Death train history and water fall swim and view

Keith_A, Mar 2025
Bella our tour guide was just brilliant. She sent us a msg the day before saying when she would pick us up etc. on time and perfect. The van was very comfortable clean, and loads of bottled cold water available. Bella explained the days agenda, and what a trip and experience. Bella covered the history of the places, and overall made the day.

Feeling Blessed

Andy_P, Feb 2025
Wow what an an amazing private tour. Today’s tour was up there with a number 1 tour that we did in Burma 6 years ago. Nan picked us up at the Century Park Hotel in Thailand at 6:30am. She was bang on time time and introduced herself and her driver and then we set off in a luxury 8 seater air con vehicle with just me and the Mrs as it was a private tour. We visited everything that was promised to us on our itinerary and Nan hand us all of the way. Nan was informative, knowledgeable and provided a professional service throughout the tour. She was friendly and we had such great fun in her company. We learnt so much on this tour, not least of of all because it was emotional, as my wife's late father was a war veteran in the Burma war campaign. The water falls were a refreshing break so as to admire the beauty and to cool down with a refreshing dip. Just enough time to capture some photos up to level 5. All in all Nan provided us with an extremely well balanced tour, it was not rushed and yet no one stop was to long either. Whilst hot and a long lengthy day, we were well looked after with water, a very comfy air con roomy vehicle and to top it off; a superb lunch finished off with the sticky rice and mango which is a must. Finally, we arrived back at the hotel about 7:30pm. Nan, you get a 10/10 for providing us with an excellant tour today. Well done and we certainly recommend your tour to others. PS: please note this tour does involve some steep inclines so we would warn other that you do need a reasonable level of fitness. i.e a fitness level of around 3/5.

A great tour

It’s a very long day but really interesting. Our tour guide was very informative and we learned a great deal about the Burma/Thailand railway. Our meal at the waterfalls was very enjoyable and swimming in the beautiful pools was lovely.

Incredible

Adam_D, Nov 2024
The tour guide, Ying was absolutely incredible. She genuinely wanted us to have the best possible experience and get as much done as possible, even allowing us to eat lunch on the move so we had time to make it to the top layer of Erawan (which was beautiful and well worth it). Her knowledge was second to none and you can tell she has a genuine passion for her work. If you book this tour and get Ying you are in for a treat!

Great time! Great Guide.

Absolutely love the tour. Nan was amazing and very knowledgeable. She answered all of the questions we asked along the way. The waterfall was a highlight for sure. Would recommend this tour to any and all. My husband who doesn’t like water even enjoyed the waterfalls. We enjoyed the railway portion of the trip as well. The van was comfortable and our driver was great. It was nice having the van to ourselves. The roadside lunch may have been our best so far. Just a side note. It is a very long car ride back to Bangkok. Just be prepared.

Great day trip from Bangkoj

Loic_G, Jul 2024
Great day trip from Bangkok with family fun at the waterfalls and historic landmarks at the bridge and the death railways. Our guide Peter was great sharing many informative anecdotes and being very attentive throughout a long day.

Full day trip which was so memorable and enjoyable

Mark_D, Jul 2024
Very well run day trip. The car was very comfortable and spacious which perfect for a nap during the 2.5 hour drive from Bangkok to River Kwai (and 3.5 hour drive back from Erawan). Nan was an excellent tour guide with great knowledge, very friendly and very accommodating our priorities for the day. Her English was excellent. Our lunch was tasty and efficient which let us spend 2 hours at Erawan National Park - our highlights were the hellfire pass audio tour and swimming at erawan falls. The diver did a great job considering the many hours required of him (we arrived back at the hotel at about 7.15pm but could have spent less time at each location if we needed to get back earlier). Great value tour considering that it is genuinely a full day trip.

Death Railway and Erawan Falls with Peter

td92577, Jun 2024
Peter curated an amazing day for my husband and I along with our 3 children. This really could/should be split into two days of trips but when you only have two weeks to tour the country, combining them works. I was nervous that my kids would not be as interested in learning about the railway, but Peter’s storytelling about the history really got their attention and made for a great day for all. And of course the waterfalls were a huge hit with everyone. Peter made sure to tell us which levels made sense to visit and which didn’t due to rain levels and he was correct. All in all a fantastic day!

Long but fabulous

Sharon_D, May 2024
This was a long but fabulous tour. Our guide and driver took very good care of us and kept us informed of the plans all day. The waterfall was lovely and fun to swim in and cool off. The most unexpected thing was the quality of the museum at Hellfire Pass and how meaningful that was. Lunch was good and everything ran very smoothly. Would highly recommend this tour.

Trip into the history of Thailand

Emmanuelle_B, Mar 2024
Amazing trip into the history of Thailand and the Second World War, we learnt a lot and our guide was so funny. We had the chance to cool down in the nice waterfalls on our way to the hellfire pass.

Great waterfall and history

Janessy_V, Feb 2024
Our guide Peter was a great guide. He was knowledgeable, helpful and really loves his job. The sites were beautiful. My husband enjoyed the WW2 history and I loved the waterfall!

Hellfire pass plus waterfalls

Kate_B, Feb 2024
There is a lot of history plus an amazing water fall on this tour. Nan was a fantastic guide who allowed the perfect amount of time at each place and took photos for us. Be aware it’s a very long way to go but totally worth it! We left at 6:30am and got back to our hotel at 7pm(plus Friday traffic was crazy)

Long day.

jeffrey_a, Feb 2023
This is a long day in the car. 8 hours of driving for 12 hour tour. The Hellfire pass center is amazing and may make the trip worthwhile. The waterfalls you could spend all day there. Our guide was not proficient in English so we did not get much background and cultural information. It made it a difficult trip.

Response from Host, Feb 2023

Dear Jeffrey, we apologize for the inconvenience caused during your tour with us. We are sorry to hear that our guide was not able to provide sufficient information and communication due to language barriers. We take your feedback seriously and we will work to improve our service to ensure a more enjoyable and informative experience for all of our customers. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Long day but well worth it.

Maree_F, Feb 2023
It was a very long day but everyone really enjoyed it. We would have enjoyed a little more time at the waterfall and Hell Fire Pass but that would require cutting out other parts. The waterfall was definitely the highlight.

Visit everything in a day!

Andrei_S, Nov 2022
Very productive trip! Initially it is basically 2 stops: waterfall for 2 hours and Hellfire Pass for another 2 hours. But with kind tour guide Mr. AKE I've adjusted it to visit more significant places! First, we stopped at Kanchanaburi war cemetery for 10 minutes and for another 25 minutes at the famous bridge over the river Kwai, which is nearby. Those places are as significant as Hellfire pass itself, must visit! And only then we headed for the waterfall. Take note that waterfall is a very large area, consisting of 7 levels (7 small waterfalls) and to visit them all you need at least 2 hours! For me, to see 3 levels is enough to get taste of it and to save time for other places. After that we had lunch at the waterfall entrance area and proceeded to Helfire Pass. There is an amazing museum with Pass itself, you need around 2 hours there, as well. We've reached Bangkok by around 7 PM. Thank you for the productive tour and adjusting it to see most of it! Waterfall for 30 minutes is enough and those 1.5 hours worth to invest into Death Railway landmarks.

Amazing time!

Katie_E, Nov 2022
Our guide was so lovely and knowledgeable, she let us do some exploring on out own. She even had tissue paper for the restrooms for us which was such a thoughtful thing to do. If you have time definitely recommend!

Excellent tour

Amazing experience, Toon was brilliant. Very informative and helpful. I would recommend to anyone who is interested in history.

Alles perfekt

Julia_J, Nov 2024

GustavoIgnacio_S, May 2024
