The good: the sites that you see are interesting and the guides are friendly and informative. The food is ok and the accommodation is ok.
The bad: much of the itinerary is skipped and start times are delayed whilst they try to fit you in to their schedules. Day 1 was supposed to start at 7:00 but delayed until 8:45 (for weather reasons apparently). After my collection, two other tourists cancelled and they suggested that I reschedule for the next day too. As I couldn't, they joined me to another group. From there onwards they cut out lots from their advertised Viator itinerary. Zarsis lake stop - skipped. Tatooine market stroll - skipped. 2 mountain villages in the itinerary but we only went to 1. For Day 2 I was told by my guide that we would start at 09:00 but eventually at 09:45 the camp staff came to tell me that I wouldn't start until after lunch and it would be with a different guide. Tamazrat - skipped. Toujane was reduced from a 40 minutes stop to a photo stop from the roadside.
This was a really good 2day trip, with lots of interesting stops and beautiful scenery along the way. From the salt flats, through rock desert and finally into the sand dunes. Our guide Bader looked after us really well, and was full of information about the surrounding areas.
At Chenini most of the guides speak French, but if you need an English tour this should be possible, but you may need to ask.
