The itinerary is perfect, and our Guide Murad was very informative and very friendly.
The mud volcano was a bit disappointing (very small), but it is what it is.
Everything is as per the itinerary, i recommend getting the option with the lunch and without the tickets.
You will have to pay a total of 55 AZN per person for tickets and the ride to Mud Volcano.

Great trip very interesting things to see and Murad very professional and funny. He changes with ease between required languages and takes care to make sure everyone understands. The lady ride to the mud volcano was terrifying 😆 but hey it's an experience. Overall a day trip worth doing.

Unfortunately, the tour was not good. The only positive aspect was our guide, Gani, who remained informative throughout. But now the negatives:
The meeting point is fixed – there’s no hotel pickup, despite what might be assumed. This information is only sent via WhatsApp the evening before the tour.
Since not everyone has WhatsApp or internet access while abroad, we had to wait 30 minutes for passengers who didn’t receive the message.
The bus is so small that even the tightest budget airline seat feels spacious in comparison. I had to sit sideways the entire time because there simply wasn’t enough legroom. This was also true for my girlfriend. Several passengers ended up leaving halfway through the tour.
For the off-road part with the Ladas, they crammed 3 people into the back, with a total of 4 passengers plus the driver per car, for 30 AZN per person. The back seat was especially uncomfortable.
At the mud volcanoes, we weren’t taken to the official visitor center but to a remote area where there were some small volcanoes, but nothing as impressive as at the actual site.
Lunch was arranged at a typical tourist trap – the most expensive and worst meal we had in all of Azerbaijan, with a hidden 15% service charge not shown on the menu. Expect to pay 35–40 AZN per person at this 3.5-star restaurant.
Although the tour description states that the Heydar Aliyev Center entrance ticket is not included, it doesn’t really matter — the group arrives after closing time anyway.
I do not recommend this tour with SkyUp Travel to anyone. Those who lose the most are the ones who buy the "All-In" package with entrance fees included — they end up paying far more than those who choose the basic $10 option and pay for the tickets separately.
If I could, I’d give zero stars. Gani, the guide, really was good — but everything else was a disaster.

We’d like to clarify a few points for future travelers reading this:
As described in our tour details, hotel pickup is included , if customer stay not more than 5/7 min walk away we might ask them come meeting point. We understand not everyone has internet access, but WhatsApp is the most reliable tool we’ve found to communicate last-minute details efficiently. that's why we contact through over there.
The vehicle used is a standard size for day trips in the region. We do our best to balance affordability with comfort. We're sorry if the space felt tight. We spoke with tour guide no one left tour midway in that day.
The Lada ride is part of the adventure experience, with 4 or 3 passengers plus a driver, and pricing is disclosed in advance. While the backseat isn’t luxury-style, it’s in line with local off-road tour standards.
We visit a scenic area with active mud volcanoes that’s safe and accessible for big groups.
Our tour itinerary is stated that entrance tickets are not included. We try to reach the site in time, but sometimes delays can occur due to traffic or weather. We'll continue to monitor this and adjust where possible.

The tour exceed expectations. In one day time we managed to visit and learn a lot about Azerbaijan, it's history, culture and traditions.
Our guide was amazing, he is really knowledgeable and was happy to answer all our questions and share with us some insights and stories about the country and way of living.
I really recommend this tour to anyone who wants to discover something more aside of Baku.

This tour was exactly what I wanted to see in Baku. It was a long day but we saw a lot of sites that day. I especially like the Gobustan Rock Art and the Fire Temple. The buffet was good with a lot of selections. I would recommend this tour if these are the things you want to see in Baku.

I recommend the Gobustan and Absheron Tour. Admittedly, we started quite late due to street closures, but we managed to complete the tour plan in full. However, I think the tour program was too intense and we had to rush at every place. I would add that our guide was very friendly and tried to make the trip go as well as possible.

Full day trip well organized and managed by a nice and attentive guy. Excellent combo of attractions situated at opposite directions from Baku (south ovest- and north east) that would have been impossible to visit without a car. I also enjoy travelling with people coming from many different countries, cool vibes!

Tural was a A very informative guide and his English was good and he showed us all the stops on iteniary with out rushing. also gave us a bottle of water. I am surprised more people havnt left reviews especially the price that I booked this for it's the cheapest price for what you see. I was surprised that the taxi to mud volcanoes was more like a jeep safari experience. I thoroughly enjoyed this more than the jeep safari In Dubai. the mud volcanoes was good.

We went on a day trip from Baku to Gobustan/Mud Volcanos (with a Lada race)/Burning mountains etc and we had an unbelievable experience! Our tour guide Adil is an incredible historian and gave a thoroughly interesting tour - we would highly recommend requesting him to be your tour guide! He was extremely knowledgable of every aspect of the tour, and his passion for the history. Experience is incredible and the history we learnt from having a tour guide was amazing - we would highly recommend having a tour as there is so much history you learn that you wouldn’t if you didn’t have a tour guide.

A thoroughly enjoyable experience. I was feeling quite tired from a late night before but Tural was very attentive and cool about it. I was the only English speaker in my group but Tural made sure I had an equal experience to the others and often would come and talk to me one-to-one to ensure I was enjoying myself.

My trip to Baku, Gobustan and Absheron was like being immersed in another world. In Gobustan, I stood in awe in front of ancient cave paintings, imagining life years ago. History and nature seemed to come alive before my eyes. A truly unforgettable experience)))!

Our tour guide was Murat was he was great, funny and full of facts, learnt a lot about the history of Baku and the land. Just be aware there is a hidden cost going to gobustan as you have to pay extra to get a cab up to the top, and the driver harasses you for a tip.

The tour was horrible. The guide was not informative and not audible as well. Felt like just reciting and telling. On top of it, no proper time was said for the pickup and made us rushed in the last minute and got blamed for getting delayed. Poor organizers and spoiled the mood for the day.

Our guide was very nice and the bus of good quality. But that's not enough IMHO: the guide's English was very basic, he could only recite what he had learned and not answer any of my questions. What's called "the burning mountain" is a fire of maybe 2 sqm, so rather small. The mud volcanoes were only a few and there was hardly any activity, only a tiny blurb now and then. We heard there's very many very active mud volcanoes elsewhere in the country that would have been worthwhile visiting. As for the stop "Heydar Aliyev Museum" I asked beforehand and was told that we would stop there for 25 minutes. However, we didn't get to see it from the inside at all; only from afar because we stopped at the "I love Baku"
sign quite a distance from the Museum. All in all, I cannot recommend this day trip.

Hello. First of all your tour experience rate is very low and frankly speaking not fair. You gaved 1 point to our service, which usually guests gave this point when they face very bad service or when they skip destinations and ext. however you have visited every place listed on the tour program you joined. We never skip any destination. I would say our group tour goes interesting. You can read previous reviews if you like.
About mud volcano of course we do have many volcano but it does not mean you can visit there or it is available for car or bus. If you knew it why then you did not go and explore by yourself ?! because you were pretty sure that it will cost you 5 time more. In tour details it is clear mentioned that we stop at Haydar Aliyev center for break and take a picture. In here we trying serve good to our guests and giving our best introducing our country Azerbaijan beauty,history to coming foreign people. Unfortunately,despite we do our best and discount tour cost,sometimes it is impossible to satisfy guests like you.
As for the tour guide's language skills our tour guides speak english enough well, even it is their third language.
