This tour was incredible! I’ve been on several tours around the world (70+ countries) and Dave is probably one of the best tour guides I have ever had! He is so knowledgeable and passionate about Lebanon!
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn about the rich history of Lebanon and see how different and diverse each region/city/town is!

David is a great tour guide! He is very knowledgeable about the history of Tripoli and Lebanon, he’s outgoing, and funny. I had so much fun on the tour and I learned a lot. I was very lucky to go on a Friday when the streets aren’t as busy in Tripoli and I was the only one on the tour that day. He took me around the old madrassa and souk of Tripoli and then to the castle ruins. Afterwards, we had traditional Lebanese sweets and coffee before heading to the party sea side village of Batroun, where we got to see all the beautiful churches and the old phoenician wall. Absolutely recommended!

I loved every minute of the tour. More than that though, I really enjoyed the drive to and from Tripoli as Dave the tour guide talked me through the history of his beloved country. From the food (the sweets are world class), history, buildings, and the people, it was a fantastic trip. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
I will certainly be taking more tours with Dave on my next visit to Lebanon.

I did six tours with about five different companies, Dave was definitely the best guide. He is so knowledgeable and passionate about his country, which he describes as small, crazy, and magical. My only regret is I had him on the last day, I would probably have gotten more out of the trip if he was my guide earlier.
Tripoli and Batroun were very different, which made for a fascinating day and I appreciate the company running the tour even though I was the only one who booked that day.

I really recommend this tour! The tour guide Dave was very passionate. As a woman travelling alone, it is sometimes scary to do things with people you don't know, but I can safely say that the tour was so professional and I loved it! The transportation was nice as well, we travelled in a small touring bus. I also signed up for his wine tour afterwards which was very fun and educational as well !

Another Lebanese bucket list checked off and so worthwhile. Our guide had the talent of making complicated issues understandable with his analogies which really helped me to understand and appreciate Lebanese culture and history better. Tripoli is so different from Beirut and I enjoyed all the destinations. If you want to gain perspective then book a tour thru Dave Holidays

Dave was not only knowledgeable re. the history of the region, but he was also attentive, intuitive, patient, and flexible. This makes for an excellent tour! He could not improve his tour if he wanted to (other than by potentially calling guests themselves rather than having hotel do it and reducing prices slightly). However, overall, this tour was well worth it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Most of the triip was spent in the northern lebanese town of Tripoli, which has it's own distinct atmosphere, much more authentic and untouristy, unlike the very international feel of Beirut.
There was a little walking involved in quite ht temeratures, so it's important t take enough water and sun protection. So after an interesting visit to th crusader castle the stop for refreshments at one of the famous (for pastries) coffee shops was a welcome break.
I was fortunate enough to do this trip with Dave, as not only does he have a great historical knowledge he also knows a lot of the recent history of what's going on in Lebanon and the area.
He is also a very personable guy, and (being a musician) gave us a rendition of his musical repertoire on the way back to Beirut.
I thoroughly recommend this trip to Tripoli & Batroun.

The Tripoli-Batroun (Full day) tour with Dave was a great experience. Dave was extremely knowledgeable and provided a great day of sightseeing. It was nice hearing about the history of Lebanon and some of his personal experiecnes. At the time of booking I requested to see a certain attractions. Dave was able to make it happen. I highly recommend a tour with Dave.

Dave himself was our guide and he did a very well job. Not only the historical facts also he told me a lot about daily living and so on. Time went by very fast. If I will come back Dave will be my first choice.
