Definitely take the Tango lessons before the show! So fun! And Candela and Fabrizio were our instructors and they did an amazing job. They also performed in the show and were great dancers! If I had to give an criticism, the food was only OK. The servers were great but out of all the places we've eaten in Buenos Aires, this one fell short. I would still very much recommend this experience though!

The tango lesson before the dinner was the best, very interactive and amazing.
The platea dinner was good but the waiver missed our order so we need to wait for a while to receive our entres and main plate.
The chair are not very confortable for dinner and more less to see the tango show.
The tango show is excellent for dancers and duration

Entertaining show with brilliant tango,s. We had VIP tickets so had good seats. Good food with excellent steak. Transfer was on time and efficient.

The tango show itself is amazing. The tour operator picked me up 1 hour late. I encourage you to see the show at Tango Porteño but cannot recommend this tour company .

Both the dinner and tango dancing performances were excellent. A comfortable shuttle easily picked up my family and I from our hotel to the theater and back. We were impressed with the delicious 3 course meal, table service, dancing and live music. The experience was the highlight of our family's visit to Buenos Aires and I highly recommend this show.

The show is quite comprehensive with excellent dancers and a singer. It is at least 2 hours. Not a place for the kids. Food is excellent. Very crowded with a 900 seat capacity.

Doing the whole experience, including the dance lesson, dinner and show was worth every penny. The dance instructors were phenomenal with the whole family having a great time and learning enough of the tango to be able to 'dance' when we get home. The show was incredible and extra fun to see our instructors performing.

Tango Porteno is a must-do activity while in Buenos Aires. Those having dinner arrive 8ish and the 1.5 hour show starts at 10pm. The dancing, music, and singing where simply spectacular. You will make it back to your hotel around midnight. We opted for the VIP dinner option with transportation and it was well worth it. Attendees were mostly adults and older kids, but we did see a few younger kids. Everyone was dressed nicely.

We took the optional dance lesson. It turned out to be taught
by two of the dancers who were later featured in the show. What a treat. The venue glitzy outside and 1920’s inside-very cool. We had very good seats-up above and near the back. Dinner was very good. The show starts at 10 and lasted 1.5 hours. There was a magician at about 9:15. We loved the entire evening.

If you are in BA, you must go see a Tango show and this a great one to see! The hall/theatre was beautiful. We had the dinner and it was a three course meal. Recommend the bife de chorizo. Very delicious. We only had 2 options of wine to chose from. Also it’s assigned sitting so you actually sit right next to other people if it’s only 2 of you and you cannot change your seat. The show the dancers were spectacular. So much talent showcased, there was never a dull

This was so much fun! We basically had a private class with wonderful instructors, where we learned a short routine. They gave us snacks, and recorded our dancing so we could show it off to our friends on social media. The dinner and show was fun too! Definitely recommend, especially for the price.

We took the lesson + show + dinner option.
We are beginners after taking some lessons and classes before coming to Buenos Aires, and the class was appropriate for both complete beginners and slightly more advanced people. I wouldn't take it if really advanced as you might end up with complete beginners.
The show itself was excellent, with singing, impressive dancing, and an intermission with a gaucho-style drums and boleadoras show. We were a bit far in this large theater but could still see very well.
The meal was good, with a salad, a steak or pork chop, and dessert, as well as unlimited wine.
Plan to have some cash to leave a tip. The staff was a bit heavy-handed about that.
Great experience altogether, even though it is obviously rather touristy.

The tango show was very good, would recommend. I don’t understand Spanish and all the songs were sung in that language, but i could still feel the emotion. The dancers were excellent and the production was very well done. It didn’t seem ‘spontaneous’ and everything was staged, so maybe it wasn’t the most authentic, but it was a very good show nevertheless. Would recommend.
We didn’t opt for the dinner so our seating was very far back which was a bit irritating as everyones heads were in the way, but there was no obstruction such as pillars etc. They told us to arrive by 9:30 and we came at 9:20; ideally should have come by 9:45 pm since the show started at 10. I had thought that coming earlier meant a better spot, but I don’t think that was the case since others were placed in front on different tables when they came later.

Somehow they got my booking but not that we were to be picked up so after an hour and half waiting we had to pay for taxi and missed the lesson 🙃 then we had to eat our dinner in the dark when we arrived. The show was great but then we had to find our own way to the hotel even though the manager tried to put us on a shuttle twice!!

The show and dinner were perfect. Wish I could dance. The only problem was pickup. We had paid for transportation and it turns out that the venue was across the street from the hotel. When no one showed up we walked 5min

It was our first time attending a Tango show and it just wasn’t for us. It was okay but far from spectacular. It reminded me of Charlie Chaplin with the music. We opted for the pick up.service and they arrived almost 45 minutes early to pick us up. We raced to get to the hotel where we were quick to arrive.

Great dancers and musicians, terrible service otherwise. When booking the no-dinner option you are seated up on a balcony with a fence that takes up half the view of the stage. There was a fan blowing so hard everyone up there was freezing and the people working there were unhelpful and rude. It was not possible to buy anything but water up there. A shame with such great dancers and show, to have the circumstances ruin it.

Be adventurous. Take the Tango lesson prior to the dinner and show. Our instructors were patient and had us doing the basic Tango in no time. The food, wine and show were won’t. Tango Porteno is a must in Buenos Aires.

VIP option is a SCAM! We paid $240 per person for dinner/show/transportation with guaranteed seating in the first 3 rows. They seated us in the 10th row where people sitting next to us paid $80 for the same program! We were overcharged by $160 per person!!!!
When I approached them for a refund, I got no support from Viator and no replies from the tour company.
Food/wine was as described and the show was nice. The theatre is a large place and you can literally save lots of money and book directly from Tango Porteno and just go for the show.
Based on the pricing scam, I won't be signing up with Viator any more and will cancel my future bookings.
