If you want to experience the true spirit of the Mekong, Phong is the perfect guide! With passion and warmth, he took us through the floating markets of Cai Rang and Phong Dien, immersing us in local flavors and daily life. The visit to the noodle factory was unforgettabl! We watched the traditional process and tasted incredibly fresh noodles. And the fruit? We enjoyed mango and pineapple, freshly picked, sweet, and juicy. I was expecting to see more of the Mekong and the floating markets, its why i booked the tour. We only saw 1 when there's 7 or 8 good ones to see. To spend time seeing 2 fish farms instead of what the cruise is called was quite disappointing. It felt like we were doing odd stuff to just fill in the hours. The guide was obliging.

We really sorry about your experience. The first time, you booked the tour depart at Can Tho city (But you are staying Ho Chi Minh, We explained about your mistook about Pickup Point). You will must pay additional fee if you are staying in HCM, But we have ready full refund if you did not want to take. Besides, we have gaven to you the full day tour depart from Ho Chi Minh and including visit Cai Rang floating market, the tour was more expensive than BUT we offered the same price, And both of you accepted. A must tour when you visit Vietnam

First of all, thank you so much to our tour guide An, our boat driver, and Khoi who drove us from HCM to the floating market! They were all so lovely! An provided us with lots of information as she is one of the people who grew up in the floating market. Hearing her stories was very interesting. We got to visit Phuong Dien floating market which was a small market but we love going to places that aren’t too popular as tourists attractions so this was exactly what we wanted to experience. Next we headed to Cai Rang floating market by boat (on hour ride? Might be tough for those who get sick on transportation) this market was very crowded by trading boats and we got to see people washing clothes and living on the boats, great experience. Next we went to a noodles factory and coconut candy factory. We got to experience noodle making. Then we went to see local farms and An explained to us what each plant is, she is so informative! Lastly we cruised along the Mekong delta and what I loved about this part is that we were taken to an area with no other tourist! Feels so special because all the photos I’ve seen on social media #mekongdelta was crowded by tourists. A suggested if we want to go and see trading in floating markets around lunch, but we were already super happy with our experience and decided to go back to our hotel. We got lots more than mentioned in the itinerary, such a wonderful tour. We stayed in HCM so we paid an extra 2,000,000vnd on the day for a car ride from the hotel in HCM. We departed at 2:30am which was early but definitely worth waking up early! (Plus the car is super comfortable enough to sleep)

Fascinating Trip along the Mekong Delta

Lovely trip along the Mekong Delta River, fascinating to see another way of life. It's quite a journey to get to the Phong Dien floating market but its great to watch the sunrise and have breakfast amongst the local traders. On the return leg you get to see the Cia Rang floating market. This is away of life that is slowly diminishing. You should see before it disappears. Our tour guide Nhu Y Le was was fulll local information along the tour. Would highly recommend.

The guide is very lovely and she really did her best for us to have an amazing moment, she took a lot of pictures for us and shared many information. She is a very good guide. The boat and the driver were also excellent. The breakfast on the boat is a nice experience. Nice to discover how to cut rice noddles and cocoa farm. The bad point of the experience is not made by the tour but the Mekong by itself… it’s extremely polluted, you will not see fish but plastic floating everywhere. It was very heartbreaking to see that much pollution. We saw a man throwing fish in the river, then a plastic bag and the big plastic jar where the fish were… Extremely sad to see how people are not aware of the impact of this behaviour. Not the tour fault but we didn’t have any pleasure to see this disaster. Maybe a « bad » point for the tour has been to put the elderly at the back of the boat, my mom struggled to go on top of the two bench before she could reach her seat many times during the tour.

Floating markets - go early and choose a smaller boat to experience your outing

Interaction with the floating market vendors was most special. They made us coffee, a delicious Vietnamese soup and we bought some great banana chips. Appreciated our guide Anh and her boat driver for making this day a most memorable one. We saw both floating markets, toured the back canals and saw people going about their everyday life, visited a rice noodle factory and on our way back, thanks to our guide, we were able to embark and visit three floating boats and share some fruit with them while sitting on a mat. A special day indeed but recommend you start early. We left at 4:50 am.

We loved our tour of the Mekong Delta floating markets. While it was a very early pick-up, it was worth it as we got to see the sunrise from the boat. The floating market was better than imagined and the Phong Dien market was exactly what we wanted to experience, we even got to eat a hu tieu breakfast that was delicious on our boat! A treat at the end was to visit a fruit farm and experience the fresh fruit of the region. Truly an experience not to be missed!

Visit to two floating markets, a noodle factory (disappointing not to see people working there, but simply a store to sell noodles).The activity is announced for 7 hours but in reality you can count on 5 hours. On the boat (6 people) it was very difficult to hear the guide's comments, unfortunately. In summary, your hotel will offer you essentially the same tour but less expensive which could be more interesting for you.

Our trip was actually about 7 hours (including free hotel pick up and drop off time) Your hotel is very far from the center, but it is close to Phong Dien Floating Market (first attraction), so it took us nearly 1 hour to pick you up at your hotel. We did not realise that to get to the Delta from central Saigon took so long and was soo expensive when we booked the trip. It added another 2million vnd ie over 50 percent to the cost . The company were late picking us up at their suggested time of 2.45am and so we only made the floating market for about 10 mins and missed the boat ride to get there, as they took us most of the way by car to try and remedy the situation. It took nearly 7 and a half hours driving, although we had a nice , non English speaking driver. The loo stop was very basic , worst in 3 weeks of travelling in Vietnam. We are really after a refund of some type

We have a public note: If you are staying in Ho Chi Minh city, there will be an additional transfer fee, please contact us before booking the tour. - When you have booked the tour, we will also quickly inform you that the pick-up in HCM is 1,900,000 VND (HCMC to Can Tho is 170km, 2-way transfer by car). - After many options you have agreed to a pick up time of 2:45 am. - However, 6 hours and 30 minutes before departure time, i.e. 7:43 p.m., you sent a message (whatsapp) asking to cancel the shuttle service because you found a Taxi for 1,800,000 VND and made an appointment with us at the pick-up point. meet. We happily accepted and provided the meeting point information as well as the guide's phone number. - But at 2:45 a.m. (We were sleeping), you sent us a text message and asked us to pick you up at the hotel (Ho Chi Minh). Our tour guide received the information and called us, and we called the car to pick you up in 15 minutes, even though we were picking up other guests. - We have handled many issues but always want to bring the best experience to our customers. No matter what the reason, we organized the trip very well but maybe you two were not satisfied. for many reasons. - Many customers have chosen to start their trip from Ho Chi Minh City to avoid having to stay overnight in the Mekong. But we also request our guests contact us to advance. Thank you so much.

Unbelievably good tour, do early morning its worth it

Honestly the greatest tour I've ever been on. We did the private tour with Ms Trinh who knows all about the local area and environment. Highly recommend this, especially the early morning start as it is worth it for the 6:30am breakfast on the floating markets. Ms Trinh was super attentive and we felt like the tour gave us more than what we paid for. We really loved the experience especially because everything felt really local and authentic. The breakfast was unreal!

Non-touristy experience on the Mekong Delta

We were picked up at 4:20 am at our hotel in order to visit the Phong Điền floating market early in the morning. It took a 2 hour boat drive to get there. It's a small floating market with approx 10 boats of local people, where you are the only tourist and you have a delicious noodle soup breakfast. Afterwards we visited a local dragonfruit farm as well as a rice noodle factory. As a last stop, we visited the Cái Răng floating market on our way back. Our tour guide Trinh was wonderful. She was very friendly, excited and provided us with lots of information. It was sometimes difficult to understand her due to the noise of the boat engine, but we could always ask to repeat what she said. Additionally, Trinh arranged all buying and trading, included in the tour package, so that you don't need to feel obliged to buy stuff on the markets. Overall, a very non-touristy experience which was well worth waking up early for!

Our tour guide Nhu was very informative and helpful. Great knowledge of the History of the Meekong River and surrounding areas. Nhu even provided us with sweet snacks along the trip.
