After having had excellent experiences of using Viator in the USA, this one left us sorely disappointed. This fee is to be able to download an App that offers commentary on a walking tour across Bath. Totally different from what I was looking for. Was further deceived into thinking I was getting into something else when the email from Viator asked me to go to their office to collect my tickets. That office was closed and pointed to another location where they had re-located and there was no office in that second building either. The phone number to call was a non-UK number which no longer existed. Seemed like a scam.

To clarify for future customers reading this: This product is a self-guided walking tour, which is clearly stated in the tour title, description, inclusions, and throughout the booking process on Viator. There is no physical office to visit, no ticket collection, and no in-person guide — the entire experience runs through the app, exactly as advertised. Regarding support: We provide 24/7 customer assistance, including email, WhatsApp, and two phone numbers (one for the UK/Europe and one for international travellers). Viator also provides a direct messaging channel to contact us instantly. We received no message or call from you through any of these channels. Unfortunately, if instructions are not read or if the product purchased is not the product someone expected, there is little we can do after the fact. The tour functions normally and thousands of travellers use it without issue each year. We understand misunderstandings happen, but the experience described in your review does not reflect how our service works. This is a good idea and was great to start with. But then the App kept crashing. I had to uninstall and reinstall three times and gave up in the end. I did message someone about it but I just got told to make sure I was online...which I was. I also had problems with the audio not playing properly when it was working at the beginning so all in all I'd not recommend this.

Self guided tours are the best! They allow you to go at your own pace and are a fraction of the cost of a group tour. This tour even included recommendations for ice cream and pubs and coffee shops. Delightful!

This private tour is brilliant, highly recommend it. Helen, the narrator is great, very informative. The great thing about it, you can pick and choose when to stop for refreshments, your not part of a massive group, and your at your own pace. 2.5 hrs to complete by the description on the tour but we took 5 hrs, this was due to taking our time and spending longer at the parks.
