Highly recommend this tour. Very comfortable air-conditioned 16 seater mini bus and our guide Jason was a local Bath person so provided very knowledgeable commentary. Each stop was picturesque and enjoyable with plenty of free time in each village.

Full day out visiting 5 towns. Plenty of time in each spot for a wander around or a bite to eat.
Shaun, our guide, was wonderful and had a great knowledge of the area.

This was a great day trip from Bath. We got to explore several quaint little English villages each with a character all their own. We brought back a beautiful ornament from a little Christmas shop in Bourton-on-the-Water.

This is a full day tour 8-5
The guide Sean was very knowledgeable and was talking 90% of the time. More time could have been spent at Bourton by the water. It was hard to see and do things and eat lunch. Very cute villages.

I recently went on this tour with Kevin and it was a wonderful experience! We travelled to several spots within the Cotswolds and got to experience an array of different landscapes. Kevin was truly an excellent tour guide and driver for our group, which was the perfect size. I felt I learned a lot through this tour about the history and facts of the region. You’re given ample time in Stow on the Wold for lunch - for me, I would have preferred more time in the other stops we made on the tour, but I also recognize parking can be logistically difficult for arranging longer stops in the smaller villages due to traffic. I would highly recommend this tour for a thorough and educational trip through the Cotswolds! Thank you Kevin!

What a fabulous day out. Not only was Bill from Mad Max Tours knowledgeable about the area, he was thoroughly entertaining adding to the pleasure of the whole trip.

It was relaxing and fun. We got time in four towns to explore, eat, shop, etc. Tge scenery along the way was iconic. Chris S. was our tour guide and he did a great job!

This was a great trip to different villages in the Cotswolds. My guide was Kevin and he did an excellent job of explaining each place we went. This is a good way to see a lot of the Cotswolds in one day.

Most fantastic tour. Beautiful stops, tons of photo ops and extremely scenic countryside along the drive to get there and back. Our guide Bill was a pleasant and knowledgeable guide, and interjected fun facts and humor all day. We just came off a cruise doing 10 different tours and Bill blew all the other tour guides away. Thank you, Bill!

Lovely day out, excellent driver/guide. Many benefits to having a smaller coach in this area and the amount of time felt sufficient at each stop. One stop on the itinerary wasn’t visited or mentioned however; did not see Montecalme Abbey.

Sean, the driver and tour guide was quite knowledgeable. He was very kind even stopping to get a “lardy” cake for all is us to share. On the way back to Bath, he made unexpected stops for photo opportunities!

Andy, our driver/Tour guide for MadMax, was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and provided historical/background information on every place we visited or drove by. We had a small group of guests which was wonderful.
The weather cooperated right up until we were almost finished, but Andy reminded us that is why everything is so green and lush This was a great way to see the highlights of the Cotswolds in a long day and I am very glad that we booked it. I recommend MadMax tours and Andy if you want a great experience.

We had such a fantastic day exploring the Cotswolds! Our driver, Sean, absolutely made the trip—funny, knowledgeable, and full of little insights that kept things interesting from start to finish. He struck that perfect balance of giving us great information without ever feeling like a lecture.
The timing in each village was spot on—enough to wander, take photos, and soak it all in without ever feeling rushed or, on the flip side, wondering what to do with extra time. And wow… the scenery. Just beautiful everywhere you looked. We even lucked out with the weather, which made it all the more enjoyable.
One of the best parts was the small group size—it made getting on and off the bus quick and easy, and gave the whole day a more relaxed, personal feel.
Highly recommend this tour if you want a fun, easy, and genuinely lovely way to see the Cotswolds!

Kevin took us to four different villages and at each one he ensured we had an understanding and appreciation of each as well as unique features. The time spent at each location was ideal, and arriving early as we did at Castle Combe ensured we were able to enjoy this most beautiful village with just our small group.
Being driven to the villages took the stress out of navigation and parking, and the small coach was very comfortable. As a solo traveler I even had my own window and single set.
A great way to see this spectacularly preserved part of the country.

Such a wonderful day! Definitely the easiest way to see some beautiful nearby Cotswold towns from Bath. Our bus driver/tour guide Kevin was fantastic—friendly, approachable, knowledgeable of the area and its incredible history and pleasant to listen to. He even had learned all our names by the end of the day! The coach was brand new and comfortable, the other passengers (from all over) were great to get to know and we saw so much more of the area than we ever would have another way. Well worth the price

I think this tour is a great way to explore small towns in the Cotswolds that are usually difficult for travelers to reach by public transportation. The guide provided informative introductions about the history and scenery along the way, and was very friendly in pointing out places worth visiting.
However, I would recommend going on a weekday if possible—during this trip on a weekend, there was heavier traffic and larger crowds. In addition, the journey involves quite a lot of time on the coach, and for some villages, you can only view them from the bus rather than walk around, so at times it feels more like a sightseeing drive.
