The guide was knowledgeable, however, we felt rushed when we were in Panama City. While at the city the guide was taking us to shops that he appeared to have the ins with.

Some folks added last minute to the tour. We were as a result delayed by an hour. Overall just an ok trip. Guide was knowledgeable. Could have done without watching the 45 min imax movie since the guide and the viewing platform team give the same info, time would have been bettered spent at the locks seeing ships pass through.

This was a great tour, with a hugely knowledgeable guide who explained the geography, history and biodiversity of Panama. Milton was everything you could hope in a guide.

Full day, Milton our guide was very informative and knowledgeable about Panamanian history throughout the day.
City tour was an excellent walk through the old city of Panama.
Lunch was provided and very good.
The Miraflores locks were very interesting and watched a cargo vessel and 3 x smaller vessels travel through
The film was excellent too

We absolutely loved this tour. They were on time, friendly and very knowledgeable. Our driver was Ivan; he was careful throughout all day long. Our tour guide was Arsenio; he was prompted to answer any and all questions we had. He was extremely nice and my family and I had a great time with him. They also offered us a variety of cold beverages throughout the excursion. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Panama Canal was amazing and all the places we visited. Thank you guys!

Jenny and Misael were wonderful. Jenny was very knowledgeable of the history of the Panama Canal and they were both very kind. The itinerary said no drinks included and they provided a drink and a empana during the trip. Super cool of them.

Jenny, our tour guide, was lovely. That's really the most positive thing I can say about our experience. We were very late leaving, as the staff insisted that we wait for people who didn't show up. This meant that when we arrived at the very busy Panama City, we were only given about 20 minutes to disembark and find a spot for lunch (on our own, not part of the tour). We were told to absolutely (!!!) be back to the meeting spot on time, which we all were, and then stood and waited for 20 minutes for Jenny and the people who had chosen to go on her walking tour - time we could have used to actually see the area or sit down to eat. The Miraflores locks area was extremely busy, and we stood in line a long time to purchase our tickets - something that could have been done ahead of time giving us extra time to explore the area. Again, Jenny was delightful - friendly, informative, and lots of fun - but the entire trip felt very disorganized and rushed.

We had an amazing day. Milton our guide and Brian our driver were great. We were able to see the new locks, the old locks, modern Panama City & old Panama City. We signed up for an English speaking tour & it ended up being bilingual. Milton did an amazing job taking care of both the English & Spanish speaking in our group. We also had 18 in our group which was not a problem, lovely group of people. We would definitely do this tour again. I do not like being on a bus with 50 people. You can do & see more with a smaller group. Viator has never let me down.

As a cruise passenger, all of our prior excursions on this trip were through the cruise line, so we had a lot to compare with this experience.
Jenny was our tour guide and she is fantastic. Jenny is knowledgeable and has a passion for her country. When visiting the Panama Canal it is extremely important to have an expert guide because it is so busy. Jenny is that person. My wife, kids and I all agree this tour was A+

She led our tour with enthusiasm and creativity, adjusting plans on the fly to show us the best sites (e.g., replacing Miraflores with Aguaclara when the canal schedule showed that we would see no ships passing through the former) and to respond to the group's desires. This was an amazing experience. A visit to the Panama Canal to see ships passing through accompanied by an in-depth & highly interesting commentary from Milton ( our awesome guide!)
Then on to Panama City to experience both the new city & the old town
It’s a long day with about 3 hours+ travelling but thoroughly worth it
Driver Brian & Guide Milton were superb & could not have done it e more to give us a great day & ensure we got the most out of the time - thoroughly recommended

An excellent excursion, our host Jeny went out of her way to make sure we saw a ship go through the canal and extended our excursion by 2 hours to accommodate this. Jeny was knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. The trip contained everything we needed and more, would definitely recommend.

Organization could have been better. Specifics about meeting time and directions to the meeting location were sent a day or two before the tour; on a cruise, not everyone has WiFi. We arrived at 9:15, based on the original information sent. We did not leave until 10:15. We went to Aguaclara locks instead of Miroflores (POI). Milton was an excellent guide. Too much time was spent at the locks, with no free time in Panama City.

Our guide, Arcenio, did meet us on time. But he immediately informed us that we would not be going to the Mira Flores locks or Panamá City due to an accident on the highway. I was stunned, as this was what our tour was and what we paid for. He said he didn't think we'd make it back to the ship in time. We asked about the locks in Colon and he said we could go there (Agua Clara). While there I saw a group from our ship and asked the guide if they were going to Panama city. He said yes and that there was plenty of time. So we told our guide that is what we wanted to do. This was a private tour, and marketed as flexible. We watched a ship go through the locks and told him we didn't need to go to the other side, we'd rather go to Panama city. The timing was not well done with the locks, and we didn't have much time in Panama city, but that's ok, we still wanted the experience, that was the whole point. I'm not sure why he wanted us to just do the Agua Clara locks. He was knowledgeable enough, but used his own personal vehicle for the tour. No markings or anything "professional" on it. I guess this is ok for a private tour, just unexpected. Since we thought we were going to miss out on one of the main reasons of our tour, I would not book with this company again. We are happy he agreed to take us, but this is what we booked /paid for, we shouldn't have had to negotiate it.

Our tour guy Milton was outstanding. This young man. The info he gave us was unreal. What an intelligent person. You could understand everything he said. He always put us first. Panama canal. Just seeing how everything worked was Great. The tour of the city. He took us around and gave us all the history on everything. I would recommend and ask for Milton

Although our tour guide, Jeny, was delightful, this tour was very disorganized and disappointing. We had to have tickets for the imax theater and for viewing the locks, which was what we all came for. Instead of having those tickets purchased ahead of time, we had to waste time going to the viewing area, purchasing tickets, then continuing on to the city part of the tour before returning to the Miraflores viewing area! We had no time to get lunch unless we chose to miss part of the city tour, and since we had 3 diabetics in our group, that was not an option. So, we missed a good part of the walking tour. Then, we returned to Miraflores and due to time restraints, we were unable to see the informational imax presentation! This tour should have been the highlight of our trip, but it fell short of what we expected by A LOT! My husband and I have used Viatar before and found the tours to be wonderful. Last summer we had a group of 15 family members on a tour in Italy, and it was very organized and did not disappoint. That is what we expected on this tour in Colon, but I'm sorry to say that not only did we miss half of the tour that we paid for, but the remaining tour was disappointing.

The bus seats were too small to sit two adult persons making the trip to Panama City uncomfortable. The canal was the best parto of the trip.

Tour itself if town and the locks was good, but your guide hardly gave any information, low volume speaking, too strong of an accent, hard to understand what little he said. No time for food or even brief shipping at a stand.
