This was a great experience and took in several sites on the south rim as well as a drive through the forest roads. Our guide Sheila was awesome and made it fun. This was worth the time.

Unbeatable views with a side of history

Rachael_R, Mar 2026
Perhaps wear layers for the weather. It does get cooler at night. Make sure to bring water although the guide did have some small bottles of water just in case. Our guide was great with telling us about the history of the area and pointing out wildlife when we came upon it. He also showed us a few great spots for photo ops and was patient to let us experience it all. The sunset was gorgeous as the colors change and reflect off the rock. Well worth the price to see such beautiful sights and learn.

Great experience

Amanda_N, Mar 2026
Great experience, zooming along in the open sided truck. Mike our guide was very informal and was happy to answer questions as we went along explaining about trees, animals as well as a bit of history and rock formations. Yes it can get very chilly on the way back so remember a jacket but there were blankets in the truck and a little water bottle. The canyon looks so different depending on the sun so worth seeing as it sets. A one-off experience

Response from Host, Mar 2026

Hello Amanda. You are right. The Grand Canyon colors change throughout the day and into the evening. John Muir described the Grand Canyon as a "gigantic sunken landscape" of "wildest, most multitudinous features," portraying it as a brightly colored, jagged mountain range "countersunk" into a plateau. Thank you for your kind words and I will be sure to let Mike know that you had a wonderful time!

Great tour!

Response from Host, Nov 2025

Hello Joyce. Thank you for your 5-Star review. A little disappointing

Lee_V, Nov 2025
I was super excited to see the Grand Canyon and was expecting a little more from this tour. Our guide was very mellow and wasn’t engaging. The tour was actually a little boring. It was also freezing cold driving in the open air truck. We sat in the back and got tons of wind blowing on us as we drove between the scenic lookouts. Once the sun went down, the guide finally put the wind flaps down, but it was still kind of uncomfortable. Also, he took us to a spot to see the sunset, but the sun was partially blocked by a rock, so it was not the spectacular sunset I was expecting.

Response from Host, Nov 2025

Hello Lee. Thank you for your review. I hope that when you descended from the mountain elevation here (7000') at the Grand Canyon, that the air heated up and that your vacation finished warmly. Cheers!

Great tour!

It was an okay...

Melita_A, Sep 2025
It was an okay experience, nothing exceptional. We did go through the Kaibab forest, which was good to see although we never stopped driving. The rest of the tour seemed to lack substance. We got information on which lodging there is in the park, we stopped at Yavasupai geological museum (visited on our own while the guide waited), and then we looked at the sunset. It wasn’t really off road, it was mostly what we’ve seen while hiking around and some of the most popular spots while we expected something others wouldn’t get to. I think this could be a great tour on Day 1, upon arrival to get the layout, but not worth it on your third day, especially if you’re a big hiker. The guide was a very nice person, he was sweet to everyone, but the information given felt a bit scripted.

Response from Host, Sep 2025

Thank you for your great review of Grand Canyon Jeep Tours & Safaris. We truly appreciate your review and we hope hope that you enjoy the rest of your vacation. Cheers!

We had an incredible tour - such a great way to experience not only the highlights of the Grand Canyon but also some of the lesser-known areas tucked away in the forest. Our guide, Mark, was fantastic: insightful with all the details he shared and wonderfully accommodating in helping us capture photos that will make this a lasting memory for my son and me. Thank you and I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting the Grand Canyon!

The tour was amazing! It exceeded my expectations and even my 13yo son loved it! Werner was a wonderful guide, equal parts knowledgeable and entertaining. The views were stunning despite some smoke from a wildfire. What a magnificent creation! I’d totally suggest this to anyone, young or old. The setting sun on the rocks was awe-inspiring. And the elk, deer and horse were all cherries on the top! Do yourself a favor and book it!
