Go beyond the boardwalks and see more of the Perito Moreno Glacier than you could from afar during the Big Ice Tour that lets you walk on the ice. Age restrictions: This activity is suitable exclusively for people aged 18 to 50 inclusive, without exception.

Food: Food is not included and there are no places to purchase it during the excursion. Each passenger must bring their own food from El Calafate.
Recommended clothing: Thermal shirt and leggings, warm sweater and jacket, windproof and waterproof jacket, trekking pants, waterproof hiking or athletic shoes, thermal socks or two pairs of socks, gloves, warm hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
To confirm your booking, you must send the following information for all passengers: Full name, Passport or national identity card number, Nationality, Date of birth, Photograph of the passport of minors, Hotel (if you purchased the option with transfers). Your booking will not be confirmed, nor will your place be guaranteed, until we have received all the requested information from each passenger.
Schedule: The published schedule is an estimate. Once all the information required to confirm the booking has been received, our team will inform you of the exact start time.
Medical restrictions: Pregnant women and people with obesity and sedentary lifestyles are not eligible to participate; nor are those with respiratory illnesses such as COPD, asthma, or emphysema; central or peripheral cardiovascular conditions; reduced cardiac or vascular capacity; stents, bypasses, pacemakers, or other prostheses; physical or mental disabilities that affect attention, gait, or coordination; recent fractures; serious spinal or knee problems; or recent surgeries.
Evaluation for participation: If, at the start of the excursion, a person presents any of the aforementioned exclusionary conditions or has difficulty walking independently, they will not be able to participate. In these cases, no refund will be issued.

Remarkable experience!!

Definitely a must go place if you are in planning to go Argentina. Overall it was a bit challenging for me, I choose the long trail that took around 7 hours. First there are some hiking in the beginning, once you arrived to the big ice you will have to walk with the cramps on. Ngl it actually make the walk even difficult but was a fun experience overall.

I went on the Big Ice tour as a solo traveler. One girl in our tour group was very scared and had a hard time keeping up. Our guide, Agustin took her by the hand the whole time and led her as well as the group on a great tour of the glacier. They did a great job making her feel comfortable and safe while making the tour good for everyone else.

My tour was overbooked and canceled last minute the night before, although they were able to get me rescheduled on the smaller/shorter trek for the same day. The trekking itself was an eye opening experience and tons of fun. Our guides were pretty laid back, and so we were given the freedom to walk around as long as we were within their sights / still in the same general area. The tour dates sell out well in advance though, so call in and ask.

很累的一天，但其實相當值得。和mini trekking 最大的差別是，big ice的行程可以看到照片中的冰洞（ice cave）。看完冰洞後，會開始爬山，繞到冰河後側，然後才開始爬冰河。最累人的也就是爬山這一段，冰河上可以看到藍色的湖和漂亮的河流，不過這其實mini trekking 也看的到，差別就沒那麼大。
