Buck Wild Hummer Tours is located in the town of Tusayan, 1 mile from the entrance to the Grand Canyon National Park South Rim. We are NOT located inside the National Park, so if you are meeting us at our terminal, we are in the town of Tusayan, just before you enter the National Park. We do NOT pick up in Las Vegas, Flagstaff, Sedona or any other locations besides the hotels listed, located in the town of Tusayan or inside the National Park South Rim. Tusayan Hotel Pickup time is approximately 5-15 minutes prior to tour start time. In Park Pickup time varies, and could be approximately 10 minutes BEFORE Tour Start Time, to 15-20 minutes AFTER Tour Start Time. This is because, depending on scheduled pickups, we first load people checking in at Terminal, then do Tusayan Pickups, then head into the park for pickups and the tour. If you are getting picked up IN the park, your tour duration will be less than the advertised tour duration because you are not traveling into the park with us before the tour, or traveling back to Buck Wild after the tour. You will NOT miss any viewpoint stops if you are getting picked up inside the park. IMPORTANT: You MUST reconfirm your tour at least 24 hours prior to tour date so that we can give you up to date information about pick up or check in time. We will also update via phone/text/What's App if there are changes before the tour begins. NOTE: During busy seasons, we do NOT offer pickup inside the park for certain tour times. Guests staying inside the park must meet us at Buck Wild Hummer Tours 469 AZ-64 Tusayan AZ 86023. Busy times include Spring Break (approximately mid March-end of April), Memorial Day Weekend, Labor Day Weekend, Thanksgiving Weekend, and Christmas-New Years. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Itinerary

This small-group, time-saving tour of the Grand Canyon begins at your selected start time (or, if you’ve upgraded, before sunset). Make your own way to the meeting point in the town of Tusayan, or request pickup from your nearby hotel.

Next, set off in your specially designed Hummer, outfitted with stadium-style seating to ensure everyone has unimpeded views of the scenery. Over the space of just 2 hours, you’ll make multiple stops at the most scenic places along the South Rim, thanks to your guide’s local knowledge. With ample time to soak up the scenery, you can pose for photos and even look out for local wildlife.

As you go, your guide will provide an in-depth introduction to the area’s history, nature, and geology. Hear stories and learn facts that you wouldn’t encounter on your own.

Finally, the tour ends at your departure point just a couple hours later, ensuring time-pressed travelers can continue their sightseeing and make the most of their visit.

Dave was our guide and he was amazing. We were picked up from our hotel and went to several stops in the park. Dave was very knowledgeable. At each stop, he took us away from the regular crowds and knew exactly where to go to get the very best views. We saw the most beautiful sunset at Moran point. It was wonderful evening.

Great way to see the Grand Canyon

Raymond_T, Mar 2026
Excellent way to tour the Grand Canyon if you only have hours, not days, to do so. No need to figure out parking or viewing spots in the huge park, they do it all for you. Our driver, Taylor, had tons of interesting facts to share and took us to several different lookouts. Watching the sun set over the Canyon wall was just beautiful and not something we'll forget. Would definitely recommend!

Very much fun and informative/ we got to see parts of the Grand Canyon that we might not have seen. Jerry was our leader/ he was outstanding!!!!

Leisure ride as a passenger or just follow the park map.

Lisa_G, Mar 2026
Fun excursion, however we traveled with a personal vehicle and could have just went to the spots on our own. The park map denotes the stops and they’re right off the road. Our guide did provide some great history/facts of the canyon.

Our tourist guide Mr. Samuel did an amazing job and provided a lot of information and history! It was the perfect day trip and something we will never forget!

Amazing Tour!

Catherine_K, Dec 2025
This is the way to see the Grand Canyon! We only had one day to explore and we NEVER would have known all these stops to go to. In addition, our tour guide, Sam, was unbelievable! He knew so many fun facts and kept the tour so interesting and engaging. My son is 10 and he asked about 1 million questions. Sam took it all in stride and even engaged him in conversation about the things he was asking. He also took family pictures for us, which never happens on vacation. At the end of the tour, he made several suggestions about things we could see on our drive back to Scottsdale. I cannot say good things about the tour and Sam!

Memorable Tour with an Exceptional Guide

Amish_A, Dec 2025
We had a wonderful experience on the Buck Wild Hummer tour, largely thanks to our driver and guide, Daniel. He was incredibly knowledgeable and truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a good trip. We chose a cloudy winter day, and unfortunately, a couple of the main spots were completely covered in clouds. However, as soon as a small window opened up and the sun started shining, Daniel actually doubled back to those spots so we could enjoy the view. He also made sure to slow down whenever we spotted Elk, which was a nice touch. The tour overall was memorable, but I do have one nitpick regarding the vehicle. While I understand the company uses actual military Hummers retrofitted for tourists, they aren't the most comfortable. The seating is okay, but the vehicle vibrates significantly and is quite loud. It might not be the best option for elderly passengers. Since the tour is almost entirely on paved surfaces, the ruggedness of the Hummer feels like a bit of an overkill for this specific application. That being said, the service was top-tier. They have an indoor waiting area and have complimentary coffee and water.

Very well managed tour

Radostin_B, Dec 2025
It is well organized and our driver Jerry was very knowledgeable and entertaining!! Do some homework before you get there 😄

Great Sunset Tour!

Amy_R, Dec 2025
The sunset tour was so worth it! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and provided water and blankets.

Save your money

Pankaj_C, Dec 2025
If you have a car then price of this tour is not worth it. Hummer bus driver will take you along the rim road and stop at 2-3 viewpoint and bring you back to hotel. I didn’t find this tour enjoyable or extraordinary. We had already driven on the road couple times.

Gigi is the best …

Family friendly

JenniferZgoda, Nov 2025
Great for families, my 7-year-old had a Blast, and they provided a booster, which was awesome! With the time we had, we saw four different overlooks and learned a lot along the way! Our guide was highly knowledgeable and attentive to everyone. We also saw some elk and deer. He slowed down so we all had a chance to get a picture. Definitely recommend! You'll be lucky if you get Dan!
