundays and Mondays. Place was a ghost town.

Rent a golf cart, it’s impossible to walk the island and you will want to explore.
Speak to the residents and BE KIND. They live here and know all the places to hide a body.

Quick way to get to Daufuskie Island. On our return trip we lucked out & "Capt. Wild Bill" took us back on a faster boat....really appreciated that so much!

Rented a golf cart is was very slow, roads were in very poor condition. The map that they gave us was hard to follow and some of the attractions were not open. Bar at the marina was ok. Two and from boats were ok.

Very relaxing day on Daufuskie. Lots of Gullah history. Must rent a golf cart- really no other way to get around, but it is almost $100 for 5 hours! Would not recommend the island for children. Not enough interest for them.

Don’t go on a Sunday. Everything is closed!
We went swimming in the ocean, was a lot of fun. No gluten free food available for my family.

Very laid back and helpful. They took care of everything and were very knowledgeable about the island. Ferry drivers even made sure that the visitors who wanted to see dolphins saw them.

Unfortunately, my friend became I'll before we left the house to go to Hilton Head, so we could not go on the trip and had to forfeit our fee.

There is nothing of any interest on this island. It was a waste of $300 to get there and back, $130 for a golf cart, and over $100 for lunch. We took the earliest boat back as there was literally nothing to see or do,

Very courteous and accommodating. We had a teething 18 month old, who required us to cut our day trip short. The captain of the boat came back early to pick us up and was early. We greatly appreciated the service.

Loved exploring the rustic island, beautiful scenery, sitting by the pond at the distillery was lovely and the shrimp tacos at the Old Daufuskie Crab Co. were delicious! The scrap iron drinks weren’t bad either🥰

Golf cart around the island, the nature and the beach. Really enjoyed the different shops around the island. Would be fun to add maybe a scavenger hunt for the kids.

John and Jack, our captain and first mate were professional and friendly. They displayed courtesy and respect to all the passengers. As we were leaving the island they were constantly scanning the dock area and turned the boat around for two passengers who were later returning to catch the boat back.

The ferry itself ran on time and was pretty well organized. One complaint: there were drinks on board, however, the staff never even mentioned that they were available for purchase or made any effort to offer them. When we asked, one of the mates actually discouraged us saying they were warm and stale. You would think that the ferry line AND the staff could both profit from offering beverages to customers, not to mention keeping customers happier. More broadly, I would say a couple of hours on the island is enough unless you want to sit on the beach. Between paying for the ferry and golf cart (that you definitely need to go around), more that 200 bucks for two people is too steep for what you get out of this trip.

Terrific staff and excellent boat. We had a wonderful day. The boat left on time and was very comfortable. They even had a small bar with a variety of drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic
