Our guide Hassan was kind but had minimal knowledge of Qatar. When we stopped he visited with his friend Abdul and didn’t talk with us. In the car he talked on the phone with Abdul. He told us incorrect information or admitted he didn’t know the answers. I talked with a woman who went on this tour with another company and she said her guide was so knowledgeable. I felt cheated.

Abdul was very responsible, texted the day before about pick up details and he was punctual. Giving us explanation on the places we passed by and went. Glad I went on this tour and we saw the camels racing!

I sent 2 messages to the Viator the day before the trip but I had no reply. The driver (who was very nice) contacted me the next morning but didn't know about my messages to the company. Nice small group. 250km drive so we spent more time in than out of the car and some of the stops were less interesting than others (fish market/abandoned village). We bought a sandwish in the morning and ate it later standing next to the car. Not many toilet opportunities. Personally, I would have liked to spend more time in some places and have more information. The mangroves, the fort and the desert rock formations and sculptures were amazing and it was good to leave the city for a day.

Picked up on time from my hotel and had a small group join me from other hotels. A very enjoyable but long day.
Abdullah was very knowledgeable and learnt alot about the sites we saw. He had a lot of questions thrown at him😅

This was a good tour but not honestly the best as the driver explained the site a little then usually stayed in the car. However it is an easy way to get around!

Great tour . We covered a lot of amazing things to see. Our guide is Abdullah and he is very knowledgeable and accommodating. He went over and above . He took us to other along the way places as we wish even when it’s not in the itinerary. Mid May is already quite hot so we picked the 5am .
For tour manager: pls include a heads up if there’s a chance of combining tour schedules so we are prepared to get a message day before. It worked out anyway for us as we ended up with a longer tour to accommodate the 2 schedules .

We were lucky and got to see some camels practice racing.
Doha has a lot of things to see but I wanted to get out and see some of the countryside of Qatar and this tour does just that.

Highlights include camel race track, Richard Serra installation & rock formations. Experiences such as the fish market & fort weren’t so interesting. These could be replaced with a visit to the petroglyphs.

The only reason the tour is not a 5* is due to the fact that no one showed up even after I talked to somebody from their end, here in the app, a day prior to confirm the data. It was a nightmare trying to contact the company to solve the situation but once we did, we were given a chance to do the tour almost 2 hrs after we were supposed to be picked up.
Now to the tour... we were guided by Zia who did a wonderful job and didn't deserve the mess that someone did prior. He was a wonderful guided and explained us a lot of the culture and history in Qatar since this was our first time there.
Such a respectful, competent and kind person should be able to see a 5* here.
Both the guide, Zia, and the tour are 100% recommended.

Tour was excellent. Got to see a lot of the country in 1 day. Syed was a very good guide and treated our family very well. He made sure to fit the tour to our requirements by spending as much time as we wanted on specific sights and got us back on time for our restaurant booking. Highly recommended.

Extremely poor value for money, as I was the only person booked and the cost was 4x the “from” rate quoted on the website. No option to stop for lunch (not included) and the visit to the camel facility was a drive alongside the racetrack. Didn’t see a single camel. Good driver guide, though. Look for another option.

I really enjoyed my second day of touring Doha with Adil. I loved the time visiting the massive art exhibited that were largely in the desert. I learned and laughed so much! If you have 2 days in Doha like I did, do a city tour (day and night), a desert safari, and this exploration of other parts of Qatar!

Junaid was an excellent guide. Very informative. We were lucky enough to be at Ash Shahaniyah to see some camel racing. Crazy and exciting and Junaid drove us around the track following the camels and owners in their cars. Amazing experience! All the other sites we visited were interesting too. Totally recommend the tour. Thank you Junaid.

Wouldn’t recommend it.
1, there’s really not much to see outside the major city Doha. Lots of driving, and nothing impressive to see. The tour first started at a small stinky fish market, one small old castle, and some rock, nothing to see
2, the tour guides from this company are quite unprofessional. Better call them “drivers” than “tour guide”. They r just buddies with the owner, doesn’t know anything about local history or culture, doesn’t talk or explain much, and certainly not licensed driver
3, can’t believe our car breakdown midway, had to wait for another driver to pick me up to continue the tour. Not well trained or maintained team

This tour is a must if you are visiting Doha as see so much in a day and gives a different perspective to the country. A lot of driving but worth combining the north and west tour and making the most of the day. Abdul Nasir was the driver and highlighted the key points along the way. The desert installation was the highlight but the fort and camel track also amazing to see.

I highly recommend this private full day tour of the north and west of Qatar. After being in Doha, it was wonderful to venture out of the city to seen more countryside, cultural aspects and historical sites. Having the flexibility to start as early as 5:00 am meant that we were able to see the sunrise while we were at the limestone rock formations, including the mushroom-shaped rock and the Eye in the Rock. Thank you Sajid for the wonderful sunrise pictures! In addition, by 8:30 am we were in the camel racing area to see the many, large, camel groups coming and going to their morning training sessions. At Zubara Fort – Qatar’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site — we learned more about Qatar history and the perils of pearl diving. We also saw Bahrain from one of the towers. We visited an archeological site of a village from the 18th century and learned about ongoing efforts for preservation. The visit to the mangroves was unique, especially when thinking about an isolated body of salt water in the desert full of fish, crabs and birds! Our last stop was in Al Khor, a former pearl diving center, to see the old dhow port and the fish market. In addition, our guide, Sajid, who is Qatari, was so openminded to field any and all questions we had. We had met so many people during our visit but not anyone actually from Qatar. Sajid was a wealth of information and answered so many questions from us. It was wonderful to spend the day learning from him about Qatar and his culture.

Our guide and driver, Zohaib, did an excellent job of showing us the north and west of Qatar. On the way there and back, we also saw a commercial fishing marina, a fish market, and many camels near the camel racing track. A great day seeing some of Qatar outside of Doha.
