It was a quiet Monday so it turned out to be a personal tour, myself and my son, with Joel. Great conversation about the history of Curaçao, what the locals like and where they live, various fruits grown here and what comes from Venezuela. Joel answered all our questions and was knowledgeable about Curaçao. Very friendly as well.

The tour guide was more than a half hour late and not well informed. He provided A lot of inaccurate information that I verified on line. He was nice enough and spoke English but this tour is a complete waste of time and money. I would try to search of Viator when in Curaçao.

Our Colorful History Walking Tour operates on a fixed schedule and our guides are expected to be at the meeting point ahead of departure. A delay of “more than a half hour” is not typical for this product, and we have no operational note indicating a late start of that length on the departure in question. That said, we recognize that busy city conditions and meeting-point confusion can sometimes affect perception of timing, and we regret that the start did not feel smooth from your side. Regarding the commentary: our guides follow a structured route and script built around Curaçao’s major historical periods, landmarks, and cultural context. Online sources often contain simplified, conflicting, or incomplete information—especially around local history—so “verification” can vary depending on what sites are consulted. If there is specific information you believe was inaccurate, we would welcome the detail so we can validate it internally and correct it if needed. We do appreciate your note that the guide was polite and spoke English well. We regret, however, that the overall experience did not meet your expectations, and we will continue working to ensure every guest receives a high-quality, informative walking tour that reflects the richness of Willemstad’s history.

We arrived at the meeting point and could not find our Tour guide. We asked 4 other Tour guides in the same location and none of them were able to help. Unfortunately missed it. Kinda hard to catchh if you are not coming off a cruise ship.

Our guide was present at the designated meeting point at the scheduled time, and other guests on the same departure were able to locate the group and participate in the tour. We understand, however, that if you’re not arriving via a cruise ship, it can sometimes be more confusing to find the exact spot in a busy area with multiple guides and operators around. For this tour, the exact meeting point and the name of our company are clearly listed on the voucher, along with an emergency contact number meant to be used in situations like this when guests are having trouble finding the guide. It seems there may have been a misunderstanding or misconnection at that stage, and we are sorry it resulted in you missing the experience. We appreciate your comment about it being “hard to catch if you are not coming off a cruise ship” and will review our written instructions to see where we can make them even clearer for independent travelers in the future. Our tour guide, Joel, was very friendly and helpful, but could have been a bit more knowledgeable. The tour also ran over by one hour. One the one hand, that was generous of him; on the other, it could impact plans we had after. Overall, it was a good tour.

Lady (spelling?) was an amazing tour guide! She showed us all the local areas, including all the historic buildings. She explained the history of the island, its diverse population and lovely cultural environment. She showed us all the beautiful art and street art . Highly recommend this tour if you want to get a feel for the history and culture of the island! Thank you Lady!

Worth the Walking

This tour was absolutely incredible! You’ll get to see and experience things you might otherwise miss without it. Naomi and Richard were fantastic hosts—so personable, which made the experience even more engaging and fun. I think my Apple Watch was in shock from all the steps I took—LOL! If you’re physically able to walk this tour, do yourself a favor and go for it—it’s totally worth it! The artistry/murals are amazing! Make sure you ask for Naomi, the “cool” auntie!

Leidy was our tour guide and she was simple the best. I had to rebook due to an issue at our hotel so we missed our original tour date/time and Aida’s tours was nice enough to allow us to come the next day. We chose this over the bus tour because you got a chance to stop and actually take in all of the views and history. The art was amazing, we visited local shops. Leidy was very knowledgeable and left us with no questions. The heat was insane but you barely notice in the walk because of all the history and pictures.

We had the best tour guides Niamoni and Didi, they took us through otrabanda and Punda explaining the significance of the buildings, the art and the artists themselves. Naomi (also a talented artist) showed us her wall. It's long so walk with sneakers, but they made for great company and lots of laughs along the way. She showed us all the good food, and hidden gems to take great photos even taking some for us. I can't thank them enough! Btw did this tour Prego as ever and they were so kind and patient, you for sure can as well. Hope to see them when we return love from Trini

What a fantastic tour of Ooterbanda and Punda in Willemstad! Our guide was a local artist who was passionate about Curacao, art and her community. She showed us a combination of art mural, pieces, buildings, history, culture, food and even rum! She was fun, full of energy, and real about the history and culture of Curacao. We spend 2.5hrs exploring and learning about the very cool and fascinating people and places of Willemstad. Our guide was flexible and gave us tips to maneuver the island and get the best out of Curacao. Highly recommended!

Rosie was a joy! She was very informative and delightful. She took her time eith answering questions. And compared to the other walking tours this was more bang for your bucks with seeing both areas...Punda and Otrobanda. A DEFINITE MUST!

Lady and the tour operator were simply wonderful! Our group was running behind in the morning and they graciously waited for us. They showed us the beautiful artsy neighborhoods of the Otrobanda/Willemstad and treated us to local sweets. A must-do tour!

Great intro tour at your own pace in Willemstad. Great for second day there.
