Beware. Alcazar is CLOSED for refurbishment.

Be aware. The Alcazar is CLOSED for refurbishment. Instead they take you to the Medina (entrance 3 euros). The gardens are partially closed. 5 out of the 6 ornamental lakes are drained. Entry to the gardens is free. The company pretend they weren't aware but the building has been fenced off for many weeks and isn't due to reopen this month. Viator also claim not to know. Don't book this trip until the buildings are open.

Can easily do it on your own because the explanation time was about 30 minutes. Better for two group to meet the guide in the same place not in separate places.

We thought Jose was an excellent tour guide. He did not gloss over the Inquisition and this wad important to us because we are Jewish. He was very informative and engaging.

Our visit lasted only 45 min for a $28 CAN fee per person which is quite expensive...not a lot to see in this site and few informations given...better advice to see Vinao palace...so disappointing and expensive visit for the price...

The website said this was an English tour but once I booked the ticket it said Spanish. I contacted to confirm the situation but received no reply. We entered with the tour tickets anyway. The towers closed before we could enter them.

It is a beautiful garden and also there are historical artefacts inside the building. It has a history since the Roman times. The tour guide also had a good sense of humour.

Tour guide was great. He was engaging and gave us a good history lesson! He kept all of our attention for the full hour. Ticket redemption process for the tour was a bit confusing.

It s only possible to tour the Alcazar with a guided tour. I HIGHLY recommend OWAY tours. Our guide, Elena, was extremely knowledgeable and had a genuine enthusiasm for the monument and Cordoba history. The tour was excellent, easy, and very affordable. I would use OWAY again in the future.

Great tour of Alcazar and Mosque

We came by train from Seville to Cordoba and just got to the meeting point with about 30 seconds to spare. Our guide for Alcazar ended up also doing the afternoon Mosque and Jewish Quarter tour, so we stuck together for about 3 hours. English was good, with plenty of information, but not too much. Our only issue was we had to drop out a little early because of a train to Madrid. I would definitely recommend both these tours.

It's totally worth the visit, but I suggest to pay the ticket there, is only 5 euros per person. I paid this tour, got a bit late because I had some trouble finding the entrance and just lost +30€, so I didn't did the tour and had to pay again for the tickets. 5€ per person is very inexpensive for the beauties of this place. Totally recommend.

Gardens of visual splendour

Loved the gardens full of many water fountains ponds and cooling old trees that have stood the test of time. The guide helped us to visualise isabella enjoying this peaceful oasis. Inside the palace is more bare but the ,exposing of past Roman foundations and the well used mistress's bath area were interesting to see. Good to see early before the big crowds and heat.

In vergelijking met Alhambra in Grenada en Alcazar in Sevilla is deze het minst. Veel kleiner en weinig bijzondere details. Hier kun je prima zonder gids doorheen. Daarentegen is de Moskee/kathedraal een MUST visit, wat een imposant gebouw!! En daar is veel meer te zien/te vertellen dus een gids waard.

Es un espacio que merece la pena, sobre todo la zona de los jardines, lo que es el interior tiene sobre todo una serie de mosaicos romanos que están fuera de lugar, pero si son interesantes. La guia era muy buena, lo que ayuda enormemente en la visita
