So, the tickets are accurate, the train is on time, the e-ticket works for the controllers and no need to print it out. The only thing is the agency shares the e-ticket on the night before, i.e. 5-6 hours before the train which, having booked from abroad, is quite stressful. I asked the agency why but they didn’t quite explain the reason. The hotels say they receive the train tickets 2-3 days beforehand. Plus, there is no way of knowing which class you’re traveling. From what I’ve gathered, the train is not big, there’s two carriages for each class, and the seats number are printed above the seats. Still, even though I was traveling with your reserved seat which is mentioned in the e-ticket, I was still recommended to allocate my seat swiftly so that I didn’t have to argue with some local auntie over my assigned seat. I could find my seat right away though and there was no battle over other seats in the carriage, so maybe the advice was just an extra safety measure. I just wish I learned all this information from the agency and not from random people or the hotel staff. Otherwise, all is good with the ticket.
