Best trip on this island, very well organised, have been taken to the best spots for snorkelling! Very well looked after with plenty of soft drinks / fruit / crisps. Crew all lovely, shoutout to captain for providing guided snorkelling spots.

Firstly, the excursion was advertised as “semi-VIP”. I would like clear clarification on what semi-VIP actually means in practical terms. This description was a significant factor in my decision to book, yet the experience provided did not reflect any discernible level of enhanced service or comfort. In addition, the coffee machine was not available, despite being advertised. Since submitting my complaint, I have read multiple previous reviews raising the exact same issue. This suggests an ongoing and known problem, rather than an isolated incident, yet this was not explained or acknowledged. I also raised concerns regarding the lack of clear communication around timings throughout the day. There was little to no explanation given about schedules, durations, or delays, which added unnecessary confusion and frustration. This point has again not been addressed. Finally, the advertised inclusion of snacks (crisps/chips) was not provided. These are clearly documented as part of the experience. Overall, the experience did not match what was advertised, and several important aspects of my complaint remain unanswered.

We knew we are going to get this review from you because we have declined your request for a full refund, Blackmail supplier is against the Tripadvisor policy. Semi VIP mean it is 50% of an overall vip experience, - Small group limited to 20pax max, rather the standard join tours that have 60-70pax per group. This allow more easy going tour that flow quick and we can provide more personal service and help for each participant. - A different time table to try avoid crowed in touristic areas as much as we can. - An extra stop to play water on isolated spot where we provide beach toys, fresh fruits and enjoy the nature of isolated beach. We are the only tour that park at that spot. - It also mean the use of snorkeling masks in different style and size so everyone can enjoy the snorkeling experience. - The semi VIP also includes everything so there are no hidden fees or extras you need to pay like an island fees, drinks or rental of equipment. - Semi VIP also mean quick departure process so once you arrive to the pier in just few minutes of short safety brief you hop on the boat on the way, not seating and waiting for an hour for all other buses to arrive packed with tourists. The time table, full itinerary is listed online, anyone can read it before booking. The time for pick up is listed online clearly and you also get contact details so its very easy to contact by phone, mail or chat to check about more accurate pick up time from your location. Sorry the coffee machine broke so we could not offer a cup of coffee before departure, but issue a full refund or getting a 1 star review for that seems not reasonable for us. Your tour included 14pax on a 25 seat boat. Very comfortable, lots of space and easy going. Everything was quick and easy to handle. Small group of 14pax only is a really semi vip style. Bottom line we've got a 1 star review from you because we did not provide a cup of coffee. We will consider and try to improve.

But shambolic but pig island worth a visit

The driver was 20 mins late picking up. We had no idea how to contact. So was about to give up when they turned up The guide on the trip spoke little English so we were never sure what was going on. Pig island was nice. Snorkelling was horrid as lots of weeds wrapping around your ankles and few fish. The speed boat trip was a good way to travel as very choppy sea but he rode with the waves so not too bumpy. On the way back we had to wait 45 mins for the driver to pick us up, so bit of a shambles really. No tea/coffee on offer as advertised and no beach games equipment provided.

Thank you for taking the time to review the Pig island snorkeling tour. This is not private it is a join tour so pick ups several hotels and waiting time up to 20min is normal. We did message you the evening before to let you know about the approx pick up time. When you book you get clear contact details include phone number, Whatssup, E Mail and full address as well, very easy to contact us if needed. Weather was not the best and it effect the Sea condition. Car for the way back there had an accident and had to wait for another car to arrive from another side of the island. We are unable to hold an extra car standby in place and this kind of things unfortunately can happen, we also can understand customer dont have patient to wait.

Complete lies & incompetence

Booked a semi private experience, which actually had 4 different groups in! Full mini bus, Same size as any other activity, not private in any way. No real food at all, a few bits of melon is not a platter. No tea or coffee offered at any point. No clear instructions, safety briefing or itinerary run down at any point, didn't lnow what on earth we were doing for most of the day. First we were taken to a random pointless shore and told we would spend 40 mins there, nobody knew why & asked if we could snorkel, they said no. So everyone was just stood around in some shallow water confused for 40 mins. Then we finally were taken to a different place where we were told we could finally snorkel, but after 10 minutes they told everyone to get back on board! It was extremely frustrating & annoying. No toys/games offered at any point. When at pig island we were told to meet back at the boat at 12pm, 12:30pm, 1pm some guy eben wrote 22:45 in the sand! No body had a clue what was going on..... And when confusion is brought to the table, people get fed up & don't want to get caught out by incredibly terrible instructions so we were all just wondering back & forth to the boat. Was a complete disaster of a trip & a waste of a day & money. Then after we were rushed back 45 minutes earlier than what was expected, we had to sit in some awful made up seating area for at least 30+ minutes for out mini bus to pick us all back up. Absolute joke, zero stars should be an option

Thank you for the review and sorry to see you rate it only 4 stars😳 We do include isolated spots to enjoy the water, swim, take pictures and explore the nature around before heading to Snorkeling coral reef where there are other tours as well so it is more crowded on high season😊 We do try to arrive there after rush hour when commercial tours already left😊🙏🏼 We would appreciate to see some words about all the extras that we serve on board all day, the variety of soft drinks and crisps, beach toys and price covering the island fees as well so no additional costs when you arrive🙏🏼

Fun day out with beautiful scenery

This was a fun, relaxing trip with beautiful scenery. We arrived at Nathon Pier via cruise ship and were collected promptly at the agreed time with a driver holding a sign with my name on it. Then a 25-ish minute drive to the departure location in the southern part of Koh Samui. We were delayed here due to another group getting on the wrong bus, however this was explained to us in a timely fashion. In the end we were 20 minutes late in departing, but this wasn't really a problem as there was plenty of shade to rest in and lots to look at. Then our small group of 9 hopped on a well-maintained speed boat with friendly, English-speaking staff to the first destination, which was a beautiful small beach where we were the only people. We had 30 minutes time to swim in the calm, warm water and were served lovely fresh fruit whilst swimming. Then back to the boat, second destination was a reef where we spent some time snorkelling. There were several groups here but still didn't feel too crowded. Third destination was pig island. The pigs were adorable and well-behaved, mostly congregated around the two food outlets unsurprisingly. There was a great bar with some cheap, delicious Thai food and I had a very good Pina Colada. Quick swim after lunch to cool off, then back on the speedboat, then transferred back to the cruise ship pier in a timely fashion. Cold water and soft drinks were available all day. A great way to spend 5 hours in Koh Samui, particularly if you have seen most of the island already.

We try to keep our tours in small groups as you described so this is real semi VIP feeling. The locations we stop are also important so we let our customer enjoy the nature and isolated beaches. Pig island is overrated

Wasn’t thrilled with this trip, very little information provided before setting off, had to reach out to trip provider to confirm if we needed towels (we did). waited 20 mins in heat to be collected, pig island is ridiculously busy - not something i’d suggest people spend half a day to see. tour operators meant well but when they asked for tips from our group they only got 200 baht. i don’t believe that is because anyone was being cheap.

Hello, You have booked a semi VIP which is a join tour where you join with others on the boat. Transport is not private and share with others in the car which mean there is not fixed sharp pick up time and if guest who were picked up before you was 5min late, it will effect the next pick up...hope this can be accepted when booking a join tour. If book private tour the pick up is always on time exactly:-) Before getting to Pig island Koh Matsum you have cruised around the island for sight seeing, swimming, being served with fresh fruits platters, beach toys, soft drinks and unlimited crisps... Then we parked on a beautiful bay so everyone can take pictures, swim, jump and play with the children and chill. After that went on to snorkeling at coral reef where we give lots of time to explore the underwater life. At the end last stop on Matsum isalnd and also Pig island. This time of the year is Christmas + New year and the most crowded time for people to holiday. On top of that, the weather in the north area of Koh Samui was bad which caused many tours that originally were supposed to cruise to different areas to change their plan and arrived to the area where you were that is safe and secured between the islands, this fact made the Pig island more busy then it should with many boats that if the Ocean condition in the other parts would be ok they would not even be there with you. So this is much beyond our control. By the way, on our private VIP excursions we specifically try to avoid crowd and going to park on isolated spots as much as we can..

Es war eine tolle Tour. Super nette Guides, die sich rührend gekümmert haben, unbeschreiblich schöne Orte zum Baden und Schnorcheln. Zeit genug, um alles genießen zu können, ohne Längen. Die Schweine sind einfach unglaublich auf einer paradiesischen Insel. Ein perfekter Tag. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Also as you described we visit a nice place to chill in the water next to beach, play some beach toys and have fresh fruits as well as soft drinks and clots of crisps. For snorkeling we provide 2 kind of masks so everyone can have the correct size and style they prefer, full face or the ordinary ones. Everything about this tour moving quick and easy because of the small group it is. Hope to welcome you again in the future.:-)
