Scary Tour

The first tour guide met us at the ship along with another couple and drive us 1/2 way to Marrakesh. He then transferred us to a tour guide with a beat up van who did not speak any English. We then drove an hour beyond Marrakesh to the camel ride. We were in the middle of nowhere. No one spoke English. However, they were friendly and put us in Berber outfits and sent on a 1 1/2 mile camel ride to where we had lunch. The lunch in a tent was good. We did not feel comfortable being way out in the desert with people we could not communicate with. It took us out of our comfort zone. Which is not that easy to do for us. Later on the driver was driving in a spirited manner to get us back to the ship in crazy rush hour traffic. We live in S. Florida and know what crazy traffic is! He finally found an entrance to the port and dropped us off. Unfortunately it was the wrong gate and we had to walk over a mile back to ship. Fortunately, we made it on time. We expected a better coordinated tour with a guide that could actually tell us what we were seeing and to explain the culture of Morroco.
