Tomasz Kujawski was an excellent guide. He was polite and very knowledgeable. He really shared the essence of Gdansk with us during our 2.5 hours together. From the Renaissance period through the WWII era and on to the Solidarity Movement he made the history of Gdansk come alive for us.

Thomas was a wonderful speaker, had an incredible knowledge of Polish history, including politics, architecture, and fun facts that made our excursion and A+ event. This was far more than we expected from a four hour tour. The value was excellent. We had options for visiting historic sites,, shopping, and he was willing to work with our pace. If someone is looking for a private tour in Gdansk Poland, this is the guy.

Karina was great! She is knowledgeable, entertaining, and enthusiastic! We learned a lot and enjoyed her explanations and quips. We didn't venture out of the Old Town but the coverage and pace were good. I can recommend both the tour and the guide for your own adventure in Gdańsk!

There are a couple of reasons why I think you must look for a different tour:
1) the guide’s English was really not good enough.
2) she was suppose to meet us at our hotel and then send us a message as if we were suppose to meet her at a different place.
3) I thought it a bit unprofessional for a guide, after starting late at the wrong place, to interrupt the tour to visit a store.
Overall the worst tour for us in a 20 day trip.

I learned the hard way that parking in Gdańsk in the rain takes longer than expected, so I will take a train next time! Regardless, our tour guide waited for us even though we were very delayed, and ensured we had a comprehensive, entertaining and efficient tour of old town Gdańsk.

Marek was so flexible - I had to change the time of the tour 36 hours before and it was no trouble. Marek knew so much about Gdansk - we had a wonderful 3 hours walking around and seeing the incredible architecture, the beautiful town centre and lots of quirky things we would never have found for ourselves. Marek gave us good recommendations for bars and restaurants and all in all it was a great experience.

I thought I was booking a tour guide to see Gdansk and it turns out I was meeting my friend Michal to spend a great day around town. Michal is friendly and speaks too many languages (even Chinese) but his pride in his country shines through in the many, many stories he tells as you go through the city. He even brings photos to show you what certain areas looked like before the city was rebuilt and who was standing on the spot you're currently on, but so many years ago. You'll get an amazing tour through history, seeing Gdansk's role in the region, in world affairs and in science. And we even went to lunch at a spot away from the tourists in the old town, where we were surrounded by locals, authentic food and seasonal beer. Absolutely the best tour you can take in Poland. And as an added bonus, you get to tell you friends back home you were guided around by a Nobel Peace Prize Winner's interpreter.

A delightful young lady took here and there throughout the town - giving us historical facts and stories. She went out of her way to take us to a reputable amber dealer, who went thru the steps of understanding how to tell a fake piece from the "real deal". At the end, we treated her to a super lunch on a balcony overlooking the river - out of the way of the other tourists. I highly recommend this tour!

We took a 3 hour tour with Joanna who was able to customise the tour to suit our interests in the Hanseatic league and time of the Teutonic knights. She included this information whilst giving us a full history and showing us around most of historic Gdansk. Her knowledge and willingness to answer questions was faultless and her insights exceptional. The time passed in a flash but we were left with a great understanding of the city (and more broadly Poland) and plans for the days to come, which have been working out well. Highly recommended.
