The Bikes are large and...

The Bikes are large and heavy but have good acceleration. A good portion of the ride was in city traffic so it’s not for the faint of heart. That being said, my 5’0, 64 year old wife was able to handle it, but she is an experienced rider. The tastings were informative and fun and the scenery at higher elevations was wonderful.

Knossos & unspoilt Crete in one trip

This was a bike tour to Knossos & 2 villages . It was on E bikes, which we hadn’t been on before but we’re glad of them when we got used to it. Alex our guide led us safely through Heraklion to Knossos We had a guided tour there, which was good. Bring cash!!! The guides don’t take cards. Then onto a pretty village with multicoloured houses & a drink. Then onto the next village for a late lunch. Home cooked delicious food overlooking a of vines & olive groves. This is unspoilt Crete We were lucky there were only 2 of us on the tour & we were invited (extra!) to go to a taverna lit by candles with lots of homemade food & wine. True local experience. Excellent food, which just kept coming. Wonderful trip & would recommend it.
