Really nice tour and a great way to get an introduction to the city center of Beirut and the National Museum. HIghtly recommend.

The guide was amazing!!! She knew a ton of stuff about everything the problem is that we didn't go to enough places.
But there was very little walking and the tour was half at the National Museum. I would much rather have walked all over Beirut for 5 hours listening to her than to even go to the museum. I was very disappointed in this tour, especially at 40 US. Not worth it. We didn't go right up to the statue in Martyr's square or walk through the souq, things I would have thought would be do-not-miss on such an expensive tour.

You see the centre and the museum.. The agent and guide pick you up from hotel. The museum is a must because you to get to see how old, vibrant and cosmopolitan country it is. On adorn what a remarkable job the country has done to rebuild he museum. i recommend to take afternoon tour too

The tour was fantastic - really insightful and a good duration - not too long but long enough to cover the important historical areas downtown. However I had to leave my hotel very early in the morning to get to the Viator meeting point on time, only to be transported 30 minutes right back to my hotel-area to commence the walking tour. I wish that the representative who coordinated my transportation would have pointed out the fact that my hotel is closer to the walking tour area than the meeting point, and allowed me to instead meet the group at the first landmark. I wasted 1 hour in travel time at the start of my day.

very nice guide, but walking part is too short and museum is too long maybe...I would have preferred to spend more time outdoor...

All including pick up from the hotel was very well organised. The guide was excellent and I learned a lot about the history of Lebanon. Great experience.

Madeline the tour guid again today was incredible.the walking tour of downtown Beirut was amazing, it could be completed alone but it was nice being in a group. The Beirut museum was amazing, beautiful. Watched a video about it being built and loved exploring it after. Fabulous gift shop. Went to the mountains later in the day, made extra, was so beautiful. Went to mount Lebanon and saw old villages and had lunch in the mountains, amazing lunch! Madeline was.my favorite tour guid.

We found this very interesting. We were lucky enough to get into the Parliament area. It was beautiful. We wished we had been able to continue with the group for lunch and the afternoon tour but had not been made aware of this option soon enough.

Excellent! The walking tour was just what I needed to learn the history of downtown Beirut and visit the National Museum. Our guide was a mind of information and knowledge about the monuments she proudly showed the group. The weather was unfortunately not brilliant - pouring with rain - but our guide made it all so interesting that you forgot about the weather! I found Viator very professional and accommodating managing to put us (two adults and one child) on the afternoon trip to Chouf when we found out that morning that the tour had two parts. My 7 year-old daughter loved the trip and was far from bored with the historical information. Definitely recommend this trip and other Viator tours to others.

Tour guide was good but it is a tour that can be done alone

A great way to see Beirut, the tour was well paced and informative. I recommend this to everyone who goes there. I was so impressed I did a tour the next day to the Becca Valley.

Thanks to the well-informed, charming Eliane I learnt a lot about the recently 'contested' parts of Beirut during the civil war, the rebirth of downtown Beirut. The visit to the Museum was special. Would be great to have a slightly longer tour for those of us interested in a deeper and slightly wider experience, ie Ottoman Beirut, getting inside key buildings, a neighbourhood, personalised stories. Needless to say south Beirut is ignored by most tour groups but hard to ignore politically!
