Itinerary
Once the catamaran pulls up to the dock at your hotel, step aboard and meet your hostess. Find a sunbed and sit back to enjoy the ride while your hostess makes sure you are comfortable. Watch as your captain hoists the sails, cuts the engine, and the boat glides soundlessly out into the waters surrounding Bora Bora.
Listen to chill music and dig into the provided snacks. Your captain will find the perfect spot to watch the sunset over Otemanu Mountain, during which you can sip a glass of sparkling wine.
Conclude the tour back at your hotel's dock.

Amazing experience. Thelma and Alex, our captain and first mate were so friendly, helpful and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make this a memorable experience. We had a double rainbow after a short rain and the final sunset was beautiful. Drinks and snacks were great.

We were picked up alongside two other couples and taken to the hotel where the catamaran is moored. As we arrived at the jetty we watched two couples staying in this hotel being led onto the boat and settled onto the two front facing small sofas. By the time we boarded with the other two couples, both infant of us as we boarded, one couple took the side facing sofa on t he left the other on the right. That left us the seating area behind the bar. There was no suggestion that we move around to make it a similar experience for us all. When we got to the sunset the crew took photographs but before the sun actually set - the reason we had booked - we didn’t want the Instagram photos but the actual experience - the catamaran had turned around and was heading back.
This tour was to celebrate a very special birthday and it was simply a mistake to book it. Not worth the money and badly organised and last to board gets the worst experience.
Find something cheaper as this isn’t what it says on the tin. Unless of course you are staying in the hotel where the catamaran is. Then it’s worth every penny. It looked amazing for the two couples at the front of the catamaran.
They got that once in a lifetime experience.
We travel the world and hesitate before leaving poor reviews but this was so disappointing that we feel we have no CG over but to warn others.

We had a nice experience as there were only 2 other couples and it is a large, luxurious catamaran. The crew were great. The first mate did a great job and answering our questions and making sure we were comfortable. The do provide beer and some kind of rum punch in addition to other non-alcoholic beverages. There were minimal snacks. The price seems a bit high but then again a cheeseburger in Bora Bora is $42.

We were picked up in a skiff and transferred to the catamaran. It was a beautiful boat with plenty of room for our group. The captain and first mate were both excellent. They gave lots of great insight into the history of and local lifestyle in the area. The sun was hidden by clouds but we still had a great trip.

Amazing views and a wonderful sunset! We had beautiful weather and such a great time sailing around. Captain Dylan and Jane were awesome—super friendly and welcoming. The only downside was the logistics. We were staying at the Conrad and were picked up to be taken to the St. Regis where the catamaran is docked, but we weren’t informed there would be two additional pickups on a small boat about an hour before the actual excursion start time. Once at the catamaran, we also had to wait while four other guests were picked up at separate hotels. After the sail, we waited again at the St. Regis while other guests were dropped off, and then had to take a long boat ride back to our hotel in the dark, going all the way around the island. What was listed as a 2-hour excursion ended up being closer to 4 hours.

This was a very relaxing experience. We had our kids with us age 13 and 17 and they also enjoyed it. Nice drinks and snacks, relaxed music and amazing views. The team was so helpful and friendly.

Had a good trip. Weather was great. Captain and crew were nice and friendly. Very relaxing. Laid on the front netting with my wife + the soft padded lounge area up front. They gave us towels for the back of our heads for comfort. Sunset was beautiful. Snacks were fresh sliced mango’s which were delicious and some chips. Had a few rum punches and they had other choices as well. Only slight drawback was the catamaran was located at the St. Regis and we were staying at the Westin. Picked up in a smaller boat with limited seating and I sat on the boats outer inflatable section. It went pretty fast and was a bit bumpy, but no biggie. Could be an issue for older people, or folks that are heavyset or out of shape. The ride only took about 3 minutes to get to the Catamaran.

This was our favorite excursion! The boat was beautiful and comfortable and the crew was wonderful, so friendly and helpful. The snorkeling was terrific and the floating bar was cool. I would highly recommend this excursion.

Beautiful boat with a amazing all female crew that found the wind a sailed us around the southern tip of Bora Bora for an amazing sunset. Fantastic trip! Kids loved having an opportunity to steer the boat!

We enjoyed the sunset catamaran! Be aware it’s basically a giant net that you pay on comfy pads on. They had drinks and chips and it was a gorgeous view. We had the two girl boat captains and they were great! We felt confident with them and enjoyed their company! We saw some rays on our ride. It’s pricey, but a once in a lifetime trip!

Pros: BEAUTIFUL boat and super friendly crew.
Cons: Did not match the description when booking. No sparkling wine was served. 13 people were booked when it advertised a max of 8. This made the front seating space feel a bit crowded. The cruise itself was lack luster. Felt like we didn’t travel very far and then just sat floating in circles. Headed back promptly at sunset with little to no communication from the captain. Very expensive for what you got. Much better excursions available. Would not recommend for the price.

Pretty disappointing experience. Surprised to see that this wasn’t noted on the description otherwise we would not have booked. We were coming from a separate hotel that the boat was docked so we were picked up in a little speed boat that went SO fast and pretty much soaked us before we got on the main catamaran. It was also weird that I was instructed to sit separately from my husband. The catamaran ride was super windy and not enjoyable. I wish the tour operators warned that the wind would greatly impact the experience otherwise I would have canceled. Snacks were potato chips and some fruit and beverage options were beer/ rum / two types of fruit juice. On the way back, the speed boat was going so fast and I couldn’t wait for this to be over.
The views of the mountain were nice but you can get those views doing any other excursion.

Crew was so friendly and welcoming. Tour was the perfect length and the boat was stunning. We had amazing weather and the sailing was so fun, we even got to steer the boat ourselves (with close monitoring of course), Highly recommend sailing with this all female crew!

My husband and I were on our honeymoon and we loved the sunset cruise. We were picked up by Thelma in a speed boat, which was a total blast, then taken to the cat. The boat was gorgeous and Alex, the first mate, took great care of us. She sat and chatted with each couple and got served homemade local rum punch that was dangerously delicious! The sunset was stunning and it was a perfect evening. A perfect way to kick off our honeymoon, Thelma and Alex took great care of us and I loved that it was female run!!

A beautiful catamaran in a gorgeous location. The staff and crew were amazing and we enjoyed every minute of our relaxing and spectacular voyage! We were picked up directly from our hotel and ferried by a small boat to the catamaran where we met other guests and our crew for our 2+ hour sunset sailing cruise. A must do activity in Bora Bora if you love the water!

From the time we arrived to the time we were dropped off it was amazing service and experience. Thelma our captain was true sailor with years of experience and was so so wonderful. Cammy our first mate was just as wonderful and great at sailing and attending to our every need. I can’t say enough about them. I am very glad we booked the sunset sail.

The crew was great! Super attentive and fun, knowledgeable of the islands and sailing. It was a wonderful evening on the water and the sun cooperated with a lovely sunset. The speed boat came to pick us up from our resort to take us to the St. Regis to take the catamaran and that was lots of fun too!

The boat is beautiful and well maintained. We saw an Eagle Ray, Sting Ray, and local fish. The guides were kind and shared some great information about the island. Definitely a nice romantic trip. A bonus that they only allow 8 people per trip!

We enjoyed ourselves so much on this sunset cruise aboard the new and comfortable Vitamin Sea II. The Captain, Thelma, and First Mate, Camille were extremely knowledgeable and couldn't do enough to ensure we had a great time. They pointed sea life and explained a lot about Bora Bora. If I return to Bora Bora, I would do this again and again. It was breathtakingly beautiful and fun.

We were so excited to go on this sunset sail. I was with my 80 year old parents. It is VERY hard to get them in the low dingy that picks you up. It is also hard to get them off. I didn't realize that the catamaran didn't have a bathroom or any covered space. I have been on a lot of catamaran's and there was no shade! We left before the sun actually set and only half of the boat could see any of it because of the sails. They should have turned the boat so everyone could see. They also didn't offer any water or drinks until we arrived at the destination to see the sunset which was almost an hour into the ride. IT WAS SO HOT AND NO WATER! Not ok. Very anti-climactic when you leave before the sunset. Very expensive ride for what it was.

The staff was extremely kind, but this was not the sunset sail we were expecting. Rough ride on dingy boat out to sailboat which took a while going all the way around the island to get to the catamaran and we waited a long time to get back on dingy boat and get back to our hotel. The catamaran does not have seats, it has nets you lay on. Again, the staff could not have been more lovely and welcoming it was just not the experience we were hoping for in a sunset sail

Our guides were amazing. I can’t recall their names but the female guide took the time to get to know us and we had great conversation. She also took the most amazing pictures of us. They served us drinks and snacks and made sure we had a beautiful experience. I really can’t say enough about this trip. If you are on the fence about this sunset cruise, do it! You will not regret it! It was the perfect way to end our trip.
