Obviously, Valencia is lovely and overall, the trip was worth it. One surprising thing was how many extra pick-up locations we had and how long we waited for people to board the coach in some of them. The entire pick-up route took over 1.5 hours, which, if you add the 2 hours of transfer to Valencia, add up to a nearly 4-hour trip. The toilet on the coach is closed and there are no scheduled pee breaks. What’s shocking is the reaction of the guide to toilet break requests. I was basically intimidated into holding it in („We are leaving now, get back to your seat, there’s no toilet on the coach and no toilet breaks until Valencia). Only after two other people made similar request did we stop somewhere random and told to use the facilities in a bar, but only if we buy something there. About half the bus ran for the toilets. It seems to me that if the bus company can stop off at 7 different locations to pick people up, it can also organise a 10-minute scheduled pee break somewhere tried and tested halfway through the trip.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Our pickup run from start to finish is 1 hour, this may be exended if there are roadworks, traffic problems or delays in people getting on the coach and finding their seats. It is a legal requirement here to remain seated at all times, with your seatbelt fastened while the vehicle is in motion and so the toilet facilities on board are not to be used. To arrange a 10 minute stop as you state, actually takes some 25-30 minutes real time, by the time passengers have got on and off the coach, entered the service etc. It is not just a 10 minute quick break as you state. That then puts an additional 30 minutes on to what is already a long day. All passengers making such a long journey should not be surprised by the length of the journey or the fact we collect other passengers, but indeed ensure that they are prepared for the journey ahead. Please consider if a potential long journey is for you and if you are a person who needs a regular "pee break" you may want to ask at the time of booking, if this is considered by the excursion company.

Guide both València tour guide and overall guide for the day were excellent and gave the details in a controlled and calming way.
Well organised day trip to Valencia and well worth the extra 10 euros to do the one hour walking tour of the city.
Great prompt trip from our hotel to central Valencia. We'd made our own bookings for the day trip, but guide was helpful where to pick us up to maximise our time. 5hrs in Valencia to express which was enough in the August heat
My 2 nd trip to Valencia great and not expensive day out. Have two trips when your their for you, one is a historical talking tour, the other is a bus trip to Valencia football ⚽️ stadium with guided tour
Informative , beautiful and historical buildings cobbled streets. . A good day to explore and learn thieir way of life.
Good pickup , comfortable coach and great guide. The cost of the 10 hour tour was very similar to a service bus. I would highly recommend the tour as a great way to see Valencia

Kathy is a splended tourguide who made our day even more enjoyable and the long bus ride also. The walking tour was also well organized and very professional.
Old town Valencia was very nice & we chose to do it under our own steam.
It says it is 1 hour 45 mins, but is actually nearer 5 in total with pick ups/drop offs.
The company who we went with had a toilet on board but was locked & we were told it was their policy not to use it. Ended up someone asked to stop & then half the bus got off at a petrol station & the guide told them to be quick or try & hold it!!!
Pickup was very efficient and smooth. Arrived to Valencia within a couple of hours and took the walking tour. It was very hot on the day, that couldn't be helped but it was the only downside to making it more enjoyable. We decided to do our own thing for the afternoon though we could have picked from either two excursions.
Valencia is a beautiful city and worth seeing however the day was very hot so not a lot of sightseeing could be done and the would be ideal for a city break to have more time to explore as it's a big city.
Pickup in the evening was no issue, took about 2.30hr to get back into Benidorm.
The guides were very friendly and knowledgeable.
Right from the start,Lisa was an excellent tour guide ,and driver top class Antonio.lisa knew her information on Valencia,we toured round Valencia,and my partner was amazed at some of the buildings,but was truly amazed at the he inside of the churches.
This tour was a very good tour,recommend tour company ,will be going on other tours with them.
Great trip. Guide tour KATHY was great. But could not see much in the 5 hours we got during the stay. Overall I recommend taken the tour but go around by yourself to enter the church , market and other areas. May come back for a week to see the real Valencia.
Guide Louisa and driver Louis was amazing. The tourguide in valencia was so good to. Got to see relevant places, but could have used more time

The whole trip was great. Valencia is so much nicer than Benidorm. It’s nice to get away from there. I learnt some history about the city, walked around old town, saw the stadium, walked along the beautiful park to the oceanographic. Even kayaked at the art center.

No memorable part it was awful coach was over half hour late stuck in coach for 2.5 hours .. arranged a tour that was shocking couldn’t hear the tour guide .. on way back took over 3 hours no fault of the company due to a fire but the coaches gear box was giving up and the journey was far too long

We are sorry that you were inconvenienced but moreover hope that no one was hurt in the traffic fire that caused the delay! We were picked up at our hotel and welcomed by Cathy our lovely tour guide! She made the whole day so interesting and gave us a real taste of Valencia. We loved the linear park created out of the river that used to flow thru the city. We had a memorable walking tour of the old town seeing the museum of the historic Silk Market, the Catheral where we listened to the boys choir accompanying the Mass. (Just happened to be there at the right moment!) We visited the oldest Food Market in Europe where we bought a delicious lunch very cheap! Then the tour took us to The Arts and Sciences specular architectural buildings and although we didn't have time to go into any of them we enjoyed the ambience in the park admiring them from the outside. Some people opted for additional tours of the Oceanographic exhibition of varied sealife but we went instead to a stadium to see the home of Valencia's beloved Football team. Back to Benidorm safely then in our comfortable coach in 1.75 hrs. All in all the best 10hrs sightseeing in a long time!

Highly recommended. Pick up was very prompt, Cathy, our guide was friendly and informative. We chose to do the walking tour and again the guide was very professional. Our free time in the afternoon we chose to revisit some of the places the guide had shown us in the morning and if course sample the paella valenciana.

Had a great day in Valencia. The reason I’ve down rated is because of confusion over pick up points. I was led to believe we would be picked up near our accommodation when in fact it was a 20 minute walk to what we were told was the nearest pick up point. Only to then be brought back in the coach to another pick up point literally round the corner.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review. I'm sorry if there had been some confusion regarding your pickup point. Sadly you made your reservation with Viator who will only recognise pickups from certain hotels and yet our we have over 20 different pickup points available but the majority are at bus stops and other easily identifiable places that Viator won't allow. We have raised this with them on many occasions and they won't change, claiming they know what their customers want better than we do! My only suggestion is, in future book locally, either direct with the companies or the reception of your hotel / apartment and you will be able to benefit from the full list of pickup points available to you. We do hope that you will come and see us again soon
Me and my partner went to Benidorm for a week so we decided to book a trip to Valencia with Round Town Travel and I don’t think we could have been any happier. Valencia is such a beautiful and massive city. The historical landmarks were amazing. We loved walking around looking at the buildings and even had time to sit and have a drink. We decided to walk around ourselves so not to join in on the tour by the guide but we wished we did in the end because we were stressing about time a bit as we didn’t know the quickest routes to get to all these places as our data wasn’t working.
We decided to also buy the extra admission to Oceanographic and that was just such a beautiful experience. We were so happy we chose to go. We got to see different types of fish we haven’t seen before and we also watched a dolphin show which was fantastic. But don’t expect for the dolphins to jump too much. It was more of an educational performance than a what Tricks a dolphin can do. It was really beautiful.
Our guide - Charlotte, made our trip 10 times better. She was so amazing and friendly, making sure we all knew where and when to be picked up (Serrano Towers) so we didn’t miss our coach. While on the bus, Charlotte would be speaking in the speakers about the facts if Valencia and what we were passing on our way to Valencia. We loved our time on the trip so much and had such a lovely experience with the guide that we were planning on going on another Round Town Travel trip however the next one we were interested in didn’t start until a week after we’d be gone which was such a shame.
RTT also have a WhatsApp number you can message for any questions and they respond so quickly! Very lovely business and very lovely people.
Don’t panic if the coach doesn’t show up on time exactly. There was a lot of traffic on the morning of our pick up due to elections.
Strongly recommend this experience and hope you have a lovely time just like we did :)
Really enjoyed Valencia and definitely worth visiting and will probably go again in the future. I decided just to explore by myself rather than take the walking tour or get a lift to the stadium or aquarium. I explored the centre and historic landmarks, then walked through a really long beautiful park all the way to the oceangraphic aquarium which I'd really recommend if you like walking and have good weather! I then decided to go to the aquarium too and there is plenty to do and see.
Only reason I didn't put 5/5 was because I didn't think the pick up timings were stated very clearly for each location, and should have been listed on the map document that was handed out so there is no confusion. I ended up leaving the aquarium earlier than needed to and waiting for an hour outside when I could have had longer looking around. But communication was good from the company to check details, ensuring that I did get back on the coach.
Also in the morning I was picked up from the ocas hotel but they also had more pick ups on route that was closer to where I was staying but wasn't an option for me to select when booking but would have made it easier for me to get to first thing in the morning.
Charlotte the host was lovely and I really enjoyed all the facts about benidorm and Valencia that she was stating on route. Would definitely recommend this excursion!

We take on board your comment about the departure times from each of the points, but these are confirmed with all of the passengers that we take to each place. We don't expect people to go off on their own and just turn up at one of the different deprture points because that leaves us not knowing where the passengers would be waiting. Luckily we had your telephone and were able to call and locate you as we were waiting for you to get back on at the stop you got off at. Your booking was made with Viator and sadly we are limited to how many pickup points we can advertise with them as they restrict pickups only to hotels and yet we have over 20 convenient pickups in Benidorm and the surrounding areas, not all of which are at hotels. We have raised this with Viator on numerous occasions over the years, but they don't seem to want to change their system as they know better than what we do as to what their customers want. If you had booked directly with the hotel or apartment you were staying at, or with us directly, you would have been allocated the pickup point closest to your accommodation. In most cases, this is no more than a two minute walk. It's a real shame that you missed some time from the Oceanografic centre, sadly you didn't go with us though, so we were not able to give you the time that we would look to depart there. We did respond to your message within a minute of receiving it, so not really sure why you came out over an hour early. You messaged at 16:37 and we responded at 16:38. Our scheduled pickup time from the Oceanografic was at 17:30. Thank you for your kind words regarding Charlotte, she is a fountain of knowledge. Valencia is a beautiful city, one which deserves a few days to really get to see it, so hopefully you will be able to go back and do some more discovering. I took the guided tour extra in Valencia which I highly recommend, the guide was knowledgeable and the whole experience was awesome! Agua De Valencia is a cocktail that needs to be had when in Valencia!

Absolutely amazing experience in Valencia. We also went to the Aquarium whilst we were there which was outstanding never seen anything like it. Would definitely recommend and will definitely go back in the future

The walking tour was brilliant very informative and the recommendation of the bar for our drinks was stunning.
Complete waste of time . Paid for guided tour of Old city. Tour guide spent most of his time looking at his iPhone . What he did say was of little interest. This was an additional cost . Then a bus tour off the city ( extra payment) which was shambolic. The bus broke down after 10 minutes. The driver spoke no English and nobody was aware it had broken down for at least 25 minutes. We waited a further 35 minutes for a replacement bus which was full so standing room only . This bus had no audio so we may as well boarded a local service bus . Arrived an hour late for our pick up back to Benidorm. The member of staff Lynn kindly reimbursed us for the city tour shambles . A wasted day in a city that has so much to offer. My advice is do your own thing in Valencia don't depend on " add on " tours.

I'm sorry that you considered a day out in Valencia was a waste of your time. We have never received a complaint regarding the walking tour by the official guide, including, you can see for yourself on Trip Advisor the fantastic reviews that people have made regaring it. There was an issue with the city tour bus, one which was out of yoru control and you were duly refunded for immediately. As we are in Spain, the drivers are only required to speak Spanish and not English and I can only presume from your comments, as a visitor to this country, you were not able to speak their language.
