From start to finish, this tour was an unforgettable experience, made even better by our amazing guide, Simon. He went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome, comfortable, and fully immersed in the sights and stories of the city. We loved the scenic drive around Lyttelton Harbour, taking in breathtaking coastal views. One of my favorite unexpected moments was enjoying a coffee at the historic Sign of the Kiwi Café, where we soaked in the views and atmosphere. As we explored key landmarks, including the fascinating Red Zone, which tells the story of the city’s resilience after the earthquake, we gained incredible insights into Christchurch’s past and present. We even popped over to Sumner Beach, where we explored the charming town and its historic sites. Fantastic day in Christchurch

Our second day in New Zealand was to Christchurch, and I have to say, this is one of the most beautiful stops on our journey. Our tour guide, Simon, from Green Kiwi Tours, gave us the royal treatment. From stunning views of the harbor and surrounding areas, to the carefully manicured botanical gardens, we were delighted with each stop. Simon was quick to adapt to our wants and needs and took us to a vibrant downtown market where we feasted on meat pies and chips for lunch. We capped off our journey by punting along the Avon river, a relaxing boat ride accompanied by a tour guide who guided us up and down the river, using a long pole, Venetian style. I highly recommend Green Kiwi Tours and Simon, the master tour guide! You won’t be disappointed.
