Lovely facility, uncrowded compared to other spas in Iceland. Lovely, clean baths, exceptional views and right on the lake, which you can also swim in! Highly recommend.

We used the Vok baths at night (with a full moon) and it was quite a lovely experience. The cold plunge is a must try-even if you’re on the fence about it, just got for it!

The pools overlook a beautiful lake with hills in the distance. It is a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours after a day of hiking or driving. There a few pools of varying temperatures and a sauna. For those wanting to cool off, a jump into the lake does the trick. While not our favorite spa (that goes to the Forest Lagoon in Akuyeri), the Vök Baths were very nice. The only negative was how slippery the main pool was. That will, of course, be corrected when they clean it again.

Vok baths is a really cool experience. 3 different temperature pools plus sauna overlookinga lake. You can cool off in the 10 degree lake which is exhilarating. You need to shower before entering pool with limited private space to do so. Found the check in reception lady treated me like an imbecile as I was struggling with her thick Spanish accent and very rapid speech, which was unnecessary and demeaning as i was trying to understand the wrist band pricing etc. Soured the experience some what as she was not kind.

Bring a change of clothes. You shower before entering the baths. Can't bring any food or bag into the baths area.

Very nice, you can go in the cold lake and then in the hot pools! Great view as well. They also have a bar on the hot pools.

    Not to be missed!

Vok Baths is a must stop if you're in the area. It is small, quiet but perfectly formed with three main pools adajacent to a lake (in which you can take a cooling dip every now and then) a sauna and cooling mist tunnel, as well as luxurious shower facilities and products. Vok also offers a free herbal tea before you leave feeling thoroughly relaxed.

    Vok Baths worth the visit

Excellent bath experience. Was not crowded like at the Blue Lagoon. Very peaceful with 3 different baths at 3 different temps. If you are driving by on Ring Road, a worthy stop.

    Amazing experience

Amazing experience, even my boys enjoyed everything that was offered here. We enjoyed champagne and smoothies! Highly recommend for families!!!

    Great day

Incredible experience. We decided to go here instead of the Blue Lagoon because we heard several unpleasant things from the locals about it. Loved being able toto go from the hot baths to the freezing lake! That is optional of course but amazing! Also loved being able to stay as long as we wanted. The tour offered by our cruise ship was very expensive and only allowed an hour at the baths. Be sure to book a taxi service ahead of time if you are going from the cruise port. The Vok baths website has info on the taxis.

My family was super excited to go to the VoK Baths, but we were unable to go because there is no public transportation available from Seydifjorder to their location.

Breathtaking & relaxing, BUT take care of transportation AHEAD OF TIME!

    Shannon_S, Jun 2022
The ONLY reason this is a 4-star and not a 5-star is because of transportation. Our cruise line had VOK baths as a tour but it sold out before we could book it, so I did it on my own through Viator. There is no transportation included so we figured we would just get a taxi. There are only 3 taxis in the area & the day we were there, 2 of them were on holiday. My advice: book a taxi or a rental car ahead of time (rental cars were all sold out the day of). We did get off the ship a couple of hours early thank goodness & called the taxi number at the info center. We called at about 9:30am & got picked up a little more than 2 hours later. Once we did get there, it was amazing! We got to stay more than twice as long as the ship excursion and paid half the price (including transportation). It was so relaxing, so breathtaking, and three different temperatures to choose from. They even have a walk up bar while you’re in the water. The Bistro inside has good food, but you can’t wear your bathing suit in there so my suggestion is to eat before you change & go into the pools (wish we had known that, halfway through we had to dry off, get dressed, go eat, and then put our wet suits back on to go back to the pools). The Bistro is also extremely slow. Even though we had issues with transportation this was my favorite excursion. If you’re looking for rest & relaxation while soaking up the beauty of Iceland, this is a MUST!

A MUST ON A TRIP TO ICELAND!

After a long day of traveling, this place was an oasis. Beautiful location, amazing warm water, a bar, great showers. Highly recommend this hot spring if you are traveling to Iceland.

Tasty but no more special than the Secret Lagoon that only costs half! Bottom vd bathing gives a less natural idea (smooth bottom)
