I could write a book, but I won’t! Came to Cape Town with a large group. Robben Island was part of our tour package that we pre-booked and paid for. My husband was so looking forward to visiting Mandela’s cell. The night before we were told our tour was cancelled because of the weather. That morning I got online and it was sold out everywhere until I found Faz! She confirmed our tickets, picked us up, she is a God send! On our way to the boat she gave us so much history! She is a wealth of knowledge. She ended the evening by taking us to this great restaurant. She knows everyone as she is so friendly. She even gave us gifts for our children. We loved her so much that we booked her again to take us around the next day. Throughout the tour she took candid pictures and videos of my husband and me. She felt like family, she’s the best!

I had an unexpected extra day in Cape Town and decided to visit Robben Island. Faziela was the only one able to get a ticket for the next day. She was very efficient and easy to communicate with. I definitely recommend her!

I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Cape Town. Robben Island isn't exactly a fun place to visit, but I think it's an important place to visit. There is a lot of history on Robben Island. I learned quite a bit from the guides, one of whom was a political prison on the island during Apartheid. We also stopped at a few other fun locations during the day, as well, which was a fun surprise. These are places I never would have known about on my own.

Robbed Island Tour

Our visit to Robben Island was well worth the time and money we spent. Our pickup by Faziela was right on time and she was a lovely lady. As we drove to the ferry to the island she gave us information about what we were seeing. Faziela dropped us off at the ferry dock and escorted us to the correct place to get on and was ready to drop us off at our hotel. Very informative mini tour. The tour guides at RI were very knowledgeable about all that went on in the past as they had once been prisoners themselves. Much information was given about the most famous inmates including Nelson Mandela. The tour left us with a much clearer understanding of what he endured and the importance of his resistance to the government of South Africa. He is such a hero.
